Aesthetic elements are also closely related to the course of history and culture, therefore this article aims to introduce history and culture through the presence of aesthetic elements in a Peranakan house in Jamblang, Cirebon. Based on this, data collection techniques are needed through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and literature exploration. This qualitative research is also supported by a phenomenological approach because the concept is related to culture, space, and perception. The findings of this study reveal that the introduction of history and culture can be done by \"reading\" the embodiment of aesthetic elements, so that become an educational space. This knowledge and learning process is one way to maintain culture and maintain local culture as a national identity.Keywords: elements, aesthetic, houses, jamblang, culture. AbstrakElemen estetis seringkali dilihat sebagai hiasan yang dapat mempengaruhi persepsi, sehingga memperkaya kualitas bangunan atau ruang. Elemen estetis juga erat kaitannya dengan perjalanan sejarah dan budaya. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan sejarah maupun budaya melalui keberadaan elemen estetis pada rumah Peranakan di Jamblang, Cirebon. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, diperlukan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam serta eksplorasi literatur. Penelitian kualitatif ini juga didukung dengan pendekatan fenomenologi karena konsep tersebut berkaitan dengan budaya, ruang dan persepsi. Temuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pengenalan sejarah maupun budaya dapat dilakukan dengan “membaca” kewujudan elemen estetis sehingga menjadi ruang edukasi. CV Arya Wasa is a goods and service procurement company that has just been born but has considerable potential to develop. In tis study, CV Arya Wasa already has a logo and company values, but this is not enough to meet the criteria for a good corporate identity. This type of research uses a qualitative method with a development model with data collection techniques using interview techniques, field observation and literature studies both offline and online. The design method that uses is design thingking with the test method using SUS (System Usability System). The results of tests conducted on 25 respondents proved that the design of CV Arya Wasa’s corporate identity is acceptable, easy to implement and provides a good image for the company and its potential target market with an average value of 70,90 (above average).Keywords: logo, Arya Wasa, identity, company.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan corporate identity bagi CV Arya Wasa sebagai citra perusahaan. CV Arya Wasa merupakan perusahaan pengadaan barang dan jasa yang baru saja lahir namun memiliki potensi yang cukup besar untuk berkembang. CV Arya Wasa telah memiliki logo dan nilai-nilai perusahaan, namun belum cukup memenuhi kriteria corporate identity yang baik. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan model pengembangan dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi lapangan dan studi literatur secara offline maupun online. Metode perancangan yang digunakan yaitu design thinking dengan metode pengujian menggunakan SUS (System Usability System). In a narrow sense, some of us think that bushcraft is about adventure in the wild, or there are also those who think that this is the same as the science of survival in the wild. Indeed, some of these points of view are a bit close to the notion of bushcraft itself, both are related to survival in the wild, but there are differences. Bushcraft is more about using primitive tools made by hand as a medium for survival in the wild. This is one of the author's goals in the creation of this stone carving, using primitive human knowledge as a technique for survival. The method of creating this stone carving work is by elaboration and synthesis. Elaboration is an activity carried out by the author to find and collect the required data and work carefully. Then the data is analyzed in detail in the preparation process. Synthesis is a process of combining the results of the elaboration to be realized in a form of concept work. The creation of this work is an implementation of primitive culture as a way to survive. This stone carving later developed into a work of art that has aesthetic value in today's society. Not only as a form of survival