The scientific novelty of the research lies in the presentation of interpretation as a discursive-dictemic category, the definition of its types and the identification of specific marking means of its linguistic objectivation in English-language news media texts. As a result, it is proved that, being an institutional type of discourse, the news media discourse has a certain organization for constructing its linguistic interpretation by the addressee to the addressee, namely, it is possible to distinguish an informing interpretation and an influencing (evaluative) interpretation. The informative interpretation is marked by the following linguistic means: at the lexical level – numerals (digital data), proper names; at the propositional level: polypredicative constructions, structural and logical means of cohesion; at the dictemic level, there are narrative and causal types of dictates. Influencing interpretation, when manipulating readers' beliefs, sets various pragmatic guidelines for news media texts. Namely, it is possible to distinguish between invasive and motivational interpretations, each of which is characterized by different linguistic means of objectivation.","PeriodicalId":415627,"journal":{"name":"Philology. The scientific novelty consists in the application of ML algorithms in the recognition of emotionally marked speech of North Caucasian bilinguals in the problem of binary classification of the presence or absence of an accent with the determination of the optimal combination of universal prosodic and spectral features. During the study, an experimental corpus of speech of representatives of three ethnic groups (Russians, Kabardians and Armenians) was created with an annotation of the degree of accent, prosodic (94 signs) and spectral (74 signs) characteristics were extracted from speech signals, a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of machine learning algorithms (logistic regression, k-nearest neighbors, the method of support vectors, decision trees) in the problem of binary classification of the presence/absence of emphasis. The results of the study showed that at the syllabic level, the most effective is the decision tree model with combined features, and at the phrasal level, the k-nearest neighbor model with prosodic features. Universal prosodic features that form the basis of the \"language model of emotions\" were identified, as well as typological differences in their implementation, reflecting the influence of the native language on the emotional speech of bilinguals.","PeriodicalId":415627,"journal":{"name":"Philology. It examines the specific lexical units that are used to describe digital educational practices in modern German pedagogy. The author draws attention to the aspect of lexical hybridization in the linguistic representation of digital education, which affects the vocabulary of such areas as \"educational technologies\", \"teaching methods and forms of knowledge control\", \"security and ethics\". The purpose of this study is to identify the peculiarities of the hybridization of the vocabulary of the digital educational environment in Germany. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the hybrid vocabulary of the German language of the digital educational environment is systematized, which allows us to expand the understanding of the evolution of the language in the context of digital transformation and assess its impact on the educational process and language culture. The results of the study showed that hybrid words with English-language components are widely used in German in the field of digital education in Germany, which reflect various aspects of modern digital learning.","PeriodicalId":415627,"journal":{"name":"Philology. The scientific novelty lies in a comprehensive approach to the study of this poetic technique. Previously considered exclusively literary, this technique is being studied for the first time on folklore material. For the first time, the very concept of Japanese entertaining fairy tales is introduced into scientific circulation, concrete examples show what their national specifics are and how exactly the yukari-kotoba technique is used in them. As a result, it is shown that the yukari-kotoba poetic technique, based on homonymy and phonetic possibilities of the Japanese language, played an important plot role in Japanese poetry, offering to see additional information hidden in the main text of the poem. In folklore entertaining fairy tales, this technique played a genre-forming role, that is, it transformed fairy tales into entertaining ones.","PeriodicalId":415627,"journal":{"name":"Philology. The article considers the main structural and semantic models of multicomponent terms fixed in various types of English language discourse of dental implantology. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the mechanisms of formation of multicomponent terms in the field of English-speaking dental implantology were studied and their main structural models were identified. As a result of the study, it was found that the syntactic method of term formation is prevalent. The number of multicomponent terms significantly exceeds the number of single-component terms and makes up the majority (about 2/3, or 74.6%) of the studied terms. Multicomponent terms demonstrate various combinations, while substantive, attributive and object phrases prevail, both simple and combined. From the point of view of the structure of multicomponent terms, two-component (59.4%) and three-component (11.9%) terminological units prevail. In terms of semantic structure, single-core terms with a periphery dominate over single-core terms.","PeriodicalId":415627,"journal":{"name":"Philology. To solve this goal, the article analyzes the semantics of the units “but”, “although”, “still” both independently functioning and as part of combinations. