The activity of maintenance, it constitutes a determinantfactor that guarantees the satisfactory operation of the transport during the useful life of the ways; in his differentmodalities. The absence of a preventive maintenance and of a corrective late maintenance, it drives to that therealized investment suffers a more intensive depreciation, shortening his useful life; obtaining a degree of minorutilization that is translated in a decrease of the estimated benefits, since the profitability will not be able to be idealon having neglected this function. Often, vehicle operating costs, exceed the costs of road departments by a factor of 10 or more, especially in high-volume road traffic. (Zaniewski, 1989). Therefore, The cost (economics) of usersshould be taken into account when designing the construction of a road. For this reason, the Government ofNicaragua, in conjuction with the relevant institutions have assumed a primary role in the implementation andmaintenance of the road network. {"title":"Oportunidades de energía renovable en Nicaragua para el desarrollo sostenible","authors":"M. Nicaragua tiene un enormepotencial en recursos naturales para la produccion de energia renovable. Actualmente, el sector energetico siguedependiendo en gran medida de los combustibles fosiles, pero el plan del gobierno es hacer que el pais ira avanzar haciael 94% de energia renovable para el 2017. Principal objetivo de este trabajo fue realizar una evaluacion de los recursosenergeticos renovables de Nicaragua, junto con la descripcion de las politicas gubernamentales y de desarrolloeconomico. En segundo lugar describir algunos recursos energeticos estrategicos en los que proyectos de fortalecimientopueden conducir al desarrollo local. La investigacion se ha desarrollada en Nicaragua, donde entrevistas, conferencias yvisita a las plantas de energia fueron organizadas gracias a la contribucion de la UNI. El analisis del mercado energeticorevelo un gran potencial de energia hidraulica, geotermica y eolica. En particular, el sector de la pequena energiahidroelectrica ofrece buenas perspectivas de desarrollo, sobre todo en aquellas areas donde no llega la red nacional, comola Costa Caribe. Se identifico centrales hidroelectricas en el rango de 100 kW y 5 MW como la alternativa tecnologicapara satisfacer la demanda de electricidad de las zonas rurales sin acceso. La abundancia de agua disponible, los esfuerzospoliticos hacia las tecnologias respetuosas con el medio ambiente y la motivacion de la gente dieron un fondo prometedorpara un desarrollo energetico sostenible de la region. Indeed, it tries to predict the exact state of the system at any time with the purpose of identifying the activities of the machine system, and find the field efficiencies of the system, and labor efficiency. Furthermore, conduct an analysis of the cycle times in real-time. This study helped to find in practice, at a pilot level, the field efficiencies; labor efficiency, and the machines performance. La presente investigacion tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto de diferentes grosores de mulch menores o iguales a 10 cm en el control del crecimiento del coyolillo (Cyperus Rotundus) en el cultivo de maiz. \u0000 \u0000Se uso un diseno de bloques al azar con cinco tratamientos y tres repeticiones; las variables evaluadas fueron: numero de plantas de coyolillo en 1 m2, altura de la planta de coyolillo, diametro de la mazorca de maiz, longitud de la mazorca, numero de granos por hilera, numero de hileras por mazorca y rendimiento. \u0000 \u0000Los resultados muestran que con los tratamientos de mulch de 8 y 10 cm. se da un control efectivo del coyolillo (Cyperus Rotondus). Este estudio se realizo para determinar el efecto del proceso de parafinado en la conservacion de la calidad de las raices de yuca. Esto incluye calidad morfologica, calidad fisiologica, calidad culinaria y deterioro microbiano. \u0000 \u0000Las raices provienen de distintas areas de cultivo y fueron cosechadas en diferentes periodos de tiempo. Se ensayo su conservacion utilizando una tecnologia para parafinado de bajo costo. Durante los veintiun dias de estudio para cada lote de raices sometidas a parafinado, se muestran buenos niveles de conservacion de sus caracteristicas fisiologicas y culinarias. La planta se diseno siguiendo la metodologia expuesta por FESTO Didactic e implementa el proceso de llenado, calentado, presurizacion, descompresion y descarga de un tanque con agua, de forma automatica. Cuenta con un sistema de seguridad (sistema centinela) que lleva a cabo funciones de control sobre las variables criticas del proceso y un sistema SCADA implementado bajo la plataforma LabVIEWTM. La planta piloto facilita la adquisicion de conocimientos en: programacion grafica para aplicaciones industriales, instrumentacion industrial y modelaje de procesos. Familiariza a los estudiantes con las normas, metodologias y terminologias utilizadas en el ambiente industrial.
