Flexibility is the effectiveness of a person in adjusting himself to do all the activities of the body with stretching as broad as possible especially the muscles, and ligaments around the joints. Research objectives: 1) Determine the effect of Pilates gymnastics and Zumba gymnastics methods on reducing body fat of Arimbi gymnastics members 2) Knowing the effect of reducing body fat between high flexibility and low flexibility of Arimbi gymnastics members. 3) Determine the effect of the interaction between gymnastic methods and flexibility on reducing body fat of Arimbi gymnastics studio members. The method used in this study was an experimental method with a 2 x 2 factorial design. The population in this study was members of Arimbi gymnastics studios totaling 50 people. Sample consists of 40 people. The study was conducted by the experimental method. Based on the calculated Q count data is greater than Q table (Q count> Q table) at a significant level α = 0.05 so that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis is accepted (H1), that members with high flexibility are trained by the Zumba gymnastics method (= 5.51 and s = 0.11) higher than Pilates Gymnastics (=","PeriodicalId":428575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Science and Education and Technology (ISET 2019)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129451599","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data of this research were obtained from observation checklist and interview with the teachers. There were several strategies used by formal and informal English teachers. Teachers in formal course used memorizing in teaching vocabulary; meanwhile one of the teachers in informal course used vocabulary self-collection and another teacher used the same way as two teachers in formal course. Therefore, teachers must be more creative in improving the strategy in teaching vocabulary.","PeriodicalId":428575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Science and Education and Technology (ISET 2019)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133995610","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research is quasi experiment with one group pretest and posttest design. Based on the objective of the research, the instrument used was achievement test. The test consists of 5 items for speaking and 5 items for writing which were colorful with 16 font size in order to be interesting and readable for the special students.The participants involved in this study were 9 students with an intellectual disability of the eighth grade secondary Special School with 50-65 IQ. The results of this study revealed that there is statistically significant different between the students with an intellectual disability’ basic English communication ability before and after being taught by using picture mnemonics. It can be seen from the results of Wilcoxon test that indicates that the p-value is 0.007. Because the p-value is lower than the significance value (α) 0.05,, that is the p-the p-value is 0.007 which is lower than the significance value (α) 0.05. Considering the benefits of that picture mnemonics which can help students with an intellectual disability remember better it is suggested that this mnemonics should be used by the teacher when teaching English, especially for special students.","PeriodicalId":428575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Science and Education and Technology (ISET 2019)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126115061","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This encourages individuals and various social institutions to move to adjust to change. Education is one sector that needs to be improved quickly in order to be able to adapt to the needs and challenges of the present and the future. Teachers play a major role in realizing quality education. The quality of a teacher can make a difference in learning in one full year (Goldhaber & Anthony, 2004). Therefore, supervision and control of teacher quality becomes an important issue. Supervision has an important role in improving and controlling teacher quality. Referring to the opinion of Crane et al. (2010) which emphasizes supervision as an integral part of the learning process to continue the professional development of teachers. Supervision that tends to be bureaucratic, autocratic, and hierarchical is no longer relevant in improving teacher quality in the current era of disruption. The relevant supervision model is based on awareness, is democratic, opens discussion space for supervisors, principals and teachers to discuss strengths and weaknesses in the teaching and learning process.
