It is developed as an instinct to avoid disease. However, this is limited to ‘disease’. Martha Nussbaum divides aversion into two parts: ‘original disgust’ and ‘projective disgust’. The hatred of the original objects was called ‘original disgust’ and the expansion of people or groups from the original to other objects and considering them as harmful and dangerous ‘pollution sources’ was called ‘projective disgust.’ This study aimed to examine the problem of disease aversion through Ishimure Michiko's novel “Paradise in the Sea of Sorrow” which deals with Japan's representative pollution diseases such as Minamata disease. This text is a monumental work in many ways, including pollution literature, record literature, women's literature, and ecological literature. Through this review, I confirmed in the text how the emotion of “disgust” works within the individual, how it is transferred, and how it expands to group and group to group. \u0000What I wanted to reveal through this was the Minamata people as ‘being who is okay to hate’. I think Ishimure would have liked to rewrite the story in Minamata, in “the ursprung” and start again. “Paradise in the Sea of Sorrow” can be established as an “anti-hate novel” that resists stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination by revealing social stigma and disgust.

There seems no objection to the fact that the global spread of the pandemic and climate crisis derive from the capitalist way of life. Flat ontology is a posthumanist thesis that puts humans on the same plane as matter and nonhumans. This paper discusses the significance and limits of flat ontology that runs through posthuman materialisms including new materialisms and object-oriented ontology. \u0000The discussion starts with the humanist tradition of a deep mistrust of matter and the main tenets of flat ontology Latour, DeLanda, and Bryant have argued against it. Their theories, while different from one another, similarly insist on changing the world in terms of the ontological equality or symmetry of entities existing in the world. \u0000Analyzing those interrelated approaches critically intervenes in their arguments and examines if flat ontology may have complicit relationships with reality and contribute to the reterritorialization of capitalism. The politics of the posthuman projects to reorient materalism could be evaluated through this study.

Three works were performed at this time, including The magnanimous lover written by John Ervine. The 2nd performance was not a performance that received much attention overall, and The magnanimous lover was also evaluated as ‘normal’. However The magnanimous lover was an Irish play, and Irish plays performed in the 1920s and 1930s were often regarded as examples of special significance in Korean (Joseon) theater world. At the time of the regular performance Geugyesuryeonguhoe translated the play literally and performed it as it is in the original, and as a result the considerable value of this work could not be accurately portrayed. Therefore, academic research on The magnanimous lover has not been done properly so far, and the problems that appeared in the process of performing such a play on stage have not been essentially discussed. Based on the effect of ‘Injeong-play’ performed by The magnanimous lover, only the evaluation that the performance of the work was ‘normal’ was confirmed. Therefore, in this study, the image of the ruler and the objection of the ruled projected in this work will be explored, and the stage formation of such a theatrical message will be looked into critically.

As a result, the settlement village became another “the Sorokdo” that made it difficult for people with Hansen's disease to return to society, and the damage caused by such structural discrimination continued to posterity. However, despite being discriminated against as severely as their parents' generation, research on the children of people with Hansen's disease is very lacking. Therefor, the present study summarizes the experiences of discrimination endured by the children of people with Hansen's disease using a narrative research method with a focus on the characteristics of the space referred to as settlement villages. The South Korea government has yet to reflect on and compensate for the human rights violations experienced by the children of people with Hansen's disease and families. I hope this study will be the starting point for the social debate on discrimination experienced by the families of people with Hansen's disease.

The mass suicide of the Heike family, pictured in Heikemonogatari, is not a suicide of their own choosing, but rather a suicide that took place in an atmosphere of insistence on suicide. The presence of a gaze that condemns Munemori, who is unable to act out of fear of death, symbolizes that the suicide of the Heike family is a typical altruistic suicide. \u0000Niinoama committed suicide by jumping into the sea with a sword while holding the young emperor.
