The goal of the current study is to establish whether serious games are efficient in the area of vocational white collar education, whereby the following research question is asked: To what degree do serious games lead to superior learning results in comparison to traditional group work? In order to answer this question, four groups were formed, two of which took part in a serious game on the topic of “stock market” and two took part in a group work approach to the same topic. Within these different formations, the respective approach was applied at two different DQR (German Qualifications Framework) levels. Subsequently, the learning results were measured by using a uniform learning test. By means of a twofactor variance analysis, both the impact of the method as well as the DQR level were measured. Although no generally increased effectiveness of serious games as a methodology could be found over the methodology of “group work”, the analysis does show a significantly positive change in the learning effectiveness of serious games among the DQR levels, so that we can assume that serious games show increased effectiveness over group work at lower DQR levels. In line with this finding, we can speak of a “meaningful supplement” with regard to the use of serious games. However, this does not signify that this method is generally better than that of group work: a precise analysis of classes is needed in order to ascertain whether method competence has been trained sufficiently in order to make effective use of serious games.","PeriodicalId":426323,"journal":{"name":"40th International Conference on Organizational Science Development Values Competencies and Changes in Organizations","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116968704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Act affected the legal status of public enterprises, where solely public ownership was prescribed, and therefore demanded the reorganization of existing public enterprises. The paper aims to evaluate the reorganization of the existing public enterprises, the motives of reorganization and the advantages and disadvantages of the reorganization under the new legislation. The paper presents results based on the primary data collection through a detailed on-line questionnaire sent to the Slovenian local public utilities’ providers in the area of water and wastewater management, in the period from 2018 till 2020. The collected data is used in the comparative analysis which gives evidence about the final outcomes of the reorganization process. It is evident that policy proposal contributed to the increased public ownership in local public utilities provision.","PeriodicalId":426323,"journal":{"name":"40th International Conference on Organizational Science Development Values Competencies and Changes in Organizations","volume":"os-55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127719804","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Their satisfaction has direct effect on co-workers and their productivity. Leader is largely responsible to create general satisfaction in work environment. With organizing, choosing appropriate management concepts and correct approach to his employees, he creates good relationships with colleagues and contributes to the internal culture of the organization. Good interpersonal relationships are thus an important factor in building success in the company and the operation of processes, as they directly affect work performance, organizational climate and organizational culture. Many companies use classic and wellknown leadership styles. Regardless of the chosen style, it is noticed an alienated relationship between the manager and the employee. The issue can be attributed to strict adherence to the set organizational structure and, in connection with this, the expression of the legitimate power of leaders, yet to some extent the problem is in different understanding of leadership, both with individuals and leaders themselves. The newer leadership style, called Leader-member Exchange Theory, focuses on building relationships, mutual respect and trust, and treating employees as co-workers on the same horizontal hierarchical level. The implementation of this style of management can be seen mainly in foreign markets. This approach is not well known or widespread in Slovenia, nevertheless it is noticed in some companies. Based on a case study from the business environment, we studied a company with such leadership in Slovenia.","PeriodicalId":426323,"journal":{"name":"40th International Conference on Organizational Science Development Values Competencies and Changes in Organizations","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134516777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Telehealth offers remote monitoring and embraces those aspects of telemedicine where communication takes place directly with patients. Both come within the broader frame of reference that is offered by the term digital health. However, there are relatively few standards for services in the field of digital health. This means that standardization institutions and user associations should work together in the development of appropriate standards. Those standards that do exist are of variable quality and only sometimes utilized. However, in a context of rapid changes in technologies and service configurations, they will carry increasing importance within health strategies and practice frameworks; and will be in need of greater enforcement. In this paper, we will emphasise the importance of standards for remote health support and medical treatment. We will offer some examples of standards relating to digital health in European and internationally. We offer definitions for remote health service provision that relate, in particular, to the needs of older people; and set out some of the benefits of standardization of telehealth and telemedicine services within eHealth strategies.","PeriodicalId":426323,"journal":{"name":"40th International Conference on Organizational Science Development Values Competencies and Changes in Organizations","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130747327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The transition to a low-carbon society, while increasing food production, poses a major challenge. The article deals with the carbon footprint in organic milk production on the school property in Biotechnical Centre Naklo. Data are collected from central records of cattle, material and financial accounting, annual plans and reports, and from process monitoring according to ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001). 