However to relate the theoretical knowledge with the real control system application is very challenging in a conventional faced to faced pedagogy due to the time, facilities, cost and location constraint. This paper discusses the design and implementation of a web based to support theoretical knowledge during lecture session. This project uses the capabilities of LabVIEW software and data acquisition card to obtain the measurement of the actual hardware in the and make it available through the web. As a result, instructors are able to demonstrate the integration of theoretical knowledge and actual application through web-based experiments with a significant reduced in time requirement and cost.","PeriodicalId":417754,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Congress on Engineering Education (ICEED)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124548442","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Reported in this paper is a method that sums a PO score by its cumulative fractional contribution from a course, and requires minimal data input prior to calculations of CO's and PO's. The fractional CO-PO mapping, once set up, should not be difficult to execute to compute the CO and PO provided an educator spends a little time filling the fractions in the marking scheme and specifying the contribution of each question or aspect of assignment to any one CO. Real examples programmed in Excel are shown.","PeriodicalId":417754,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Congress on Engineering Education (ICEED)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130167000","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The so-called “breakthrough” is to build a bridge between the classroom and the lab. This paper also takes the industrial robot technology course as an example and analyzes the function of the classroom-laboratory breakthrough type teaching. This mode can not only improve students' comprehensive quality but also strengthen their engineering consciousness, which is very helpful for students of engineering colleges to study their specialized courses well.","PeriodicalId":417754,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Congress on Engineering Education (ICEED)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114683005","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A tool has been developed to help lecturers to set up the questions. This tool is not purposely to automatically generate the questions but it is used to justify the level and early planning before the questions being constructed. In this tool, levels of difficulties are justified based on Bloom's Taxonomy level. The components of Bloom's Taxonomy have been divided into three stages starting with the basic knowledge up to students' evaluation capacity. This tool only limits a total of hundred marks for each set no matter how many number of questions to be constructed. User only need to fill in a few steps before they can generate the final report consists of the topics and marks that they have planned. Finally through the report, panels of evaluator can check whether the set of questions meets the requirement of the course in that semester.","PeriodicalId":417754,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Congress on Engineering Education (ICEED)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122178172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
