The circuit architecture includes a first order Gm-C structure, two biquad-type structures and grounded capacitors. In order to increase the output swing, the active element used in the filter structure is based on a fully differential folded-cascode operational transconductance amplifier. The cutoff frequency of the proposed filter can be tuned through an external DC bias current around the 27 MHz frequency. The paper presents the complete design of a 5th order differential Gm-C low-pass active filter from the electric schematic to the layout implementation in a 0.18 µm CMOS technology. The results of the computer-based experiments, with ideal and real models of the electronic components, are presented and compared, also from stability point of view. Next, the results of the physical experiments with real operational amplifiers are discussed. In the proposed method, all signals and events are derived from a single internal system clock signal according with the microcontroller’s architecture in order to assure the high precision jitter free time sampling requirements needed in acquisition phase [2] [3]. As a result, all samples are triggered, acquired, and saved in precise defined moments and after that, the corresponding results are extracted in software interrupts when the central unit is available for such tasks. The peristaltic movement, also present in our body for the transport of fluids between organs, consists in the successive contraction of empty muscle structures that force the fluid to move on, hence the positive displacement. The pump housing consists of a fixed wall, an elastic tube, which basically replaces the empty muscle structures we discussed, placed between it and a mobile wall that together achieves an occlusion/contraction on it. The occlusions can be made in two ways, which also results in the classification of peristaltic pumps according to the mode of operation: circular and linear peristaltic pumps. The application presented in this paper is based on the design of a circular peristaltic blood pump used in dialysis machines at the laboratory level. One of the main areas affected by the low water quality are the agricultural crops which represent the beginning of the supply chain. This paper aims to create a monitoring system based on IoT technology that can assess water quality in real time. Thus, the data will be taken with the help of sensors located in the water basins as well as on agricultural land. Devices will have Wi-Fi connectivity and the data received from the sensors will be sent via the MQTT protocol (using TCP/IP) to a Cloud database where they will be stored and processed. The main application for this station will be based on the SWAM project which aims to make a robust, scalable and flexible platform through which farmers can see the causes of weak crops due to poor water quality. It is used further for MTBF calculation which is the main reliability metric. In order to estimate failure rate, various techniques such experimental or estimation-based can be used. Over time, reliability industrial guides for the reliability prediction of electronic and electromechanical have had to provide the estimation of the above-mentioned parameter. Thus, well-known is MIL-HDBK-217F, IEC technical report TR- 62380, IEC 61709, FIDES or SN 29500-Siemens AG. Amongst them, only TR-62380 standard seems to taking account of the packaging in the reliability calculation process by mean of the particular mathematical model. The integrated magnetics technique is used in order to achieve negligible ripple in the input current. These converters are obtained from the same original converter by adding a series LC cell. It is shown that this series LC cell can be connected either in parallel to the transistor or in parallel to the freewheeling diode. A dc analysis is performed and design equations are provided both for CCM and DCM operation. Food quality is nowadays not just a regulated by legislation, but a way of life. Evolution of technology made possible integration of food quality processes with spectrometry and artificial intelligence. The quality of results and time consumption are fundamental when discussing about food conditions. Portability is essential in food quality control outside of factories. In this paper, we propose a portable system, using Jetson TX2 Module, that can identify the spectral component of four classes for this study case. The proposed design is intended to be used in a wide range of applications including industrial and home automation, smart grid control, smart metering etc. In the prototype configuration, which is presented in this paper, the system comprises two modules, a transmitter and a receiver, which are both realized around a pair of Arduino Uno development boards having as main components two ATmega328 microcontrollers. More complex configurations, based on multiple transmission and receiving units are also possible. The implementation of the communication part of the control system is based on the narrowband KQ-330 modems that operates on the existing cable infrastructure used for distribution of electric power. By using a modern architecture which integrate versatile microcontrollers and highly efficient and reliable communication modules, the proposed system achieves very good performances in comparison with classical implementations.
