Cluster wireless sensor networks enable the sensors within the cluster to select the most appropriate node at a given moment for long-distance transmission (Cluster Head) and use it to communicate with the base station. This paper proposes the use of the Traffic Flow Description option for the IP protocol to improve the selection of Cluster Heads. The simulation results showed that the benefits of using TFD-assisted selection of Cluster Heads outweigh the costs of having to transmit additional signaling information using the TFD option.","PeriodicalId":403546,"journal":{"name":"2022 27th Asia Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126359111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These cities are capable of relaying real-time information about the world which can then be used to improve the Qualify of Life (QoL). However, due to the unprecedented access to the city and personal data by smart city applications, there is an increase in both security and privacy threat. In this study, we propose a stacked generalization machine learning algorithm for the detection of cyberattacks in a smart city. We propose a computationally efficient resource allocation method for an interference limited IST network, by considering that the objective function and the constraints of the conventional resource allocation method had a steep slope which hindered the optimal solution search. A new objective function is proposed to solve the problems of the conventional schemes. The simulation results evaluated using sequential quadratic programming reveal that the proposed resource allocation method provides improved allocation performance as well as computational efficiency, compared to the existing methods.","PeriodicalId":403546,"journal":{"name":"2022 27th Asia Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC)","volume":"52 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114028910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically, by implementing the transceiver using a convolutional autoencoder, our work allows higher-order modulation transmission over one-bit fading channel without pilots. Transfer learning from previously trained blocks over simple noisy channel is used to minimize the probability of bit error and outperforms the convolutional autoencoder at low oversampling rates. The biterror-rate gain offered at 20dB SNR by the transfer learning is seen to be as high as half of one order at low oversampling rates and to saturate as oversampling rate increases. Furthermore, by allowing explicit phase synchronization, the autoencoder-based transceiver with partial channel matching is able to approach unquantized performance with 4dB gap in Rayleigh fading environment.","PeriodicalId":403546,"journal":{"name":"2022 27th Asia Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121021294","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, most of the existing works do not consider thread scheduling, which can achieve the parallelism of multiple threads in the practical distributed DNN inference system. To address this issue, we discuss the thread scheduling of the computing units participating in offloading in this paper, considering a single-core Central Processing Unit (CPU) and the Round Robin Scheduling (RRS). We deduce the relationship between the blocking of DNN inference-related threads and the Average Task Delay (ATD) and prove that an appropriate buffer setting can reduce blocking times. Theoretical analysis verifies that the buffering mechanism (DBM) can reduce the ATD significantly, and experimental results demonstrate that the DBM-improved DNN offloading can achieve a delay reduction of 14%-71%.","PeriodicalId":403546,"journal":{"name":"2022 27th Asia Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC)","volume":"188 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129209593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, plastic and infectious waste production have drastically increased, which requires prompt and proper ways of management. In this paper, we apply spatial Information Technology and a community-based sourcing method to establish a framework and a web application for visualizing the positions of all types of waste containers in Saensuk, a tourist town. The study aims to optimize the allocation coverage of infectious waste containers and pickup routes. The experiment shows that 19 current infection waste containers cover only 27.69% of all area. The extensive connectivity and the vast amount of data exchange in the SDN-based industrial CPS environment make it vulnerable to cyberattacks. Furthermore, an SDN controller is a single attractive target for an attack. It is challenging when the SDN controller manages DL-based high-complexity intrusion detection in an IIoT network with low latency requirements to identify and prevent attacks. This study proposes a lightweight intrusion detection model in an SDN-based industrial CPS environment. The proposed model was evaluated using a recent publicly SDN-related cyber-security InSDN dataset. The experimental results show that the proposed model outperforms the state-of-the-art by achieving 98.95% accuracy, 99.00% precision, 98.91% recall, and a 0.164 ms time cost when using the LightGBM feature selection technique.","PeriodicalId":403546,"journal":{"name":"2022 27th Asia Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115456838","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
