Since the degree of semantic closeness between terminological units in the original language and the target language reveals the professional competence of the translator and taking into account the categorical principles of informative capacity and the high level of the system accuracy, the most productive ways of the term derivation are distinguished and described. It is revealed that transcoding is a common way of translation of internationalisms and two-component (or analytical) forms in the English economic nomination prevail quantitatively over one-component (or synthetic) ones. They are given preference because of their ability to convey the necessary differential features of phenomena and realities, to refine and concretize certain common concepts, translating them into the plane of narrow industry meaning. Based on the analysis, it is proved that in the list of morphological and syntactic means the most productive are two-component structural models, with the quantitative predominance of Adjective + Noun, Noun + Noun models, which is related to particular requirements for translation of economic terminology, such as adequacy and accuracy.","PeriodicalId":443470,"journal":{"name":"Humanities science current issues","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-08-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126408835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The interaction between psychological, sociological and linguistic prerequisites for borrowing of English financial and economic terms were analyzed. The content of such notions as status, function and prestige of language were actualized. The notion of language prestige is considered from different positions and receives asymmetric assessments. However, this emphasizes its impact on the formation of language status again. The status is closely related to functionality, since it makes sense only in the context of language usage. The article attempts to go beyond the ordinary line of psycholinguistic research through an interdisciplinary approach that will help to uncover certain laws of the language process and to form a modern psycho/socio/linguistic “portrait” of the Ukrainian society. In the course of the study, we conducted a linguistic experiment to analyze the changes in the attitude of recipients within a certain “semiotic group” to the concepts of status, functions and prestige of the Ukrainian language, which is used in the professional environment along with English. The psycho-linguistic basis of the study involves the actualization of the subjective component in the interpretation of the linguistic material. The article presents the survey results which were obtained due to a specially developed questionnaire that allows monitoring of various aspects of the linguistic behaviour of an individual or a separate community. Investigating the dynamics of the influence of psycho/socio/linguistic factors on the formation of an individual professional vocabulary, we concluded that the extra-linguistic factors are very important for understanding the linguistic behaviour of the recipients and the formation of the linguistic allegiance of individuals.","PeriodicalId":443470,"journal":{"name":"Humanities science current issues","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-08-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133367015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
