A delay bandwidth product value is calculated by comparing the arced PhCW with a straight PhCW. It’s seen that the arced PhCW offers a very simple method to slow down the light speed with a bandwidth of 294 THz and a delay bandwidth product of 32.34. An average group index equals to 13 is demonstrated which yield to 110 fs delay time for a device footprint of 14 x 19 µm 2 . The signal shape is notably maintained constant over the proposed delay line. Furthermore, the suggested device is characterized by a small dispersion which leads to a slight group-velocity dispersion.","PeriodicalId":403546,"journal":{"name":"2022 27th Asia Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131134916","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One promising approach to address this problem is equalizing the non-flat frequency response in a transmitter. This paper proposes a novel sub-THz transmitter configuration that has a feedback route for calculating the inverse frequency response and multiplying it with a transmission signal in the frequency region. To confirm the feasibility of the proposed configuration, the transmission quality in the proposed configuration is measured and evaluated. Experimental results confirm that the proposed configuration improves the error vector magnitude value by 12 dB at 8 Gbaud.","PeriodicalId":403546,"journal":{"name":"2022 27th Asia Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123390054","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes a new hybrid optimization algorithm to optimize feature selection for a Deep Neural Network (DNN) classifier. To surpass the premature convergence problem and improve the exploitation ability of the original Black Widow Optimization Algorithm (BWO), we mix a modified version of BWO and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), called MBWPSO. The aim is to enhance the performance of a blind spectrum sensing approach in the context of cognitive radio (CR) for wireless communications. Computer simulations show that the MBWPSO algorithm outperforms the original one and a set of state-of-the-art algorithms (i.e., HS, BBO, PSO, and SA) algorithms. Devices with a Wi-Fi interface use the wireless network for convenient connection. Wireless networks face a variety of security threats, such as mac spoofing, rogue twins, DDoS attack and sniffing. We propose a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) paradigm to supplement enterprise wireless network control and to enhance security. ZTA can protect enterprise network resources by authorizing only authenticated users and devices to access enterprise services. ZTA in this paper is implemented within Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) enterprise network environment and is named wireless-ZTA. After analyzing the implementation performance, it conducts a DDoS attack to prove a stealth enterprise service invisible to malicious adversaries. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed Wireless-ZTA, additional analysis such as a network blacken test that cannot be accessed except for authorized services was performed. This analysis leads to conclusions, along with insights into the future of ZTA in enterprise wireless networks.","PeriodicalId":403546,"journal":{"name":"2022 27th Asia Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116711491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Typically, data are transferred in an end-to-end (E2E) manner. However, bulk data, tight transfer deadline and bandwidth fragmentation make such transfers extremely difficult. In this paper, we incorporate multi-path routing and storage on EC nodes into the data transfer, and present an edge-storage-aided multi-path scheduling method (ESMP) for inter-ECN transfers across the EC-enabled optical metro network. ESMP splits the data into chunks and schedules them across link-disjoint routing paths with the help of EC storage. Specifically, within the same deadline for the whole data, a chunk can tolerate longer storing delay and hence can be temporarily stored on an intermediate EC node when its next hop is busy. As a result, a routing path can be split into time-independent sub-paths when the E2E provisioning fails. This improves both the throughput and the flexibility of each transfer. Besides, ESMP can dynamically adapt multi-path routing to balance the completion time and the bandwidth usage based on the current network state. Studies show that compared with the existing scheduling methods, ESMP can accommodate more transfers while reducing the completion time.","PeriodicalId":403546,"journal":{"name":"2022 27th Asia Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124836844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first step for implementing the STIN is to make the satellite network capable of supporting advanced functions that the terrestrial counterpart is providing. In this paper, network virtualization with network slices, which is actively studied in the terrestrial network, is analyzed for the satellite network. The main difference between satellite and terrestrial networks is the mobility of satellites. Since the slice services require end-to-end connectivity, the satellite network topology change due to the mobility of satellites can give a huge impact to the slices. The latency is analyzed with time-varying satellite topology with an assumption that the virtual network resource for slice is reserved for low latency. For simulations, the minimum number of handovers is assumed and the end-to-end latency is analyzed for its initial latency, average latency, minimum latency, and maximum latency during the service time of slices in the satellite network.","PeriodicalId":403546,"journal":{"name":"2022 27th Asia Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124793093","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
