The tradition of teaching English has improved dramatically with the inclusion of various types of advanced technology. Technology provides numerous choices such as making teaching interesting and more productive. Technology is one of the most influential boosters of social and language change. Since the use of English has progressed in popularity, the demand for qualified teachers to teach English is unquestionably required. It is true that there are teachers who use 'sophisticated' technology, although most of them still teach in the traditional way. None of these traditional behaviors is bad or damaging to students. In fact, until now they proved it useful too. However, there are various opportunities for students to gain self-confidence to practice and expand themselves, particularly for those who are learning English as a foreign language that learns the language for more than just having fun. Tujuan penulisan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah model Direct Instruction dengan metode Demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Metode pengumpulan datanya adalah tes prestasi belajar. Metode analisis datanya adalah deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah model Direct Instruction dengan metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Ini terbukti dari hasil yang diperoleh 63,43 pada pada awalnya setelah diberikan tindakan pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 68,14 dan pada siklus II meningkat lagi menjadi 76,09. They feel that the environment in which their children are growing is no longer conducive. Furthermore, parents are convinced that most children today need appropriate help and treatment. There are three trends of parenting applied by parents to their children, namely: authoritarian, permissive and democratic parenting. These three patterns are influenced by the factors of maturity, education and diversity of parents. Caregiving cannot be separated from the understanding that every child experiences a sensorimotor, pre-operational, concrete operational and formal operational phase throughout their lifetime. This work describes descriptively about parenting as taught and inspired by Maharsi Chanakya in his work Niti Sastra. He said that it is better to have one suputra child, than one hundred kuputra children, and a suputra child who brings glory to his family. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 54 orang dibagi menjadi kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen dengan teknik random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan ANAVA dua jalur. Data pemahaman konsep dan pengetahuan awal siswa dikumpulkan melalui tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keluarga adalah faktor penting dalam pendidikan seorang anak. Karakter seorang anak berasal dari keluarga. Dimana, sebagian besar anak-anak sampai usia 18 tahun menghabiskan waktunya 60-80 % bersama keluarga. Sampai usia 18 tahun, mereka masih membutuhkan orangtua dan kehangatan dalam keluarga. Dari sini, sudah sepatutnya pendidikan karakter dimulai dari dalam keluarga, yang merupakan lingkungan pertama bagi pertumbuhan karakter anak. Setelah keluarga, di dunia pendidikan karakter ini sudah harus menjadi ajaran wajib sejak sekolah dasar. Anak SD masih dalam tahap perkembangan operasional konkret. Tahap dimana mulai berkembangnya kecerdasan mereka untuk berpikir logis dan sistematis. Dalam Permainan dolanan ada banyak nilai yang dapat dipelajari. Selain itu permainan dolanan ini juga dapat diadopsikan ke dalam sistim pembelajaran yang berbasis budaya, khususnya dalam pembelajaran bahasa Bali. Dari latar belakang tersebut ada beberapa permasalahan yaitu keberadaan Dolanan di era globalisasi dan peran Dolanan sebagai media pendidikan karakter. Dolanan anak tradisional yang hampir punah diperlukan upaya revitalisasi untuk melestarikan berbagai dolanan anak tersebut , seperti pengenalan ulang berbagai jenis dolanan di sekolah melalui media yang menarik. Selain dengan cara itu festival atau lomba dolanan juga perlu diadakan untuk melestarikan dolanan tradisional. Selain untuk melestarikan budaya dolanan tradisional festival atau lomba dolanan tradisional juga bisa. Hilangnya dolanan anak tradisional akan membawa berbagai dampak, terutama terhadap unsur budaya lokal yang sudah ada terlebih dahulu. Dalam hal ini salah satu upaya nyata untuk dapat melestarikan permainan dolanan ini adalah melalui sanggar – sanggar seni. Keberadaan Sanggar Seni Dolanan Anak saat ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat untuk melestarikan dan mengembangkan dolanan anak tradisional. Dolanan ini bisa dikategorikan dalam tiga golongan, yaitu : permainan untuk bermain (rekreatif), permainan untuk bertanding (kompetitif) dan permainan yang bersifat edukatif. Permainan tradisional yang bersifat rekreatif pada umumnya dilakukan untuk mengisi waktu luang. Permainan tradisional yang bersifat kompetitif, memiliki ciri-ciri : terorganisir, bersifat kompetitif, diainkan oleh paling sedikit 2 orang, mempunyai criteria yang menentukan siapa yang menang dan yang kalah, serta mempunyai peraturan yang diterima bersama oleh pesertanya. Sedangkan perainan tradisional yag bersifat edukatif, terdapat unsur-unsur pendidikan di dalamnya. Melalui permainan seperti ini anak-anak diperkenalkan dengan berbagai macam ketrampilan dan kecakapan yang nantinya akan mereka perlukan dalam menghadapi kehidupan sebagai anggota masyarakat. Berbagai jenis dan bentuk permainan pasti terkandung unsur pendidikannya. Inilah salah satu bentuk pendidikan yang bersifat non-formal di dalam masyarakat.