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the fact that for the first time the semantic contribution of units with similar meaning “but”, “although”, “although … but” in polymarker utterances is revealed and described on the material of contexts from the National Corpus of the Russian Language. As a result of the study it was found that in the contexts with the combinations “still”, “although ... but”, “although ... but still” the formation of the meaning of the statement is carried out due to the semantics of each component, which has its own functional load. “Still” in polymarker contexts acts as an indicator of information of different degrees of importance and is used to correct possible misinterpretation of implicit meanings.","PeriodicalId":415627,"journal":{"name":"Philology. The article considers the situations of using precedent units in speech communication on the material of English and Russian languages. The analysis of the use of precedent units revealed the creative potential of the phenomenon of precedence and identified a number of opportunities for further study of the phenomenon in the activity aspect. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the fact that for the first time creative possibilities of precedent language units are considered within the framework of the system-activity approach to the study of speech communication in linguistic, cognitive and communicative dimensions. As a result of the study it was established that the creative process of making a precedent unit is an individual cognitive-communicative activity of each of the communicators. Highly communicative communicators are most active in the generation of creative texts; precedence in speech is justified by the framework of conjugation of cognitive activity, communicative activity of the author and cognitive activity, communicative activity of the recipient of speech communication.","PeriodicalId":415627,"journal":{"name":"Philology. The article defines the elements of the information structure of English-language business memoirs, which is considered in the form of a number of thematic groups. The main attention is paid to the description of multi-level language tools with which a specific thematic group is implemented. In addition, a comparative analysis of linguistic means in the memoir texts of British and American entrepreneurs is presented, through which similarities and differences in the verbalization of their information structure are determined. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the definition and systematization of text-building tools of business memoirs of English-speaking entrepreneurs based on their generalized information structure. As a result of the study, it was found that in the process of verbalization of the information structure in the texts of English-language memoirs of entrepreneurs, the use of both universal language tools and specific ones is observed. The language specifics are directly dependent on a certain thematic group. Also, English-language business memoirs have revealed some differences of a text-building nature due to differences in British and American mentalities.","PeriodicalId":415627,"journal":{"name":"Philology. The variant texts of the Yukaghirs with this character are analyzed in comparison with the Yakut folklore material, where there is a plot similar to the Yukaghir one. The scientific novelty consists in revealing the original meaning of the image of the little elk hunter and individual elements of the plot about him in the context of ethnographic data, folklore studies. As a result of the study, it is shown that the actions of the hero characterize him as endowed with magical skills: he commands the winds associated with different sides of the world and uses them to move in space, which is interpreted as a journey through the worlds; with an effort of thought, he materializes a boat and returns home on it, which goes back to crossing a water barrier as the border between worlds; gets moose, being inside it, like those with supernatural abilities. The symbolism of these actions is associated with the themes of transition to the other world, death and rebirth. In the story of a small craftsman, mythological codes are hidden behind the general content of the fairy tale, which focuses on the external data of the hero, who eventually dies in an absurd way. The shift in the meanings of folklore narration allows us to consider a fairy tale as a humorous plot, a tall tale.","PeriodicalId":415627,"journal":{"name":"Philology. The aim of the study is to identify nationally specific prosodic markers of the state of \"joy\" based on the material of the Russian and Kabardian ethnogroups of the Caucasian Mineral Waters region. The scientific novelty of the study consists in identifying ethnically conditioned signs that manifest the difference in emotionally marked communication models in the speech of North Caucasian bilinguals. Acoustic analysis of the material showed differences in the sound characteristics of speech between the Russian and the interfered variants, such as an increase in the intervals of raising and lowering the tone, an expansion of the tonal range of the phrase and changes in the formant values of vowels. The results obtained prove that both the formant picture of the studied replicas in the implementation of Kabardian and Russian ethnogroups and the data of the level of phrasal prosody are ethnically conditioned, and emotionally marked communication models differ in qualitative characteristics.","PeriodicalId":415627,"journal":{"name":"Philology.
