The objective is to re-examine the beauty of the women in these pictures and to provide innovative ideas and aesthetic directions for the creation of new female-themed New Year’s pictures in the future. Among those with the theme of family life, the number of works focusing on women is significantly greater than that of men, which indicates that women played very important roles in family life. However, the essential connotation of the New Year’s paintings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties can be seen as a microcosm of the real life of women in an authoritarian society. They are often situated in a position of being bound and oppressed, with their behaviors strictly restricted behind the scenes, filled with happiness and richness; thus, their human nature of human being weakened and imprisoned. Many paintings depict women educating their children or doing housework to strengthen the quality of ancient women's hard work and responsibility while they had almost little right in political life. Although there are also powerful female characters in the New Year’s pictures, such characters only exist in fictional myths and historical stories, having nothing to do with real life, which was more like spiritual hypnosis for ancient females. Therefore, the author believes that in the process of the inheritance and development of New Year’s pictures, Instead of the ancient aesthetic orientation, it is crucial to create content from a perspective of humanity. The core issue of activating farmers' subjectivity is to achieve empowerment through institutional and institutional changes. To understand the mechanism of activating farmers' subjectivity through industrial development in the context of rural revitalization, the study takes the perspective of interest traction and the main line of empowerment, focusing on the two-way interaction between industrial development and farmers' participation, and constructs an analytical framework of traction-based governance based on “fit and participation”. Taking Pingluo County and Xinjiang Aznai Bazaar as case studies, the key to activating farmers' subjectivity through industrial development lies in the construction of a mechanism for linkage, participation, win-win and cultivation of traction-based governance. The ideal type of traction-based governance requires the effective integration of the logic of the local community, the logic of interests and the logic of institutions, the embedding and integration of industries, the strengthening of farmers' organisation and participation, and the implementation of multi-party cooperation and win-win situation. The strategy of revitalising the countryside is of overall and historical significance to the comprehensive construction of a socialist modern country and the achievement of the twenty-one-century goal. Modernization of agriculture and rural areas refers to agriculture based on modern science, relying on social and economic development and scientific and technological progress, and using modern science, technology and equipment for modern production. The revitalisation of the countryside and the modernisation of agriculture and rural areas dovetail with each other, and the two are inseparable and have an interconnected and mutually reinforcing relationship. The strategy of revitalising the countryside provides new development opportunities for the modernisation of agriculture and rural areas in the new era. At the same time, only when the development of agriculture and rural areas is modernized can the endogenous impetus for rural revitalization be truly stimulated, and only when urban and rural areas achieve genuine organic interaction can the whole rural society be revitalized in a lasting manner. {"title":"Overlapping Sociolinguistic Underpinnings with Semantic Aspects of Cross-cultural Communication in African Drama Texts Translation","authors":"Tangyie Evani","doi":"10.32996/jhsss.2023.5.4.8","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32996/jhsss.2023.5.4.8","url":null,"abstract":"Analyzing semantic aspects of cross-cultural communication in drama texts translation within the African socio-cultural perspective constitutes a major challenge in the field of sociolinguistics, especially in this era of globalization influenced by aided technology, linguistic diffusion, and socio-cultural identity adulteration. Within this perspective, it is obliging for translation problems to constitute the core of communication across cultures, especially African cultures that are still considered rudimentary. The fact that many African languages do not exist in written forms constitutes a limitation to the effective transference of mother tongue socio-cultural linguistic nuances to learned official languages entangled with sociocultural context meanings of actions, thoughts and feelings as lived and experienced within the immediate or larger linguistic community. Present trends on effective drama text translation – (delocalization, polarization between performability and readability) are in favor of reviewing social structures as meaning oriented, while observed behavior is now equally being recognized as a manifestation of a deeper set of codes and rules. From this, the task of the translator is seen more as that of unraveling contextually appropriate communication within cultural frames than just a lexicosemantic restitution of texts. This study sets out to examine the convergent stances in sociology and linguistics and to postulate that the language used in a social context raises serious questions about language and communication in heterogeneous speech communities. The paper further argues that analyzing semantic aspects of cross-cultural communication in drama texts translation within the African socio-cultural perspective constitutes a major challenge in communicating across cultures since translators must sort to establish the highest possible degree of semantic agreement and intelligibility. For this evaluation, using