Abstract

Active Queue Management (AQM) plays a very important role in congestion control of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networks. This paper attempts to design an improved proportional-integralproportional-derivative (PI-PD) controller as an active queue manager for TCP routers.