in the wild, even bushcraft scholarship can also be a medium of survival in this era of globalization.Keyword : bushcraft, carving, stone. AbstrakIstilah Bushcraft sejauh ini masih banyak yang belum mengetahui secara detail, walaupun penggunaan bahasa ini sangat sering kita lihat dalam media sosial kita. Dalam makna sempitnya sebagian kita menganggap bushcraft ialah tentang berpetualang di alam liar, atau ada juga yang menganggap hal ini sama dengan keilmuan bertahan hidup di alam liar. Memang beberapa sudut pandang tersebut sedikit berdekatan dengan pengertian bushcraft itu sendiri, sama-sama berkaitan dengan bertahan hidup di alam liar, namun ada perbedaannya. Bushcraft lebih kepada penggunaan alat-alat primitif yang dibuat oleh tangan sebagai media untuk bertahan hidup di alam liar. Inilah salah satu tujuan penulis dalam penciptaan karya ukir batu ini, menggunakan keilmuan manusia primitif tersebut sebagai teknik untuk bertahan hidup. Metode penciptaan karya ukir batu ini adalah dengan elaborasi dan sintesis. Elaborasi merupakan kegiatan yang dilakukan penulis untuk mencari dan mengumpulkan data-data yang dibutuhkan serta pengerjaan karya dengan teliti. Kemudian data-data tersebut dianalisis secara rinci dalam proses persiapan. Sedangkan Sintesis merupakan suatu proses penggabungan hasil dari elaborasi untuk diwujudkan dalam sebuah bentuk konsep karya. Penciptaan karya ini merupakan   implementasi dari budaya primitif sebagai salah satu cara untuk bertahan hidup. Asyeik Niti Mahligai is performed on stage as a test by Bilian Saleh to reach the pinnacle of mysticism. The asyeik niti mahligai dance is being introduced to the public, especially the people of Kerinci, through the creation of this relief. Particularly important is the comprehension of the variations in the asyeik niti mahligai dance that is discussed in the work. The artist's version of the Asyeik Niti Mahligai  dance captures the spirit of the dance that Bilian Saleh did during the traditional procession. The second is created so that it can serve as a resource for other artists, for example, in the production of art that requires the shape of regional customs. Exploration, design, and embodiment were the strategies employed in the creation of this piece. The engraving and pressing process is employed. This two-dimensional piece uses metal reliefs to depict the procession of Bilian Saleh during the asyeik niti mahligai ceremony. Using the right-to-left reading technique, the reliefs are back in two pieces. Asyeik niti mahligai's creator relief ritual serves as a means of conserving local culture and making it accessible to future generations through artistic creations.Keywords: dance, asyeik, niti, mahligai, relief. AbstrakPenciptaan karya relief logam bersumber dari tahapan inti dalam ritual asyeik niti mahligai. Tahapan inti tersebut ialah tari asyeik niti mahligai sebagai ujian yang ditempuh bilian saleh sebagai puncak tertingi ilmu kebatinan. Tujuan penciptaan karya relief ini adalah memperkenalkan kepada masyarakat khususnya masyarakat Kerinci tentang tari asyeik niti mahligai, terutama pemahaman tentang perbedaan tari asyeik niti mahligai yang diangkat dalam karya. Tari yang angkat oleh pengkarya yaitu esensi tari asyeik niti mahligai yang dilaksanakan oleh bilian saleh pada prosesi ritual. Kedua yang diciptakan agar dapat menjadi acuan seniman lainya khususnya pada penciptaan seni rupa yang mengambil bentuk dari tradisi lokal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penciptaan karya ini ialah melalui tahapan eksplorasi, perancangan dan perwujudan. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu teknik ukir tatah dan tekan. Karya yang dihasilkan merupakan karya dua dimensi menguraikan prosesi pengangkatan bilian saleh dalam ritual asyeik niti mahligai dalam bentuk relief logam. Relief berjumlah dua karya dengan teknik membaca dari kanan ke kiri. The existence of regulation from the Regional Government of Gunung Kidul Regency regarding the use of batik uniforms for elementary, junior high, and high school / vocational schools has strengthened the existence of batik products and the sustainability of batik production by batik craftsmen in Gunungkidul. This research uses the qualitative descriptive method. The data collection method uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data validation by triangulation and data analysis used