However, little is known about how programming affects other aspects of life beyond the acquired programming skills. In this regard, this paper summarizes the work done in the school San Diego and San Vicente (Madrid, Spain) during the third quarter of the year 2013/2014, where we conducted a study with four groups of students in 4th and 5th grade to measure to what extent the use of computer programming in English classes can be an interesting educational tool with a positive impact on the learning otucome of the students. The results show that the groups working with programming activities improved more than the groups using traditional resources. Therefore, a huge challenge is the generation of a necessary and relevant assessment content. The existing efforts to realize open source learning materials and establishment of massive open online courses introduce another challenge for realization of a sophisticated system and appropriate knowledge database with huge number of questions reflecting all relevant knowledge items (learning objectives). In this paper we present the experience in realization of a real e-Testing system by building two variations: the first with standard graphical interface, and the other with an enhanced media interaction supporting interactive images. We present several question generation strategies for conventional approach using multiple-choice questions and also for the system with interactive images. Due to the well compliance, we analyzed current implementations of playful learning and their design regarding the mediation of required soft skills. The analysis for this method is done and the results are compared with the common method of submitting the assignments i.e. written submission. Mobile Crowd Sensing (MCS) is one of them. In MCS, mobiles act as data sources for monitoring tasks (e.g., traffic planning, air pollution monitoring, emergency management), thanks to their computational capability and their embedded sensors. From a pedagogical perspective, MCS offers continuous learning experiences that increases students' skills and expertise by engaging them directly into practical activities and on-the-field analyses. However, the wide diffusion of mobiles requires a reliable wireless coverage, to guarantee proper Quality of Service levels, thus potentially increasing the electromagnetic field levels in a given geographical area. Therefore, we propose a complete data warehouse solution that exploits MCS paradigm to pursue three main research purposes. Firstly, motivating students from engineering courses to acquire a better knowledge in wireless communication topics by offering them experiential and collaborative learning approaches. Secondly, performing a preliminary screening of the signals received by mobiles for 3G/4G standards (e.g., UMTS, LTE), since this domain did not benefit from MCS solutions so far. Thirdly, identifying prospective areas where more detailed measuring campaigns must be addressed. A deep analysis of the achievable pedagogical benefits as well as the thorough description of both design and implementation phases is provided. In this paper, an investigation was conducted to assess engineering students' attitude towards socio-ethical issues and attainment of the objectives of ethical education which they learned through engineering ethics subject that is taught in the engineering programme. A mixed method evaluation was administered to 50 final-year students who pursuing their electrical-electronics and telecommunications engineering programmes from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia. All participants were in their final semesters before graduation. The findings of this study also showed that the students' attitudes towards socio-ethical issues related to engineering are low due to less emphasis being put forward by faculty of this study on the socio-ethical issues in the undergraduate engineering programme. It is clear that the socio-ethical education was not effective enough to achieve its objectives in producing socio responsible engineers. The platform is a key component of the ongoing EU funded TEMPUS project ENGENSEC. The project is aiming at providing courses and training material to educate future generation of Cyber security experts. Our project is based on the educational Framework; Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate (CDIO1). The paper outlines the background of earlier efforts on similar platforms in Sweden and Latvia. In the paper we also compares our approach with lessons learned in international projects such as PlanetLab, EmuLab, and GENI. Our approach of Cloud based environments is based on recent advanced in distributed computing such as OpenStack. Some identified and addressed challenges care presented. We also present the architecture of ReSeLa as well as its basic functionalities.
