The approach applies a set of rules over the information received from a vision system to consider an extended set of constraints for end-of-arm tooling. Collision-free, finding objects that are safe for gripping or the order of operation are based on a graph dependency mechanism. The interaction among a robot, a vision system, and the developed module is obtained through an IoT system extension. Validated on a real manufacturing system, our method can simplify and improve several robotized applications.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129327010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To support authorization, the X.509 attributes certificates (associated with corresponding public key certificates) may be employed. The attribute certificates must be properly verified before granting access to the services or (data) objects. This process implies several steps, including formal validity of the attribute certificate and the control of the privileges corresponding to the data contained in the certificate itself. The X.509 standard indicates a dedicated entity, named privilege verifier, in charge of performing these controls before granting access to an object to a privilege holder. This paper describes a possible implementation of a privilege verifier, which exploits a dedicated Attribute Certificate Validation Module (ACVM) to verify attribute certificates. In our approach, we reduce the complexity of the ACVM, which must support also the validation of the public key certificates associated with the attribute certificates, with the help of a specialized public key certificate validation service provided by a client-server architecture we have previously implemented.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130328080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ECG remains one of the main investigations by current medical standards, playing an important role in decision making for treating cardiac patients. Current ECG medical devices record 12 one-dimensional electrical signal channels to create a 3D map of the heart electrical activity. The modern ECG machines also offer physicians an automatic medical interpretation of the ECG based on measurement of the signal waves and waves intervals: PR, QRS, ST and T wave interval. We propose a novel computer assisted ECG interpretation method based on ID convolutional deep neural networks. This method is based on combining different types of neural networks layers: ID convolutional, Dense, Dropout, Flatten, MaxPooling. By using real electrocardiogram Data(having multiple types of real electrocardiogram data) from ECG recording we were able to improve the accuracy of the overall classification of our best deep neural network and this led to a better predictions of our deep neural network model. Our final results were promising, and we plan to further develop a system that can classify the electrocardiogram of a patient for current use in a hospital.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130403849","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, they generate the effective frequency for shielding on the surface of a matter. To examine this frequency more precisely, a layer of thickness L from a homogeneous plasma is examined. Once this natural frequency is determined, a controller is designed to maintain the oscillation frequency constant also in the presence of disturbances which can occur. In this paper a Discrete Sliding Mode Control (DSMC) is proposed to maintain the natural frequency of the plasma constant. A proposition shows that a controller on just a grid point of the circular cell is enough to stabilize this frequency robustly even though in the presence of continuous disturbances and in the presence of unknown electrical initial fields. Simulation results validated the proposed control law.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129823352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Searching through large databases is considered an important problem, with multiple applications, where the properties of quantum computing could be used to find a potential solution. In this paper, the authors present an implementation for Grover’s search algorithm, a fast quantum algorithm for database search, and analyze the results for various graph topologies used in some of the real quantum devices provided by IBM. The algorithm provides a quadratic speedup over its classical counterpart (linear complexity). The code used in the implementation is possible with the help of the Qiskit framework and IBM Q Experience platform. Multiple tests with their results are presented. The experiments include three implementations of Grover’s search algorithm for different input register sizes: 2, 3 and 4 qubits, and exploration of multiple running configurations. We focus on the performance impact of selecting different groups of qubits on various real quantum devices, such as the probability to find the desired state and the execution time. For each experiment, we present the motivation, the results and their analysis.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128722732","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The two strategies are powerful tools in controlling processes with different complexities, using the full potential of fractional calculus, a powerful mathematical tool that generalizes differintegral operations to any non-integer, arbitrary, order. The dynamics of a robot moving through a non-Newtonian fluid is described by a complex fractional order transfer model, which is used to tune both controllers. The inverse of the fractional order process model together with a fractional order filter are used to develop the FOIMC control strategy. The parameters of the FOIMC controller are determined using frequency domain specifications for phase margin and gain crossover frequency. Furthermore, the FOPI controller is developed using the same specifications as for the FOIMC case, with an additional robustness specification through the isodamping property. The two controllers are compared based on the closed loop system performance for test cases related robustness to uncertainties of the process model, step reference and output disturbance rejection.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127604314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the automotive field, the main AUTOSAR (Automotive Open System Architecture) component in such multicore architectures is represented by an adequate real-time operating system which coordinates the cores and their tasks according to different strategies. This paper briefly analyzes the features of the AUTOSAR multicore operating system. Afterwards, the paper proposes the extension of the operating system with adaptive capabilities which allow each core to manage besides its own tasks, the critical tasks of other cores only if required. To achieve this, the replication strategy is considered for task migration between cores. The simulation results illustrate the expected system behavior considering the proposed task migration strategy. The presented concept wishes to enhance the safety perspective of the automotive software.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126157992","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the development of AV functionalities is a complex task, as multiple technologies have to be tested and integrated to fulfill the required automation level. Moreover, the number of different scenarios that have to be dealt with Cooperative and Connected Automated Mobility (CCAM) solutions makes traditional track testing a non-optimal approach. Due to this, in recent years interest in the development of simulation-based testing frameworks has arisen, with open-source and commercial solutions trying to fulfill the requirements of AV development. This work introduces an automated vehicle testing framework that combines the widely used open-source simulation environment CARLA with a self-developed modular control framework AUDRIC. The communication between both is made using the ROS environment. The proposed approach provides the advantages of both environments in terms of flexibility and modularity, allowing the development of automated functionalities for the different modules of AV architecture. The validity of the approach is demonstrated by presenting two use cases: a lane following application and an obstacle avoidance scenario.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122919695","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The light transport and in particular the diffuse light reflections are some of the most important components of photorealism in computer graphics. In this paper, we present an improvement of an instant radiosity approach which simulates the diffuse reflections of the light by sampling a set of virtual point lights from multi-view renderings of the scene. Our proposed method obtains the VPLs from a sequence of frames, instead of sampling the results from a single frame. It uses a very small number of samples per frame that are combined with the results obtained from the samples evaluated in the previous frames. This strategy offers a performance improvement of up to 3 times with similar visual results.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126939747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An important aspect is the choice of the reference model. This model must be chosen considering the following aspects: essential information on the dynamics of the closed-loop process; the level of dynamic errors resulting in closed loop for the adopted reference model; the maximum amplitude of the disturbance that would cause a major deterioration of the regulation quality.
