A literature review of various works involving NGOs, governmental agencies, field reports and the United Nations will provide a contextual framework, in addition to statistical data used within a cross-regime analysis during Iraq’s “transition-to-democracy”. This article will contribute to a greater understanding of the moral imperative of human rights protection during phases of post-occupation national reconstruction.","PeriodicalId":429857,"journal":{"name":"Studies in Sociology of Science","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116933290","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By making comparable texts out of the four versions of translation, the author established a small specialized comparable corpus. And a quantitative study was carried out based on comparison and analysis of comparable texts. The study reveals the differences between Chinese translators and their English counterparts in terms of words and sentence pattern. Possible reasons for the differences are put forward for discussion and criticism in the future.","PeriodicalId":429857,"journal":{"name":"Studies in Sociology of Science","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124976359","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
