In these CES a fault in the sensors or actuators can trigger the incidence of catastrophic events. Sensor / actuator faults detection is difficult and impacts critically the system performance. Subsystem or Embedded Processing Component (EPC), integration testing with sensor or actuator is required to assure that the ‘Subsystem under test (SUT)’ meets the specifications. Several researchers have addressed software integration issues only; however sensors /actuators integration issues were not addressed adequately. This paper focuses on the integration testing of sensors / actuators in ES. The sensor integration with EPC is viewed as identification of faulty communication channel within SUT. The Sensor and EPC models are developed based on and are modified for incorporating faults in the communication channel between them. A faulty communication channel is modelled by a “faulty process Ψ” that changes the operations or possibly modifies events between the fault-free processes, while the components are assumed to be fault free. The functional tests are important in verifying system and their reuse in integration testing correctly identifies the known and tested system requirements. Comparing the observed output in the communication channel with expected response identifies the fault(s) in the channel and provides integration test verdict: pass or fail. There are number of analysis techniques originated from other domains like social science and psychology, available to analyse the qualitative dataset gathered during field studies. Human Computer Interaction researchers have tried and using some or combination of those techniques. Since these techniques have evolved basically in academia research, it offers a rigorous process and needs certain level of expertise in using them. In industrial software user experience research, where research projects are very much applied in nature and having shorter project life cycle, often putting difficulties before the practitioners in using that rigorous analysis process. This paper presents an innovative, simple to use and systematic way of analyzing qualitative data set in shorter period of time. A seven-level cascaded H-bridge inverter employing phase-shifted multi-carrier pulse width modulation is implemented using LabVIEW FPGA. The output of the synchronous generator with fixed excitation, emulating a PMSG is connected to a three phase diode bridge rectifier. The DC output of the rectifier is then connected to the proposed topology of three H-bridges using IGBT based intelligent power modules (IPM) thus forming a single phase CHBMLI in the laboratory to obtain the experimental results. The DSTATCOM is used to control the voltage of the bus to which it is connected to a balance sinusoid in respect of the harmonic distortions in supply or load side of the three-phase system. A variable speed wind turbine generator is used to produce a variable DC voltage which is placed as input voltage source to the converter of the DSTATCOM. Easily implemented sliding surface provide prominent dynamic performance against changes in the load and in the input dc voltage due to wind variations. A control strategy for grid voltage control has been implemented in respect of the wind variations. In this paper, we present a novel high-throughput MAC protocol, called Multiple Beam Antenna Array MAC (MBAA-MAC), which supports concurrent transmission while having simple design, single transmission power network architecture and single transceiver. MBAA-MAC uses benefits of the directional antennas to improve the throughput of the network. Prior to data packet transmission, direction and location of the neighboring nodes is performed through RTS/CTS exchange. In this protocol, additional control gap is inserted between RTS/CTS and DATA packets, which allow exchange of a series of RTS/CTS packets of neighboring nodes to schedule their possible concurrent data transmissions. This paper attempts to design an improved proportional-integralproportional-derivative (PI-PD) controller as an active queue manager for TCP routers. The proposed controller scheme controls present congestion reactively and also avoids the incipient congestion proactively. Fast response to the changing traffic is achieved by PD as it maintains the target queue length, high link utilization and low packet loss. The novel compensation control strategy is based on positive sequence voltage detector with generalized Fryze currents minimization, an approach different from conventional methods; the purpose is to guarantee linearity between the supply voltage and the compensated current. The shunt APLC system is implemented with current controlled Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) and is connected to the distribution network for canceling current harmonics. The reference currents are extracted using the Fryze Current Minimization (FCM) algorithm and VSI switching signals are derived from hysteresis current controller (HCC). This method maintains the capacitance voltage of the inverter constant without any additional control circuit. PMSM drives are the upcoming parts in the field of Hybrid Electric Vehicles, etc., Many methods are available for the tuning of PID controllers. In this paper an online tuning of PID controllers using Zeigler-Nichol's method for PMSM drives is presented to improve the transient response of the drive. A conventional PID controller is also used to control the machine. These two methods are compared with respect to their transient response, i.e., with respect to their settling times. It is found that the Zeigler-Nichol's method gives much improved transient response than the other. The transfer function of the PMSM is obtained from its state model defined in d-q-o model which is made use in the simulation. The proposed approach is based on cascading fast Gate Diffusion Input (GDI) Full Adders interrupted by static gate having driving capability, such as inverter, thus exploiting the intrinsic low power consumption of such topologies. The results obtained show that the proposed mixed-topology approach based on GDI adders is capable of very low-power consumption and a very high-speed. This also enables a high degree of design freedom, given that the same (mixed) topology can be used for a wide range of applications. This greater flexibility also affords a significant reduction in the design effort. Delay and power has been evaluated by HSPICE simulation using TSMC 0.18µm CMOS technology considering minimum power design.
