In response to this phenomenon, this article attempts to combine middle school education with games and education. Under the guidance of the maker education concept, the article integrates game mechanics, game elements and design concepts into the design of the Happy Tour China game. First, it expounds the relevant meanings of distance education, gamified learning and maker education, and refines the four key factors of game protagonist, game story, game mechanism and game feedback that should be paid attention to in educational game design. Then, from the junior high school geography course materials, map terrain, natural environment, human environment and scenic spots were selected as learning content. Finally, from the perspective of situational cognition theory, experiential learning theory and generative learning theory, the educational games of Puzzle, Find Differences and Happy Play are designed to provide decision-making reference for middle school students' education.","PeriodicalId":438151,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122011698","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More and more colleges and universities start to develop MOOC courses. The curriculum resources and teaching forms of online courses are very different from the traditional offline courses. In the ever-changing tide of MOOC, it is necessary to explore new ways of course construction and build the resources ecosystem of a MOOC course. During the construction of the quality courses or boutique resource sharing courses, there has more or less the phenomenon of \"Emphasis on Evaluation but Neglect of Use\", which is easy to produce static resources that are not put into use. In recent years, teaching activities make resources become active and become part of the MOOC curriculum. Exploring the construction mode with the goal of making MOOC resources into use can help to form the MOOC ecosystem which is active and grown-up. Taking the construction of Computer Networks course as an example, this paper puts forward a three-level taxonomy to construct the MOOCs ecological resources system, which can be put into use by designing teaching activities for the society and campus students. The practice shows that this way of MOOC construction makes the course alive.","PeriodicalId":438151,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115681464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this project is to know the levels of acceptance or rejection of this subject that has very peculiar characteristics. The methodology was mixed; the quantitative section was done with an instrument which is answered by the students and it measures the levels of satisfaction towards the course and the teacher. In the qualitative study, in-depth interviews were conducted with the students, and they were asked to write a little (1 page) essay in which they expressed their ideas about the course. As a result, the acceptance rate towards this course has increased over time, and the correct use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), influences the alumni to accept this kind of modalities in the learning process.","PeriodicalId":438151,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129260636","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The common appraisal methods of graduation requirements achievements (GRAs) focus on the whole situation of graduates, which lacks personalized guidance for students at school. Based on the analytical method of exam scores in the common methods, the paper presents the achievement of individual graduation requirements and designs algorithms to dynamically appraise every student with real examples, which may provide detailed data and immediate guidance for the major and its own students. The dynamic appraisal method can improve the GRAs of the major, and also can strengthen the core concepts of engineering education accreditation.","PeriodicalId":438151,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116776487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

University student's satisfaction with MOOC is an important variable in MOOC investigation. To help people better conceptualize and quantify the learner's satisfaction with MOOC, this study developed and validated a MOOC Satisfaction Scale (MSS) for measuring university student's satisfaction with MOOC. The initial version of MSS was constructed with 40 items. Based on a survey of 152 university students, the initial version was modified by item analysis and exploratory factor analysis. The final version of MSS consists of 28 items in five components. The components are: content and instruction; teacher-student interaction; assessment and examination; platforms and resources; and student learning. In this paper, the development of the MSS is described. The significance and limitations of the MSS is also discussed.","PeriodicalId":438151,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning","volume":"172 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131176040","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