the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and creating conclusions. The results of this study explain that: (1) The existence of the Walang Jati Kencono batik motif, which has been designated as a school uniform in Gunungkidul Regency, has a very impact on social changes in the batik craftsmen, which increases and as the economy improves. (2) The policy of the Gunungkidul Regency government through the Regent's Regulation that raises the Walang Jati Kencono batik motif as a school uniform in the Gunungkidul area strongly supports economic progress and the existence of batik craftsmen in Gunungkidul. (3) The skills of batik makers in Gunungkidul as batik producers can meet the needs of the local market both from the official, school, and tourism sectors.Keywords: batik, walang jati kencono, gunungkidul. AbstrakPenelitian  ini  memiliki tujuan menjawab permasalahan dampak eksistensi motif batik Walang Jati Kencono terhadap perubahan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat dan pengrajin batik Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Adanya peraturan Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Gunung Kidul tentang penggunaan seragam batik bagi sekolah SD, SMP, SMA/SMK telah memperkuat eksistensi produk batik hasil dan keberlangsungan produksi batik oleh pengrajin batik di Gunungkidul. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Validasi data dengan triangulasi dan analisis data menggunakan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil  penelitian  ini  menjelaskan bahwa:  (1)  Eksistensi motif batik Walang Jati Kencono yang telah ditetapkan sebagai seragam sekolah di  Kabupaten Gunungkidul sangat memberikan dampak terhadap perubahan sosial jumlah pengrajin batik yang meningkat dan seiring dengan peningkatan ekonomi. (2) Kebijakan pemerintah Kabupaten Gunungkidul melalui Peraturan Bupati yang mengangkat batik motif Walang Jati Kencono sebagai seragam sekolah di wilayah Gunungkidul sangat mendukung kemajuan ekonomi dan eksistensi pengrajin batik di Gunungkidul. The traditional Lampung tribe is not only famous for its decorative ornaments, but the kain tapis which is very distinctive in terms of art. The Kain Tapis Ornament Kapal Fabric which is increasingly forgotten and has been eroded by the times. The design of this typeface aims to preserve and introduce to the public about kapal Ornaments from Lampung Tapis woven fabric through ethnic typefaces. This study uses a qualitative method with a creative thinking process pattern approach. Procedures for implementing and solving visual communication problems through initial understanding, preparation, incubation, explanation and verification. The stages in the typeface design research are carried out with the initial sketch design, then the digitization process. The results obtained from the research can be concluded that the design of the kapal ornament typeface is the typeface resulting from the Lampung kapal ornament stylization, booklets, posters, signage, flayers, digital media, t-shirts, totebags and mugs are the media used in designing typefaces.Keywords: ornament, kapal, tapis, Lampung, typeface.AbstrakWarisan budaya Sumatera sangat beragam dan unik, salah satu budaya tertuanya ialah budaya Lampung. Suku tradisional Lampung tidak hanya terkenal dengan ornamen hiasnya saja, akan tetapi kain Tapis yang sangat khas dari segi seninya. Kain Tapis Ornamen Kapal yang kian terlupakan dan telah terkikis oleh perkembangan zaman. Perancangan jenis huruf ini bertujuan untuk melestarikan dan memperkenalkan kepada masyarakat tentang Ornamen Kapal dari kain tenun Tapis Lampung melalui typeface etnik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan pola proses berpikir kreatif (Creative Thingking Process). Tata cara penerapan dan penyelesaian masalah komunikasi visual melalui pemahaman awal, persiapan, inkubasi, penjelasan dan verifikasi. Dengan perkembangan zaman yang semakin pesat, masyarakat mulai meninggalkan budaya khas Karo, sehingga penting untuk melihat kembali budaya tradisional agar nilai-nilai leluhur tidak hilang begitu saja. This spectacle has become a model for campaign media design that has appeal, like the animated music video “Sabda Alam” by students of SMK Raden Umar Said Kudus, which won appreciation at the 2021 Balinale International Film Festival. “Sabda Alam” tells the story of the lives of birds endemic typical of Indonesia