In dem Lernspiel \"Silbenschwingen mit Betonung\" nutzen wir die in Smartphones und Fitnessarmbander eingebauten Accelerometer zur Bewegungs-und Gestenerkennung. Damit untersuchen wir die Moglich-keit, inwiefern solche Embodied Trainings auch fur mobile Serious Games entwickelt werden konnen. Wir erreichen bei der Klassifizierung von Silbenschwungen unter Einsatz von Dynamic Time Warping und nur einem Training pro Geste bei Erwachsenen eine Genauigkeit von 99.3% und bei Kindern zwi-schen 82.2% und 93.9%. Wolff","doi":"10.18420/muc2017-mci-0215","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18420/muc2017-mci-0215","url":null,"abstract":"In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird eine empirische Studie mit 40 Teilnehmern prasentiert, die zum einen das Zusammenwirken von verschiedenen Definitionen der User Interface-Asthetik und zum anderen den Einfluss von Symmetrie, Buntheit und visueller Komplexitat auf die UI-Asthetik untersucht. Die UI-Asthetik wird dabei in intuitive (erster Eindruck) und reflektive (uberlegte) Asthetik unterteilt. Die reflektive Asthetik wiederum gliedert sich in klassische Asthetik (Attraktivitat) und expressive Asthetik (Kreativitat). Als Untersuchungsgegenstand wird ein Korpus aus Webseiten erstellt. Es kann gezeigt werden, dass die intuitive asthetische Beurteilung stark mit der reflektiven korreliert. Symmetrie korreliert positiv und visuelle Komplexitat negativ mit allen drei Definitionen. Fur Buntheit ergeben sich differenzierte Ergebnisse. Bringing networked sensors into the car, connected cars can provide additional information to car drivers and owners, for and beyond the driving task. While there already are technological solutions, such as mobile applications commercially available, research on users’ information demands in such applications is scarce. We conducted four focus groups to uncover what kind of information users might be interested in to see on a second dashboard. Our findings show that besides control screens of todays’ dashboards, people are also interested in connected car services providing context information for a current driving situation and allowing strategic planning of driving safety or supporting car management when not driving. Linkshänder sind häufig gezwungen, für alltägliche Handlungen die rechte Hand zu benutzen. Dadurch sind sie mit ihrer nicht-dominanten Hand geübter. Es gibt bisher kaum Untersuchungen in der Mensch-Computer-Interaktion bezüglich der Usability für Linkshänder. Die Ergebnisse unserer Studie zeigen, dass tendenziell nur Linkshänder mit der nicht-dominanten Hand eine bessere Leistung zeigen. Mit der dominanten Hand ist die Leistung zwischen Links- und Rechtshändern vergleichbar gut. Integrierte Eingabegeräte sind somit bei einfachen Selektionsaufgaben unabhängig von Händigkeit oder Handdominanz. While some software companies still heavily emphasize functional aspects of their products, others have identified the potential of usability to differentiate themselves. The study has an exploratory nature and employs cluster analysis to investigate responses of German SME software companies with a specific focus on usability. We identify three segments of companies, i.e. Usability Sleeper, Usability Executers and Usability Performers. While the first perform worst, the Usability Executers show high usability readiness with regard to software development (SD) processes. Usability Performers further separate themselves through higher employees’ expertise. Subsequent analysis of these sub-segments reveals that business sector and management support are key differentiators amongst them. We compared a container technique with a proximity technique. The container concept was considered due to its familiarity with desktop systems, while the proximity technique is a novel organic concept based on spatial proximity. Our goal was to identify the characteristics of both techniques in regard to grouping and regrouping performance, grouping strategies as well as bimanual and multi-finger input. Our results indicate that the traditional container concept may not be an adequate fit for harnessing the benefits of interactive surfaces. Um das kooperative Arbeiten zu unterstutzen wird das Konzept einer Multi-Focus-View in Kombination mit einer inhaltssensitiven Navigation verfolgt. Ziel ist es, die Navigation im Strasennetz, die Verfugbarkeit kontextsensitiver Informationen sowie die Manipulation von Prozessvariablen in Verkehrsleitzentralen zu verbessern.
