Finally how the number and the position of the EBGS rows on antenna substrate affect the performance of the antenna is analyzed. It is proposed that using mushroom like EBGS gain, bandwidth, radiation efficiency of reference antenna increase. EBGS also reduce return loss, Voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), surface wave of reference antenna. How two effect of EBGS named cavity effect and parasitic loading effect play vital role on the performance of antenna is also discussed.","PeriodicalId":417359,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (iCEEiCT)","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133015811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

That’s why, a recommendation system is very important for user to find out the suitable product quickly. On the other hand, a recommendation system gives the flexibility of efficient searching rather than manually. In this way, recommendation system plays a prominent role to user. In this study, we have developed a scheme for a movie recommendation system named neural engine-based recommendation system (NERS) for users. In our recommended approach (NERS), we have incorporated data contents about user’s interests via standard movie dataset, that helps us to make a neural engine called neural recommender (NR). We have used two sorts of data sets to make NR, one is general dataset associated with five different nature of data variables, and another one was based on user’s choice pattern, where some of the volunteer user contributes their efforts to create it. After combining both data sets, NR engine was applying a neural network (NN), that’s recognize user behavioral patterns and then forming a class database, where each class have constructed by using movie genres. In this way, we have initiated nine different grades of classes in the manner of various genres. Finally, two evaluation techniques were used to figure out the best solutions by selecting one or multiple class. For multiple classes, our system will combine information from selected classes and consider them as one for query purpose. At last, three estimators, mean squareerr or(MSE), mean absolute error (MAE) and mean relative error (MRE), were exploiting to demonstrates prediction accuracy of our NERS approach. And, the simulation results show that, our system achieved better performance compare to other methods.","PeriodicalId":417359,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (iCEEiCT)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122372057","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A substantial amount of approaches have been taken to solve this problem in Bengali Literature, including machine learning techniques and natural language processing methods. Most of the classification approaches, especially the machine learning methods, have a high computational requirement and time complexity for model training and testing whenever a large amount of data is to be processed. This restricts their uses in everyday electronic devices and computers with lower system specifications. In this paper, we take a different approach in exploring the classification problem using Facebook's open source fastText technology, specifically due to its low computational power requirement and faster model training, to check the possibility of its use in applications in regular computers and mobile systems. Our approach with fastText provided us with convincing results, outperforming traditional machine learning based classifiers, m ore specifically, Naive Bayes' accuracy whenever longer length n-grams were taken as feature sets. FastText also trained its classification models much faster than those of Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Naive Bayes.","PeriodicalId":417359,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (iCEEiCT)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124555467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Electric tricycles have become a revolution in the mass transportation system in the country. Not only have they reduced the transport cost but also, they have created jobs and developed local automobile industries with no carbon emission and air pollution. The battery bank used by these tricycles gets energised from the utility grid. The conventional chargers that use iron core transformer have efficiency lower than 80%. These inefficient chargers consume huge power from national. A partially solar powered electric tricycle can really help in mitigating the pressure on grid and at the same time be a green transporting solution for the country. Some companies already take initiatives to install solar based charging stations for these electric tricycles. But considering initial budget and storage complexity, a partially solar powered electric tricycle should be more economically sound than other solutions. This paper presents the basic configuration of a partially solar powered electric tricycle and analyse the overall performance by it in the ambient condition of Bangladesh. The efficiency and maximum rated power of solar PV array is also observed and calculated.","PeriodicalId":417359,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (iCEEiCT)","volume":"294 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121313585","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In case of designing an inverter, triggering signal generation is necessary to fire the switching elements. The objective of this work is to generate gate pulse for triggering the switching element using real time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) technique on MATLAB/Simulink environment. The logic block designed in MATLAB/Simulink is directly burned into Arduino’s flash memory without using any kind of coding technique. Control blocks are created in MATLAB/Simulink while measurement signals from the hardware circuit are taken into MATLAB/Simulink through serial communication protocol of Arduino. PWM signals are generated by Arduino using MATLAB/Simulink and sent to a power electronic converter. This method can be used to generate different types of pulse signal for various converter applications without programming complexity. Among all existing technique, the proposed technique is the cheapest and easiest to implement.","PeriodicalId":417359,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (iCEEiCT)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121419089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The burgeoning industrialization in recent years is the indication of progression towards prosperity and economic stability which also requires enormous amount of electricity. However, instead of only augmenting the power generation capacity, the existing energy could be utilized in a much smarter and efficacious way in order to create a world with lower level of noxious carbon emission through an ingenious strategy called the Demand Side Management (DSM). In this paper, we have mainly highlighted DSM strategies for judiciously regulating the electricity consumption pattern of residential sector which is the prime factor of immense energy requirement. Moreover, for encouraging the unaccustomed people of Bangladesh about the bright sides of DSM, we have proposed a time-of-use (ToU) based pricing scheme, and through the MATLAB simulation results it has been shown that not only the peak to average ratio (PAR) of the energy consumption curve but also the electricity cost of the consumers can be scaled down which can depreciate the massive infrastructural and operational cost of peaking power plants.","PeriodicalId":417359,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (iCEEiCT)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125685282","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
