An extremely high hole mobility has observed, along with the lowest value of effective mass to date, using Schubnikov de Haas oscillations for both normal and inverted structures. The channel is confirmed to be pure germanium, with low background impurity scattering that improves the hole transport.","PeriodicalId":443634,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE XXXIII International Scientific Conference Electronics and Nanotechnology (ELNANO)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-04-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129859347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We also demonstrate that the Rashba spin-orbit coupling may provide appreciable contributions to electronic properties of quantum dots by focusing on gate-controlled electron spins in quantum dots.In particular, we analyze the properties of anisotropic semiconductor quantum dots formed in the conduction band in the presence of the magnetic field. For this case, we formulate the Kane-type model and based on it we study the properties of dots by using both analytical and finite element techniques. It is shown that that in semiconductor quantum dots, the electron spin states in the phonon-induced spin-flip rate can be manipulated with the application of externally applied anisotropic gate potentials. The spin flip rates can be enhanced by such potentials, which can also reduce the level crossing points to lower quantum dot radii. We provide numerical examples providing further insight into these new findings where it is evident that these observed effects are due to the suppression of the g-factor towards bulk crystal. Based on these findings, the phonon induced spin-flip rate can be controlled through the application of spin-orbit coupling. Other coupled effects that affect the electronic properties of quantum dots are also discussed.","PeriodicalId":443634,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE XXXIII International Scientific Conference Electronics and Nanotechnology (ELNANO)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-04-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121968223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

High-density vertical nanorods were grown on Au-coated lithium niobate substrates and aluminum foil. Scanning electron microscopy results showed that hexagon-shaped ZnO nanorods with a diameter in the range of 150 nm to 300 nm and a length of about 3 μm were formed. Application of synthesized ZnO nanorods as sensing element of SAW devices will promote quality and accuracy enhancement, manufacturing simplification, and novel acoustic wave sensors simulation technique improvements due to the mathematical representation simplicity of the regular-shaped structures.","PeriodicalId":443634,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE XXXIII International Scientific Conference Electronics and Nanotechnology (ELNANO)","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-04-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115949057","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is supposed that the node to node communication links are performed with multi-element antennae and MIMO spatial multiplexing transmitting-receiving strategy in use. The signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) in the presence of interpath interference is analyzed. The cooperation among transmitted nodes is used to avoid the stream collision through the concurrent paths when the performance criteria is the quality of service (QoS) of peer to peer links. The revised water pouring algorithm (RWPA) that helps to redistribute the power among the transmitted antennae according to QoS performance criteria is discussed.
