Magnetic Resonance (MR) scanners produce acoustic noise of up to 130 dB (SPL) which is a serious matter of concern both for patients and operators. So, it is necessary to design and implement a method to reduce the noise generated at the time of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). A lot of work has been done to improve the noise cancellation techniques and make them more efficient for using in magnetic resonance environment. This paper gives a glimpse of control systems and algorithms used in Noise cancellation techniques. Finally, we present a short and chronological review of the work that has been done in this field in research and application.","PeriodicalId":442235,"journal":{"name":"2017 Recent Developments in Control, Automation & Power Engineering (RDCAPE)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128353341","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The subject matter of this investigation also deals with the improvement of heat transfer efficiency of the swirl flow obtained by rotating a twisted tape in a circular pipe. The conditions to be fulfilled to observe the impact of Reynolds number and rotational speed of twisted tape are: a uniform temperature on the outer surface of the pipe, the magnitude of velocity of water varying from 0.1 m/s to 0.7 m/s in order to alter Reynolds number and a rotational speed of 200 rpm to 600 rpm. The gyration of twisted tape increase by 17%. It is also observed that heat transfer is exactly proportional to inlet gauge pressure and reciprocally proportional to increase of twist ratio.","PeriodicalId":442235,"journal":{"name":"2017 Recent Developments in Control, Automation & Power Engineering (RDCAPE)","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115760709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To compensate the effect of the fluctuation and random behavior, implementation of electric vehicles EVs is proposed. The large number of EVs introduces instability if the charging and scheduling of electric vehicles are not properly planned. The inclusion of EVs in the power grid can be better analyzed with the help of charging and scheduling techniques. Hence, this paper aims at the review of advantages, disadvantages of electric vehicles along with the concept of different charge scheduling techniques for electric vehicles. Further, data mining techniques are discussed for analyzing and scheduling the charging of electric vehicles.","PeriodicalId":442235,"journal":{"name":"2017 Recent Developments in Control, Automation & Power Engineering (RDCAPE)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115143156","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In dynamic analysis, Application Programming Interface (API) calls made by the executable is a promising source to identify the behavior of an application. The list of API calls made by a process can be considered as a word sequence. This work aims to detect ransomware behavior by employing Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) networks for binary sequence classification of API calls. We present an automated approach to extract API calls from the log of modified sandbox environment and detect ransomware behavior. The design issues are generally formulated as constrained parameters, simulation based and non-linear optimized problem. The performance of the algorithm and simulation has been successfully tested on a single machine infinite bus system (SMIB) as well as on multi machine power system (MMPS). For the multi machine system, simulations are conceded on Kundur's four-machine two-area transmission network. The effectiveness of the optimized controllers is evaluated and then comparing those parameters with BFOA tuned PSS and STATCOM with both SMIB and MMPS system which is applied to several transient disturbances. Finally, simulations are carried out for proving the superiority of the DE algorithm over bacteria foraging optimization algorithm (BFOA).","PeriodicalId":442235,"journal":{"name":"2017 Recent Developments in Control, Automation & Power Engineering (RDCAPE)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124681754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A PV system and Micro-hydro system is connected in parallel with grid system and this is called Hybrid energy system and is interfaced with RLC Load. PV/hydro hybrid system acting as a dominant source power to the community primarily is supplied by this source. The DC bus of the hybrid system is interlinked for cost reduction and lesser complexity of present system as compared to the AC linked hybrid system. Difficulty found in the hybrid system will be compensated by power grid. It will also anticipate the uncertainty of weather and fulfill the power demand during the peak hours. The resistive, resistive-intuctive and inductive(motor), capacitive (if any) load requirements will be fulfilled by the proposed system. Through results it can be demonstrated that electric power can supplied efficiently to theremcte community with proposed system.","PeriodicalId":442235,"journal":{"name":"2017 Recent Developments in Control, Automation & Power Engineering (RDCAPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131140205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
