As it is a survey of the attitudes and preparedness of effective delegation, a quantitative approach is a suitable and explicit strategy to be utilized. Data was collected with a questionnaire in Wapda hospital Lahore (N=154). Participants were 130 RNs. A self-structured questionnaire adopted from the article “Nurse Manager's Attitudes and Preparedness towards Effective Delegation in a Tertiary Care Public Hospital Lahore” with permission of the author developed by Karnested, and Haghighi. It is based on the Likert scale. It was distributed among the sample population. The questionnaire is divided into three sections. Section I; includes the demographics of the managers i.e.: age, marital status, gender, education, nursing experience. Section II; is directed towards assessment of nurse manager’s attitudes consisting of 11 questions. Section III; pertains to the preparedness of nurse managers towards effective delegation and have 20 questions. The data was then analyzed on the software SPSS version 21. \u0000Results: Most participants have a positive attitude towards delegation and identify themselves as prepared to delegate effectively. However, some of the answers indicate potential for improvement. The majority find they spend a large amount of time on jobs others could do and agree to some extent that skills of practical nurses could be better utilized through more effective delegation. \u0000Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: Age, experience, and former education on delegation are significantly related to a number of attitude and preparedness issues regarding confidence in delegating, mutual trust, collaboration, and communication between RNs and assistance personnel. Undoubtedly, the COVID-19 pandemic contributes to unprecedented spread response behavior and emotional distress among people. The introduction of new health protocols has been a key factor in shaping new norm and psychological behavior, emotional response and adjustment. However, new behavior norms meant to curb spread of COVID-19 has not been without uncertainty. Therefore, the study seeks to establish Adults’ response behavior, emotional and psychological adjustment to COVID19 pandemic global health protocols as emphasized by health subsector in Kenya.Methodology: In this cross-sectional study, 251 adults living in Western region of Kenya completed a survey questionnaire to evaluate the response behavior, emotional response and psychosocial adjustment of adults to covid-19 pandemic health protocols in Western region of Kenya. The survey Questionnaires were districted to target adult participants using WhatsApp and e-mail address during the pandemic. Descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, and one-way ANOVA were employed to analyze data.Findings: Three tests were conducted and overall, the findings revealed insignificant difference between categorical variables (gender, level of education and occupation category and dependent variables (response behavior, emotional response and psychosocial adjustment of adults to COVID-19 health protocols. The results revealed statistically insignificant differences between; gender and response behavior (t (249) =.583, p ˃0.05), occupation categories and psychosocial adjustment to COVID-19 pandemic (F (3,247) = .516, p ˃0.05), and level of education and emotional responses to COVID-19 health protocols (F (3, 247) = 1.974, p ˃0.05).Unique Contribution to theory, practice and policy: These findings suggest that response behavior response, emotional response and psychosocial adjustment to COVID-19 health protocols do not differ with categorical variables of the adults. The focus therefore should be to work on response behavior, emotional response and psychosocial adjustment indiscriminately in order to help people adapt to the new behavior and norm to curb spread of COVID-19 pandemic.","PeriodicalId":441176,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Health, Medicine and Nursing Practice","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130075919","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, persistent poor maternal and child health indicators in Kenya even with free MNCH services as evident in Kisumu County portends considerable concern hence the reason for this study. There was need to identify factors or factor combinations that affect MNCH service quality in Kisumu County.Methodology: This was a descriptive analytical study whereby data was collected from a sample of 284 mothers seeking MNCH services in Kisumu tier three public health facilities using structured questionnaires and data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Univariate statistics was used to assess patterns of responses to the client satisfaction questionnaire items. Bivariate logistic regression was used to assess association between client satisfaction and dimensions of their characteristics; p-values of less than 0.05 were considered significant.Results: Mothers aged 30-39 years were more likely to report being satisfied with maternal, newborn and child health services as compared to those aged 15-19 years (aOR=0.52, 95%CI=0.28-0.96, p-Value=0.035). The clients who had 1 pregnancy (aOR=2.29, 95%CI=1.04-5.05, p-value=0.040) and 2 pregnancies (aOR=3.22, 95%CI=1.54-6.70, p-Value=0.002) were more likely to report being satisfied with maternal child health services in public health facilities. Similarly, there was significant increased odds of being satisfied among those who resided in rural areas (aOR=2.24, 95%CI=1.05-4.79, p-Value=0.037), those who use vehicles as means of transport (aOR=6.87, 95%CI=1.38-34.28, p-Value=0.019) and those who use motorbike as means of transport (aOR=7.79, 95%CI=1.61-37.77, p-Value=0.011) and maternal child health services satisfaction.Unique contribution to practice and policy: The feedback from this study can be used by national and county governments, state agencies and other health stakeholders in designing communication and advocacy strategies for targeted groups or populations both at the community and health facilities to increase access and acceptability of MNCH services.","PeriodicalId":441176,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Health, Medicine and Nursing Practice","volume":"299302 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116580497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