theoretical studies, 32 types of municipal services in three sections public services, infrastructure, and culture were selected. In the next step, a research questionnaire was designed based on these services. Then 415 questionnaires were distributed among the citizens of the study city. In the next step, 395 complete and error-free questionnaires were collected and entered into SPSS software. Finally, the research results were analyzed using a one-sample t-test. The results showed that the average satisfaction of citizens with the quality of public services in Pul-e-Khumri was equal to 2.34. The average satisfaction with the quality of infrastructure services in Pul-e-Khumri is equal to 2.05, and also the average satisfaction with the quality of cultural services in Pul-e-Khumri is equal to 2.02. It can be said that the level of citizens' satisfaction in the three sectors of services mentioned is below the average level (3). The results of statistical analysis showed that concerning all municipal services, the results have a significant level of less than 0.05. Citizens' satisfaction with municipal services is below average because the average difference between all municipal services with the test statistic is calculated negatively and is lower than the average (3). The decision to use an anthropomorphic protagonist in the narrative is crucial and loaded with symbolism. It can be interpreted as an account of workplace abuse, racism and discrimination or as a story about identity conflict, with the monkey body representing otherness. The paper illuminates the connection between identity crisis and alienation as it is portrayed in \"Confessions of a Shinagawa Monkey\". In the event that Shinagawa Monkey feels rejected and alienated, this is when alienation occurs. The analysis is conducted within the scope of Postcolonialism and Marxism. The paper is significant as it is the first to explore such topics in Murakami's “Confessions of a Shinagawa Monkey.” This paper's goal is to alter society's behavior to lessen discrimination that is currently on the rise. This paper embraces three main themes that appear in \"Confessions of a Shinagawa Monkey\" (2020). The themes concern the biased attitudes towards different races, the theme of identity conflict, and alienation. The article first explains the problems related to international technology trade and commission fees and then analyzes the current taxation status of international technology trade commission fees, mainly studying some problems of the taxation systems of countries around the world and the repeated collection patterns of developed countries for technology trade commission fees. The research design used was descriptive-assessment, which utilized a questionnaire to gather data on the teachers' profile and research productivity status. Statistical tools were applied to analyze and interpret the data. The study revealed that the public secondary school teachers in the Schools Division of Calbayog City were mostly middle-aged, female, married, and had a master's degree. They had been teaching for less than ten years, mostly handling MAKABAYAN subjects, attended only 4 to 5 days of training, and had a mean research involvement of 0.54 year. The research productivity of the respondents was found to be low, indicating minimal involvement in research activities. The study also found that research productivity was dependent on the teachers' sex, length of teaching experience, and number of relevant training attended. This study focuses on Indonesia and Bojonegoro Regency as the main unit of analysis. Using the method of historical sociology, this article argues that the institutional capacity of the state in the governance of extractive resources, particularly oil, depends on the extent to which the mechanisms of autonomy and distribution of state power are reorganized to achieve developmental transformation. The combination of historical evidence not only adds to the theoretical understanding of state social power but also contributes to development theory by adding a historical dimension. As a country with abundant natural resources, Indonesia has faced challenges in the governance of extractive resources since colonial times. The abundance of natural resources is not always linear with development outcomes in each period of governance. Indonesia has seventeen oil and gas-producing provinces. However, the resource curse still applies in eight provinces where the number of poor people is higher than the national average. The governance of Indonesia's extractive industries is no longer monopolized by the national government but involves subnational governments. Politically, many local governments have complained that the process of calculating, distributing and reporting oil and gas revenue-sharing funds often creates tensions between central and local governments. Synergies between the state and civil society in the governance of extractive resources are needed to accelerate development transformation. Therefore, the present study assesses the Elements of national unity in the context of Afghanistan's contemporary history subject. However, this subject plays a pale role in cohesion and solidarity. The research used both qualitative and quantitative methods. The data for this study was collected through an appropriate questionnaire. The population of this study included all Samangan university students of education faculty and agriculture faculty. From 2150 students in education and agriculture faculties, 345 were selected and studied using multistage cluster random sampling. The research measurement tools included a researcher-made questionnaire with 21 questions Likert scale, and Cronbach's alpha was 0.825. In addition, the researcher-made questionnaire was based on the results of the data analysis. The findings show that the contents of contemporary Afghan history subject are written with a political and military approach and have no effect on enhancing the students' national unity.