which is increasingly rare. This media campaign indirectly supports the Ministry of Environment's program to socialize the importance of protecting the rich diversity of wild birds in Indonesia. This spectacle is interesting to study because it conveys a message by relying on the power of images in visual space. This research aims to show the relationship of visual elements in visual space as meaningful entities. The research method is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of literature studies, observations, and interviews. While the data analysis technique uses image composition analysis into the rule of three imaginary grids, both vertically and horizontally. The results show that \"Sabda Alam\" prioritizes visual spatial framing, middle framing and full framing to convey messages about threats to protected wild birds. This research is expected to be a reference for knowledge about the function of images in the framing of visual space that is able to provide information and education, as an art of conveying campaign messages in entertaining and attention-grabbing ways. Keywords: visual space, music video, animation.  AbstrakVideo musik animasi merupakan bentuk desain media audio visual yang mempresentasikan materi informasi melalui narasi ilustratif dengan iringan lagu. Tontonan ini dapat menjadi model desain media kampanye yang memiliki daya tarik, sebagaimana video musik animasi berjudul “Sabda Alam”  karya para siswa SMK Raden Umar Said Kudus, yang telah berhasil memperoleh apresiasi di  Balinale International Film Festival 2021. Sabda Alam berkisah tentang kehidupan burung-burung endemik khas Indonesia yang semakin langka.  Video musik animasi ini  secara tidak langsung ikut mendukung program Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup untuk mensosialisasikan  pentingnya  perlindungan terhadap keragaman burung liar sebagai kekayaan fauna di Indonesia. Tontonan ini  menarik untuk dikaji karena menyampaikan pesan dengan mengandalkan kekuatan gambar pada ruang visual. Penelitian ini bertujuan menunjukkan relasi unsur-unsur visual di dalam ruang visual sebagai entitas bermakna. Metode penelitian secara kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur, observasi, dan wawancara. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis  komposisi gambar ke dalam aturan per tiga grid imajiner, baik secara vertikal maupun horizontal. Mural yang akan di buat adalah mural gambar karakter yang sesuai dengan usia anak-anak PAUD. Metode dalam pembuatan mural ini adalah melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu: tahap pra-perancangan, tahap perancangan, tahap perwujudan dan penyajian. Hasil yang diperoleh nantinya berupa karya mural tentang konsep luar angkasa, karakter binatang, gambar kartun dan karakter daun. He told how the process of batik motifs derived from the natural plants and the sea which became the source of Batam batik motif ideas. This research aims to find out; 1. What is the shape of the plant and marine batik motifs that are the identity of the Batam Malay ethnicity. This research is a qualitative description using participant observation methods, interviews, and literature studies. Batik Batam motifs have three functions, namely: physical function, personal function, and social function. The three functions are interrelated with nature, the personal individual, and the social life of the local community. The results of the study said that the identity of the Batam batik motif was born through the idea of cultural artists in creating batik craft art based on local wisdom.Keywords: batik, identity, Batam malay ethnic. AbstrakPenelitian ini berawal dari kisah pengalaman Sugeng seorang pengrajin seni kriya Batam sering mendapat pertanyaan dari teman-teman wisatawan nasional dan internasional. Ia bercerita bagaimana proses motif-motif batik berasal dari alam tumbuhan dan bahari yang menjadi sumber ide motif batik Batam. Penelitian ini, bertujuan mengetahui; 1. Bagaimana bentuk motif batik tumbuhan dan bahari yang menjadi identitas etnis Melayu Batam. Penelitian ini deskripsi kualitatif menggunakan metode partisipan observan, wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan. Motif-motif Batik Batam mempunyai tiga fungsi, yaitu: fungsi fisik, fungsi personal, dan fungsi sosial. Ketiga fungsi itu saling berkaitan dengan alam, individu personal, dan kehidupan sosial masyarakat setempat.
