This paper presents a research review of game-based research in education literature from 2008 to 2017. A total of 1,334 journal papers with 17,899 citations were searched and collected from social science citation index database to construct citation network. With the advantage of main path analysis, a total of 4,523 citation links with 758,211 traversal counts were found. Among numerous paths in the citation network, the most frequently searched key-route main paths were identified. Those notable key-route main paths were used as the basis to map the knowledge flow of game-based research in education. This study highlights the key-routes main paths as the theoretical development trajectories in game-based research, providing a research-based platform for further scholarly discussion.","PeriodicalId":423756,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Education Innovations","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122000116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors, educators and AI and CS researchers, in their capacity as heads of Educational Robotics and Knowledge Engineering Labs, have researched, both theoretically and empirically, the best technology to use in managing this exposure, with the aim of bringing up the most accomplished, happy and responsible digizens. Our method is Montessori humanistic, constructivist, individualized, game and inquiry based. The child is seemingly given a free access and choice of what to do online. In reality he is stirred towards the right material, using pre-planted and interactively evolving individually customized attractions before, and prices after, he has played the game or watched the clip, that are really a lesson. For instance, to learn about multiculturalism and study languages, a 3-year old who liked pandas was stirred through clips about pandas to ask to study Chinese and in time on his own initiative used YouTube lessons and did learn it. We currently work on making available an online app for parents and educators all over the world.","PeriodicalId":423756,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Education Innovations","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129235184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A factor that helps a student to successfully complete the thesis is the supervisor's presence in the thesis development process. The postgraduate students follow courses aimed at developing thesis, has completed all postgraduate requirements, however they do not culminate thesis. The purpose of this article is determine the relationship between the supervisor's performance and thesis development according the students perceptions. A survey of 51 students on supervision shows that there is a positive correlation between the supervisor's performance and thesis development. Statistically, the results demonstrate that cognitive skills, personal conditions and function role of supervisor positively correlate with thesis development.","PeriodicalId":423756,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Education Innovations","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121158833","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

AEH can improve the usability of hypermedia, by providing a model of various qualities of a learner and apply this information to adapt the content and the navigation to the requirements of the learner. However, authoring adaptive materials is not a simple task, as an author may be pressed for time, or simply lack the skills needed, to create new adaptive materials from scratch, and thus any improvements in the reuse of adaptation specification (application of adaptive behaviour rules) is a major help in the authoring process. The aim of this study is thus to expand a personalised, social, gamified, visualisation-supporting e-learning system based on Adaptive Educational Hypermedia (Topolor), by implementing an easy-to-use, intuitive authoring tool and to evaluate it with experts in the field as well as high-school teachers.","PeriodicalId":423756,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Education Innovations","volume":"134 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133163398","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Experts have gone so far as to chart the future development of AI systems that surpass human intelligence as a single civilization-shifting event, known as the \"technological singularity\" or \"the Singularity.\" But in the more near future, AI promises to have more concrete applications throughout our everyday lives, including in education, a challenge that China has already taken up. At present, the main applications of this so-called \"weak\" artificial intelligence in Chinese education are MOOC, web classes, and the flipped class model, with the results already proving outstanding. With the deeper combination of AI and education, we can look forward to benefits like the increasing usefulness of after-school tutoring robots, reliving teachers of burdensome responsibilities, and balancing global education resources. We should, however, also use AI in education reasonably by contextualizing gathered data, strengthening legal protections, and developing moral guidelines in machine programming. Addressing these three points will address the concerns of many laypeople as AI systems are implemented, offering protection for their fragile beginnings in education and encouraging the development of better ones in the future.","PeriodicalId":423756,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Education Innovations","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121962760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the millennial era, it is all the more intriguing in the lives of the University students. WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Google Plus or YouTube are extensively used by them. The students may use social media for connectivity, sharing personal and academic information, entertainment or for any other reason. Moreover, more than one platform might be in use. There is a shift in the methodology of study from the use of books and papers to the tablets, laptops and even smart phones. All the gadgets have plethora of information available through internet which may act as a distraction from studies to the students. This paper therefore, is an attempt to analyze the extent to which the use of social media affects the academic performance of the students. A survey was administered to the engineering students of a University in Dubai through a questionnaire and SPSS software is used for analysis. The analysis highlights the fact that in the millennial era, it is not advisable to restrict the use of social media for the students. However, the students need to be counseled for using the social media for academic purposes and not get swayed towards just socializing. A balance between both the purposes will be the most preferred scenario.","PeriodicalId":423756,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Education Innovations","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121134406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it is essential for secondary teachers to be sound not only academically but also professionally. The fact that teaching needs to be professionalized in order to increase student outcomes seems to be quite obvious, but empirical evidence substantiating this relationship is rare. This study focuses on factors like teachers' academic qualification, years of experience and professional qualifications. To serve the purpose a random sample was drawn and data was collected from secondary level teachers of Rajasthan. The relationship between academic qualification, experience and professional qualification with teacher professionalism was assessed. Results relate that despite being an important part of teacher professionalism, teachers' academic qualification and experience does not automatically account for the teacher being a professional, a lesser qualified teacher can be a professional too. Only teachers having a professional degree in education showed a significant difference in professionalism reinstating the importance of professional training of teachers.","PeriodicalId":423756,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Education Innovations","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131098398","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

National E-Governance Program (NEGP) is a new media based plan which has its inception in 2003 as part of the 10th National Plan. Aiming to provide electronic services to citizens, NEGP was conceptualized to include all state governments and various standalone mission mode projects (MMPs) and various activities. The current sphere of research in technology acceptance remains in its initial stages in India. In the context of demonetization, GoI's Digital India initiative, India's young demography and IT excellence, it becomes important to investigate the determining and moderating factors which can help accelerate the pace of digital technology acceptance. Based on existing theoretical foundations, the authors propose and test a modified framework of Digital Technology Acceptance Behaviour of users of government services.","PeriodicalId":423756,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Education Innovations","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121909633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
