At the level of the school, teachers as an executor of a policy use various strategies to improve reading comprehension of their students. One of the strategies used is reading aloud strategy. The implementation of reading aloud strategy in schools is often misunderstood, so it requires a clearer understanding of what it is reading aloud strategy and how its implementation. Reading aloud strategy is not just a way to teach reading but also a way to build a love of reading value. Juvenile delinquency, school dropouts, vandalism, mental stress, suicide, the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy out of wedlock, and criminal cases are some examples of problems that are generally colored the news in Indonesian media. Moral degradation is no longer involved adults only, but has penetrated the world of children and adolescents. This sparked the emergence of moral development are summarized in the strategic topic called character education.In fact, schools perform non optimal roles in developing character education because of some limitations. Actually, the integrated program with the family’s values will support the school performance. Based on these issues, it is referred a creative idea which is titled: \"Bedtime Schooling: Folk Stories Submission as Model-Based Character Education Local Wisdom\". This notion is a program: (1) supplement for character education in schools, and (2) complement the character education at home. The five values are universal values for the entire life. The values can be integrated in learning, either implicitly contained in teaching materials, as well as integrated in the learning activities. Humanity Values that are integrated in the teaching materials can be either matter or the story of a lesson or group lesson are packed in thematic learning. While the integration of Humanity Values in learning activities can be either a game or other learning activities that are full of Values of Humanity or national character values that are taught in elementary school. This study aimed to integrate Education Values of Humanity Values into civics learning in elementary schools. The study design is explorative research with data sources gained from documents such as books and the opinion of experts on educational values of humanity, character education content standards in 2006 content standard. The instrument used to collect data is documentation. For this reason, an effort is needed in order to improve the quality of education and teaching, one of which is to choose a strategy or method for delivering learning material so that students can improve their learning achievement. Literature study was conducted to find information about learning, especially the cooperative learning model type Group Investigation (GI). So that by applying the GI cooperative model can improve learning outcomes and student learning motivation. Learning outcomes are what is achieved by students by involving all the potential they have after the students carry out learning activities. Achievement of these learning outcomes can be known by holding an assessment of learning outcomes tests. Motivation to learn means a tendency and high enthusiasm or a great desire for learning. Cooperative learning is a model of teaching where students learn in small groups and have different abilities. Group type Investigation (GI) learning is the most complex learning model. The core steps of the Investigastion Group's learning model are as follows. (1). The teacher forms groups and calls each group leader to receive assignments / material. (2). Each group leader returns to his group and then discusses in depth the tasks that are obtained with the group members. (3). After being considered enough time for group discussion, each group represented by the spokesperson delivered the results of the group discussion that was listened to by all students. (4). The results of the discussion were read by each group alternately by each group until all groups had their turn to deliver the results of the discussion. The application of cooperative learning model group investigation type can be used as one of the learning models in an effort to improve learning outcomes and student motivation in the learning process. Character education in elementary school is an effort to build character of elementary school student. There is a shift in values regarding norms of decency, ethics and morality. Moral degradation can be regarded as an indicator of the weak understanding of religious values. In Hindu Literature, especially in Itihasa, in which there is a Ramayana story, this story is full of character values. Weak understanding of religious values can be regarded as an indicator of moral degradation. A civilization would want more improvement in regards to morality. In relation to the moral degradation of the nation's generation the government and society want children to have 18 national characteristics being; believe in religion, honesty, tolerance, fair for all, discipline, hardworking, creative, independent, democratic, curios to learn, national pride, communicative, peace-loving, avid readers, caring about the environment, social care, and responsibility. Building character using education for children is one way to make civilization better. Juniantari","doi":"10.25078/aw.v4i1.926","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.25078/aw.v4i1.926","url":null,"abstract":"      Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas I Semester I SD Negeri 4 Pertima Tahun Pembelajaran 2017/2018 melalui implementasi model pembelajaran Make a Match. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dilakukan penelitian tindakan  pada siswa kelas I SD Negeri 4 Pertima Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 pada semester ganjil yang berjumlah 18 orang siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran make a match. Obyek  penelitian berupa minat dan hasil belajar siswa. Untuk mengukur minat belajar siswa digunakan pedoman obsevasi. Untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa digunakan tes hasil belajar. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa: 1) Penerapan model pembelajaran make a match sebagai alternatif menciptakan pembelajaran menyenangkan dapat meningkatkan minat belajar matematika siswa kelas I SD Negeri 4 Pertima Tahun Pembelajaran 2017/2018. Rata-rata minat belajar siswa siswa meningkat dari 68,49 pada siklus I dengan kategori sedang menjadi 79,13 pada siklus II dengan kategori tinggi. Hal ini mengindikasikan terjadi peningkatan minat belajar siswa sebesar 15,5%. 2) Penerapan model pembelajaran make a match sebagai alternatif menciptakan pembelajaran menyenangkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas I SD Negeri 4 Pertima Tahun Pemblajaran 2017/2018. Rata-rata hasil belajar Matematika siswa 69,4 dengan ketuntaan klasikal 78%, pada siklus II diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 88,9 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 100%, hal ini mengindikasikan terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar Matematika sebesar 28%.       Hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran akan lebih baik apabila sebelum melakukan proses belajar mempersiapkan perangkat pembelajaran yang dibutuhkan dengan matang dan terencana terlebih dahulu agar mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang diinginkan. Dalam melakukan proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan, sesederhana apapun hendaknya guru dalam mengajar mengupayakan menggunakan media pembelajaran, guna menarik perhatian siswa dalam belajar.