22 ha of agricultural land with 33 cows and young livestock (46 LSU), grazed throughout the year, are earmarked for the needs of organic milk production. All the processes that affect CO2eq emissions are recorded in order to be able to calculate the carbon footprint (PAS 2050 and ISO 14067) in accordance with the LCA cycle procedures. Voluminous (7,195t) and strong fodder (4,347 t) has maximum impact on CO2eq. (4,347 t). The fodder is followed by electricity (32 t) and gas oil (16 t). The total carbon footprint for milk production and storage at 4 ° C is 60.95 t CO2eq, which is 2.73 CO2eq/l milk.","PeriodicalId":426323,"journal":{"name":"40th International Conference on Organizational Science Development Values Competencies and Changes in Organizations","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125603047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Disruption of critical infrastructure can affect people's lives. From this point of view, it is important that employees with appropriate competencies operate in such infrastructures. These competencies can be collected in the competency model. This is a list of competencies that describe the characteristics of the employee in terms of skills, knowledge, behaviour, and experience. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the main features of competency models in critical infrastructures. This represents an opportunity for further research and implementation of competency models in critical infrastructure systems. However, since it all starts at the top, we discuss the competencies of managers. The integration of competency models into critical infrastructures is an important area, as such models make it easier and faster to acquire key employees.","PeriodicalId":426323,"journal":{"name":"40th International Conference on Organizational Science Development Values Competencies and Changes in Organizations","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131453234","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to new Package, a transposition of legislation is required as well as adjusting the business climate and citizens’ habits in order to fully implement the Package and experience the benefits of Circular Economy in Europe. The transition to a new economy pattern Commission perceived as essential due to new economic, global and environmental challenges. Assessing the waste management, the data showed that some member states already recycle almost 80 % of waste, while others are far away from achieving the Europe 2020 Strategy goals, including Croatia. The Circular Economy Package is nowadays part of EU Green Deal, one of the highest ranked strategic documents, which emphasizes the need for efficient use of resources by transition to the clean circular economy approach as well as to renew the biodiversity and to decrease the pollution. The authors analyse legislative framework and trends in green economy, with special attention on Croatia, and Primorje-Gorski Kotar county. This paper emphasizes the significance of the Circular Economy and its benefits and present the policy implementation capacities on the national and regional level to implement the circular approach to economic process.","PeriodicalId":426323,"journal":{"name":"40th International Conference on Organizational Science Development Values Competencies and Changes in Organizations","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134560296","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

People take critical infrastructure for granted, but it is fraught with great risks. Risk is anything that can prevent the achievement of certain goals and create an outcome that was not foreseen. Just analysing what can happen and acting is called risk management. We find that risk management is becoming an increasingly comprehensive and demanding activity to protect critical infrastructure from emergencies due to intentional or unintentional causing. Improper management can have a negative impact on users, owners, and operators of critical infrastructure. The research used a critical review of secondary sources and a method of synthesis, with the help of which we described why it is necessary to successfully manage risks.","PeriodicalId":426323,"journal":{"name":"40th International Conference on Organizational Science Development Values Competencies and Changes in Organizations","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131012246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, they are also the forerunners of legal norms that institutionalize and operationalize values or ideas about the desired social functioning of people. By defining rights and duties in legal norms, social relations also become legal relationships. The result of conscious and rational connections of people is formal organizations as institutional frameworks that encourage and monitor the activities of their members. It is therefore possible to imagine a sequence: values --- norms --- organization --- action.","PeriodicalId":426323,"journal":{"name":"40th International Conference on Organizational Science Development Values Competencies and Changes in Organizations","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131203582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
