Therefore, it is not easy to prefer any of them, This paper proposes a new concept of surge arresters based on zinc oxide, which do not use spark gaps. The purpose of the web-application is to allow authentication of the user directly from the web-browser using his voice. The captured speech is streamed to the server where the MFCCs are extracted. The classification phase implements four different algorithms: KNN, KD-KNN, non-adapted GMM and adapted GMM. In this paper, error rate and time execution of each of the implement classification method is presented and discussed. The experimental results are then evaluated and the algorithm with the best performance result is given.","PeriodicalId":424325,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings ELMAR-2014","volume":"338 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134125155","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our approach is based on the Gaussian Process Regression (GPR). It is applied after the standard calibration and it is particularly useful for the aging depth cameras. The latter, were proven to suffer from inaccuracies that cannot be fixed with the standard pinhole camera calibration procedure. Experimental results show the weaknesses of this naïve calibration and the corrective of effect our algorithm. We further justify the possibility to extend the same approach to any other type of cameras with similar characteristics.","PeriodicalId":424325,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings ELMAR-2014","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125662799","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The genetic algorithm is able to optimize all these parameters quickly and to improve the recognition accuracy. We provide a comparative study of three types of local binary patterns (LBP, LGP and NRLBP) and four distance measures (L1, L2, χ2, EMD). The genetic algorithm is also used to optimize parameters such as dimension of histograms. Our results are tested on three different face databases which have the similar properties. We can set these optimal parameters into our face recognition system suitable for the next-generation of hybrid broadcast broadband television.","PeriodicalId":424325,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings ELMAR-2014","volume":"69 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117236957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a review of state-of-art with the references to the relevant works in the area of DSA. The most important DSA models and the main related challenges are introduced. Dynamic exclusive use model of DSA serves as the underlying platform for the implementation of spectrum trading in cognitive radio networks. Spectrum trading is a mechanism for flexible transfer of spectrum rights, which increases the revenue of a spectrum seller, and in parallel, the overall spectrum utilization as well. It is expected that the economy of the spectrum trading will play important role in the cognitive radio networks and thus, receive a huge attention currently. Therefore, the review of the relevant spectrum trading models is also referenced in this paper.","PeriodicalId":424325,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings ELMAR-2014","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117016293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the concept relies on the use of periodic structures with bandgap properties the analysis is very complex. Our proposed analysis approach is based on efficient use of Method of Moments/Mode-matching to rigorously determine the scattering of each element in the grid. To achieve this, the currents on the elements are first determined by using the Green's function of a single element in a parallel-plate waveguide. The solution is then expanded to all the elements from which dispersion properties can be determined. The results of our approach are verified using full-wave commercial software. They show excellent agreement, but it is important to point out that they are obtained in a fraction of the time compared to the full-wave software.","PeriodicalId":424325,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings ELMAR-2014","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133436510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
