Pada serangan berat, ruas yang digerek mulai bawah hingga mendekati titik tumbuh. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengamati pola serangan penggerek C. sacchariphagus pada ruas batang tebu. Pengamatan dilakukan pada petak yang diaplikasi insektisida berbahan aktif klorantraniliprol dengan dosis 150 gr ha-1 dan petak kontrol tanpa aplikasi insektisida. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan pola serangan pada kedua petak hampir sama, hanya batang terserang pada petak yang diaplikasi insektisida lebih rendah dibanding petak kontrol. Ruas yang paling banyak terserang ialah ruas ke 14-20 baik pada petak kontrol maupun petak yang diaplikasi insektisida. Curah hujan sangat mempengaruhi serangan penggerek pada ruas batang tebu. Semakin tinggi curah hujan, semakin tinggi ruas batang terserang. This research aimed to investigate solid biofertilizer (BF) effectiveness in various doses and combination with inorganic fertilizer (IF) on sugarcane agronomic performance and productivity so that the best dose combination of the two types of fertilizer on sugarcane can be observed. The field experiment was executed in the pattern-B sugarcane planting season/rainy season (October 2020) until the milled sugarcane harvest age at Afdeling Kaliputih, Kendenglembu, PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII, Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia. The experiment was performed with a randomized block design with three replicates. The treatment was a combination of doses of BF and IF, i.e., 1) without any fertilization; 2) 0% IF + 500 kg ha-1 BF; 3) 0% IF + 1,000 kg ha-1 BF; 4) 100% IF + 0 kg ha-1 BF; 5) 75% IF + 1,000 kg ha-1 BF; 6) 75% IF + 500 kg ha-1 BF; 7) 50% IF + 1,000 kg ha-1 BF; 8) 50% IF + 500 kg ha-1 BF; 9) 25% IF + 1,000 kg ha-1 BF; and 10) 25% IF + 500 kg ha-1 BF. Observed parameters were: 1) Seed germination (SG) percentage at 1 month after planting (MAP); 2) the number of stalks and tillers/clumps at 3 and 6 MAP; 3) Stalk height at 3, 6, and 11 MAP; 4) Stalk diameter at 6 and 11 MAP; 5) Sugarcane productivity, commercial cane sugar (CCS), and sugar crystal productivity at 12 MAP; and 6) Relative Agronomic Effectiveness (RAE). Results showed no significant difference among all the treatments in sugarcane SG percentage. Applying mixed BF and IF did not significantly affect the number of tiller/clumps, the number of stalks, stalk height, and stalk diameter of sugarcane at 6 and 11 MAP compared to the treatments of 100% IF. Penyakit ini dilaporkan kembali menyerang pertanaman tebu di Indonesia sejak akhir tahun 2016. Salah satu penyebab dari ledakan penyakit luka api akhi-akhir ini adalah adanya penanaman dominasi varietas tebu Bululawang yang rentan terhadap penyakit luka api. Untuk mengurangi serangan penyakit luka api di kebun tebu perlu dicoba pengendalian kimiawi penyakit ini menggunakan fungisida. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini ialah menguji efikasi fungisida Flutriafol untuk mengendalikan penyakit luka api baik pada tanaman pertama (PC) maupun pada tanaman keprasan (RC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan fungisida Flutriafol dengan konsentrasi 2,6 mL/L yang diaplikasikan 1 kali saat tanam atau setelah kepras, dapat menekan serangan penyakit luka api pada tanaman PC dan RC sampai dengan umur 6 bulan. Efikasi fungisida Flutriafol pada PC dan RC masing-masing pada kisaran 83-84% dan 81,25-90,08%. The objective of this research was to determine the effect of the doses of vinasse given on land on chemical characteristics for soil quality. It was conducted in a randomized block design with 4 doses of vinasse in 3 replications. There were 4 kinds of vinasse doses, namely 75,000, 150,000, 225,000 and 300,000 litres/ha. The control was the administration of 0 litre of vinasse, in which sampling was carried out at the beginning before the land was sprayed vinasse. Statistical design for analysis of chemical data including the element of phosphorous, potassium, nitrogen, C/N ratio, humic substances, pH, organic matter, and cation exchange capacity (CEC) were analyzed by One-way ANOVA. The average value of the treatment was tested with a least significant difference test (LSD) with a control comparison. The results showed that the dose of vinasse sprayed to land between 75,000 to 300,000 liters/ha had a significant effect on the increasing in nitrogen content, C/N ratio, phosphorus, potassium, cation exchange capacity and humic substances when compared to the control. Meanwhile, the soil pH conditions between control and treatments with vinasse dose were not significantly different. Pengendalian penggunaan pestisida masih menjadi pilihan ketika serangan hama dan populasi gulma tidak dapat dikendalikan secara manual. Aplikasi pestisida pada tanaman tebu tidak menutup kemungkinan bersamaan dengan parasitoid Trichogramma sebagai agen pengendali hayati hama penggerek tebu. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi pestisida berbahan aktif klorantraniliprol serta paraquat diklorida dan diuron terhadap proporsi penetasan parasitoid, proporsi malformasi, dan lama hidup parasitoid Trichogramma japonicum. Percobaan Menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji adalah kontrol (tanpa perlakuan), infestasi pias T. japonicum pada daun tebu yang terbuka insektisida/herbisida hari ke-0, ke-1, ke-2, dan ke-3. