It is shown that the number of close presidential elections is sufficiently numerous to fulfil regression discontinuity demands. Furthermore, a robustness checks reveals that the sample indeed behaves quasi-experimentally, as the assignment of electoral outcomes is independent of pre-election characteristics. Using this sample, researchers can estimate the causal effect of leadership changes on the substantive outcome of interest---for instance, sovereign debt defaults---without worrying too much for selection effects or omitted variable biases. The study contributes to the modelling of e-Democracy processes, including the elections, the mechanisms and their significance.","PeriodicalId":438151,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134106367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The cultivation of system-oriented capabilities is not only an urgent need for social development, but also a demand for computer courses in colleges and universities. The computer system's ability development enables students to be in an advantageous position in social competition. At present, the computer curriculum system lacks the connection between the courses. The teaching content lacks engineering approaches. The teaching method lacks comprehensive teaching. Based on this problem, this paper proposes a method for building a computer system capability hardware course group based on OBE. This method carries out teaching reform from three aspects: teaching content, teaching method and teaching effect evaluation.","PeriodicalId":438151,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130615335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through ethnographic research among the government, local residents, and tourists, the paper indicates how the government and the staff in \"Jiuli City\" construct authenticity, through acts such as tourist guides telling standard stories and performing as traditional Miao residents. Furthermore, the paper also discusses how intangible heritage is being preserved and remembered through the story of a traditional papermaking master. Finally, the paper discusses the attitude towards authenticity of the tourists. In doing so, the paper discusses the differences between objective, constructive and performative authenticity of heritage, positing the latter as being most appropriate to \"Jiuli City\".","PeriodicalId":438151,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133600522","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this study constructed a new form textbook satisfaction model from the perspective of students by referring to the core concept of ACSI. The results showed that the perceived quality of platform, resource, knowledge form and discussion area were positively correlated with satisfaction, perceived value and loyalty (P < 0.05), the standardized path coefficients of perceived quality and perceived value to satisfaction were 0.219, 0.597 respectively, and the standardized path coefficient of satisfaction to loyalty was 0.884, which was statistically significant and the model fitted well. According to the fitting results of the model, the optimization suggestions for the four influencing factors were put forward, which can provide reference for the evaluation and optimization of new form teaching textbook.","PeriodicalId":438151,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122560199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study took place inside two online education field courses and was framed into a mixed methods approach with self-developed questionnaires (pretestposttest) about conceptual evolution. Seeking to improving conceptual evolution, an online workshop based on the consolidated standards required to develop meta-literacy skills in higher education students was developed and students were invited to join voluntarily. The final sample was composed by 61 students from different Latinamerican countries. Findings demonstrated the relevance and favorable impact of having an embedded librarian in regular courses improving both aspects: metaliteracy skills development and conceptual evolution. It was also remarkable the importance of having a good sense of community and teamwork between teachers and librarians in order to succeed in this kind of strategies.","PeriodicalId":438151,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116890145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
