Розглянуто можливі шляхи та галузі застосування корпусних менеджерів в межах розвитку корпусної лінгвістики та застосування її засобів на практиці. У роботі були проаналізовані та окреслені такі поняття як корпусна лінгвістика, її функцій, перспективи та напрямки розвитку. Було досліджено поняття перекладацьких трансформацій; проаналізовано частотність вживання перекладацьких трансформацій на основі аналізу корпусу офіційно-ділових текстів за допомогою програмного забезпечення WordSmith Tools та Sketch Engine. На основі проведеного дослідження були зроблені такі висновки, що використання лексико-граматичних перекладацьких трансформацій у процесі перекладу текстів офіційного стилю зумовлено різною мовною природою англійської та української мови і є необхідною умовою вирішення проблеми адекватності перекладу. Considerable attention is paid to the formation of communicative activity through the use of active forms of work in the student foreign language audience. The authors consider the use of the communicative method as leading in the formation of communicative activity in Ukrainian language classes as a foreign language. Examples of effective forms of work in classes with foreign students while studying the Ukrainian language are given. Ways of formation and development of communicative skills of foreign students on the basis of work with texts are offered. Emphasis is placed on the types of work that involve bothcommunicative and situational tasks, and aims to develop communicative knowledge and skills in the use of different types of learningcommunicative situations. The authors give vivid examples of practical application of different types of work. Creative exercises for thedevelopment of productive monologue and dialogic speech are offered. {"title":"Repositories of higher pedagogical education institutions: new opportunities for scientific libraries","authors":"N. Scientific metrics of the above principles are given, determining scientific searches in line with differentiation of the typical composition of the institutional repository digital content in accordance with the following requirements: determination of quantitative indicators of scientific and educational materials loaded into repositories; Establishing the structure of funds, sub-funds, thematic collections and institutional repositories; Identification of their distribution on the Internet. On the basis of the established sample of libraries of higher educational institutions, general statistical indicators of the typical content of institutional repositories are established and presented. The activities of scientific libraries of higher educational institutions in the process of improving the presentation of user and analytical services in the content, which will promote published documents, will make it possible to monitor the number of views and downloads of documents in institutional repositories. Viewing the web pages of institutional repositories of libraries confirmed the author’s statement: library structures form and technologically accompany the process of meaningful formation of institutional repositories by means of developing thematic electronic collections, expanding the base of educational resources and recording the results of scientific research in the public domain. {"title":"The structure of out-of-school education content (1991–2014)","authors":"L. The author emphasizes that if the first factor prompted the creation of new forms and methods, the second, and, above all, financial difficulties ‒ hindered the introduction of innovations in the field of out-of-school education.In the system of out-of-school education of Ukraine, in 1991–2014, the definition and formation of its content became the most important and difficult issue. The content of out-of-school education of this period took into account the experience of the Soviet period and the conditions for organizing the activities of out-of-school institutions. The main idea of “new simplicity” is defined, which is embodied in the general principle of “dissolution” of creative individualism in the canon of genre style. This defines the principle of “stylistic anonymity”, which characterizes the “new simplicity” and the current stage of development of European musical professionalism. It is noted that the idea of simplification of style in the music art at the turn of the XX–XXI century centuries naturally found its embodiment in the genre reference points of the “new simplicity”: they appealed to the established types of musical imagery and expressiveness, which evoke specific associations in the cultural memory of European person. Peculiarities of mixed and distance mode of educational process organization are indicated. System principles of open education are listed (mobility of the whole educational process, equal access to educational systems, provision of quality education, formation of structure and realization of educational services). The need to create a single information and educational space for the educational process of student’s training is noted as the article describes its main features. In the context of improving the professional skills of a university teacher, different approaches to the interpretation of the skills of a university teacher are proposed; the research on the system of adult education is closely related. The tasks of the state policy in the field of adult education on the basis of normative-legal documents are listed. The leading factors of formation and improvement of a university teacher’s professional skills (self-motivation, mobility, self-satisfaction and self-encouragement) are singled out; their thorough characteristic is given. Emphasis is placed on the creation of a single digital educational environment of the educational institution. Significant benefits are identified for all participants, including teachers. {"title":"METONYMIC AND METAPHORICAL USE OF PROPER NAMES IN BOOK REVIEWS","authors":"O. The main goal of the article is to analyse the figurative meaning of proper names and identify the contexts in which they are used. Proper names are explored within the framework of cognitive linguistics. Special consideration is given to the role played by metonymy and metaphor in the construction of the figurative meaning of proper names. Proper names have been studied from various aspects in philosophy and linguistics. One of the main issues of linguistic research is the complex structure of the meaning of proper names. In addition to their primary use to refer to the bearer of the name, proper names may acquire a connotative meaning. In book reviews, names of well-known writers are used figuratively to retrieve information associated with the names of original referents about their style of writing. The material consists of proper names collected from British and American newspapers and magazines featuring book reviews. Proper names used in book reviews can be divided into two main groups: writers who belong to the literary canon and popular contemporary writers. It is argued that a few tiers of metonymic models are involved in the construction of the figurative meaning of proper names, followed by the metaphorical transfer which maps a set of properties onto the target domain. Metaphorical and metonymical transfers change the grammatical status of proper names. Such names can be used with articles, can have a plural form and accept different types of restrictive modifiers. Adjectives derived from proper names are used to highlight a particular feature reminiscent of an author’s style. The results show that figuratively used proper names evoke properties associated with an author’s style of writing. Through metonymic and metaphorical transfers salient properties of the names’s referent are extended to other individuals.