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi insektisida berbahan aktif klorantraniliprol tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase penetasan dan kematian parasitoid tetapi berpengaruh nyata pada persentase malformasi serangga. Adapun aplikasi herbisida berbahan aktif paraquat diklorida dan diuron berpengaruh nyata terhadap proporsi penetasan, malformasi serangga dan kematian parasitoid T. japonicum .Kata kunci : insektisida, herbisida, klorantraniliprol, paraquat diklorida, diuron, Trichogramma ABSTRACTSugarcane productivity decreases due to the presence of weeds and pest incursion in the field. Pesticide is still an option in controlling pest and weed populations when they cannot be controlled manually. Sometimes pesticide application coincides with the release of parasitoid Trichogramma, a biological control agent of sugarcane borer pests. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the pesticide application with active ingredients chlorantraniliprole, paraquat dichloride and diuron on the percentage of parasitoid hatching, malformations, and the life span of the parasitoid Trichogramma japonicum.The experiment used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments tested were control (untreated), T. japonicum infestation on sugarcane leaves exposed to insecticides/herbicides on the 0, 1, 2, and 3 days. The results showed that the application of insecticides with the active ingredient chlorantraniliprole had no significant effect on hatching and parasitoid deaths percentage, but it was a significant different in the percentage of insect malformations. Kerugian akibat serangan penggerek dapat berupa penurunan bobot tebu, rendemen maupun kualitas nira yang diperoleh. Pengendalian secara biologis dengan parasitoid dapat menekan populasi hama. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengamati tingkat parasitasi hama penggerek Chilo terrenellus di kebun. Dengan demikian dapat diputuskan parasitoid yang dapat dikembangkan secara masal untuk pengendalian hama di kebun. Pengamatan dilakukan mulai bulan April 2014 sampai dengan bulan Februari 2015 di kebun pembibitan tebu di Desa Alaku, Distrik Okaba, Kabupaten Merauke. Pengambilan sampel larva dan telur penggerek dilakukan setiap minggu. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan adanya 3 jenis parasitoid penggerek batang yang memarasit telur dan larva C. terrenellus. Parasitoid telur Trichogramma chilonis, parasitoid larva Cotesia flavipes dan Sturmiopsis inferens dapat dijumpai selama periode pengamatan. Penyakit ini menjadi masalah serius di areal perkebunan tebu PG Cintamanis sejak musim tanam (MT) 2013/2014. Karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sebaran penyakit busuk akar pangkal batang di wilayah PG Cintamanis mulai MT 2013/2014 – 2019/2020. Pengamatan dilakukan diseluruh wilayah tanaman tebu dengan mengamati gejala yang muncul dan dihitung luas petak yang terserang. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan pada MT 2013/2014 terdapat 178 petak terserang dan di MT 2019/2020 menjadi 1220 petak terserang. Semua varietas tebu terserang dengan luas serangan yang berbeda. Varietas tebu yang lebih sering terserang ialah PS 5051, KK, PS 882, PS 901 dan CM 0902. Selanjutnya tanaman ratoon lebih banyak terserang dibanding tanaman pertama. Petak-petak terserang di MT sebelumnya dapat terserang kembali meskipun dibongkar dan ditanami varietas berbeda. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mempelajari pengaruh konsentrasi NaOH pada isolasi selulosa ampas tebu dan karakteristik fisika-kimianya. Penelitian dilakukan pada variasi konsentrasi larutan NaOH 2%, 6% dan 10% dalam isolasi selulosa dari ampas tebu. Semua perlakuan dilakukan dengan 3 kali ulangan. Kenampakan fisik, rendemen, viskositas dan gugus fungsional selulosa hasil isolasi dilakukan analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar NaOH 2% menghasilkan rendemen dan viskositas paling tinggi berturut-turut sebesar 40,7% dan 28 cP. Penggunaan perangkap dengan umpan feromon seks sintetis telah banyak dilakukan dan berhasil menurunkan serangan penggerek di beberapa negara. Namun pemilihan perangkap berperan penting dalam keberhasilan pengendalian. Masing-masing ngengat penggerek memiliki preferensi yang berbeda terhadap jenis perangkap. Oleh karena itu percobaan dilakukan untuk mengamati preferensi ngengat penggerek pucuk dan penggerek batang bergaris terhadap 2 jenis perangkap yang sering digunakan di lapangan yaitu perangkap air (water trap) dan perangkap segitiga (delta trap). Penelitian menggunkaan 3 (tiga) varietas tebu yaitu BL, PSBM-901, dan PSDK-923 yang digiling (brix 18 – 20 %; tersaring), 5 (lima) formulasi (maltodekstrin, DE), homegenisasi 15.000 rpm, dan dialirkan ke spray drying (suhu inlet 140 – 185 oC; outlet 70 – 90 oC) sehingga didapatkan powder untuk dianalisis kandungan fitokimianya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen flavonoid dan fenolik powder nira tebu tertinggi adalah V4F3 dengan nilai 3.403,83 μg QE/g dan 1.031,51 11,31 mg GAE/g. Sedangkan untuk kandungan antosianinnya adalah V5F3 dengan nilai 1,091 0,22 mg/100g.
