ZnO thin films are fabricated using the sol-gel method. The doping with platinum is performed by RF Sputtering method. The present study suggests the use of a coplanar microheater with IDE's fabricated for the ethanol sensor. Further, the effect of doping on sensing properties of the sensor has been studied. The sensing response of the sensor with the film thickness of 430 nm at an operating temperature of 180°C comes out to be 110. The prime aim of the study is to present a highly sensitive ethanol sensor having a coplanar architecture of microheater with IDE's in a ZnO based sensor.","PeriodicalId":436902,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Computing and Communication Technologies (ICETCCT)","volume":"230 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134254477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Solar Photovoltaic systems (SPVS) have emerged as the most appropriate solution for electricity generation in rapidly developing market of Renewable Energy Technology. The efficiency of SPVS is improved by Maximum Power Pont tracking. In the present work, an effort has been made to develop an efficient PV MPPT system using hybrid fuzzy technique to extract maximum power under multivariable environment (changing temperature and irradiance). This system optimizes the MPPT working performance when compared with previously used single variable approach. The developed model is validated with commercially available Solarex MSX-60W panel in MATLAB-Simulink. The voltage stabilization is achieved for buck converter and is monitored precisely using hybrid fuzzy controller (PD+I FLC). The system response can be improved under varying temperature and irradiance conditions by tuning the scaling gains (GU, GE, GCE and GIE). The tuning of gains helps to achieve improved performance under varying temperature and irradiance conditions. In the present work a comparison is done between the single variable model and multivariable model and it was found that by doing proper tuning the converter output voltage can be achieved closer to desired set point for the developed model.","PeriodicalId":436902,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Computing and Communication Technologies (ICETCCT)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115011438","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its correct diagnosis allows to decide the right medical treatment and, therefore, it is essential to tell it apart adequately from ventricular tachycardia (VT) and other arrhythmias. If the required therapy is not appropriate, the personnel could cause serious injuries or even induce VF. In this work, a diagnosis automatic system for the detection of VF through feature extraction was developed. To verify the validity of this method, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) classifier was used. The ECG signals used were obtained from the MIT-BIH Malignant Ventricular Arrhythmia Database and AHA (2000 series) database. Different filtering techniques to remove base line wandering and other noise in the signal is applied before extracting features. Two different classifiers are proposed: two-class (Normal-Abnormal) rhythms, and four-classes (Normal-VT-VF-Other). For the four class classifier and the most difficult separation classes (VF and VT), the classification results shows sensitivity and specificity values of 91,82% and 99,74%, respectively, for VF, and 67,33% and 99,76% values of sensitivity and specificity for VT.","PeriodicalId":436902,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Computing and Communication Technologies (ICETCCT)","volume":"94 45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129110246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Soil, crop and meteorological parameters, local topography and land use land cover are the major factors which affect soil moisture locally and globally. A comprehensive understanding of the interrelationship between these factors and in conjunction with soil moisture conveys information, not only for agricultural applications as well as for meteorological processes. Active (ASCAT) and passive (AMSR-E) microwave remote sensing soil moisture data is used to derive a harmonised soil moisture product using an approach based on cumulative distribution frequency (CDF) matching. This technique couples the two datasets with accordance to a reference dataset. This technique is well suitable for time series analysis of data. Trend analysis is further performed to study the influence of various factors over soil moisture at different geographical locations. In this study, for the investigations on soil moisture assessment, the year 2009 is selected. Evaluation of the harmonised soil moisture product is done with available ground data to obtain the coefficient of determination as 0.64 and root mean square error (RMSE) of 0.142, which is much acceptable.","PeriodicalId":436902,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Computing and Communication Technologies (ICETCCT)","volume":"109 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124721841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
