As the concept of divergence measure is more restrictive, it has particular properties which are studied. Furthermore, the relationships among IF-divergences, dissimilarities and distances are studied. We also provide some methods for building divergence measure for IFSs. They will allow us to conclude this work with a classification of the usual functions used in the literature for measuring the dierence between intuitionistic fuzzy sets in two classes: which are divergence measures between IFSs and which are not.","PeriodicalId":403191,"journal":{"name":"EUSFLAT Conf.","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114487220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These integrals are intended for the modeling of type ⟨1, 1⟩ fuzzy quantifiers. An interesting theoretical question is, how to introduce various notions of convergence of this type of fuzzy integrals. In this contribution, we would like to present some results on strong and pointwise convergence of these fuzzy integrals, where the operation of the biresiduum is used to establish the measurement how close two elements of a residuated lattice are.","PeriodicalId":403191,"journal":{"name":"EUSFLAT Conf.","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114863723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Closing and opening operators and the concepts of open and closed objects are introduced. All the properties satisfied by nilpotent t-norms, even the generalized idempotence, hold too. After that, some experimental results, using comparative measures, on edge detection are showed. Some experimental results concerning the Top-Hat transformations and the basic filters built from the opening and closing operators are presented. Top-Hat experiments are compared with those obtained with the umbra approach, nilpotent t-norms and uninorms, proving that the discrete approach provides notable results. Moreover, different objective measures are used in order to evaluate the filtered results depending on the amount of noise in the image.","PeriodicalId":403191,"journal":{"name":"EUSFLAT Conf.","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115044090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The incremental model adaptation process used to evolve such models over time, often produces redundancies such as overlapping rule antecedents. We propose the use of a fuzzy inclusion measure in order to detect such redundancies as well as a procedure for merging rules that are suciently similar. Experimental studies with two high-dimensional real-world data sets provide evidence for the eectiveness of our approach; it turns out that a reduction in complexity is even accompanied by an increase in predictive accuracy.","PeriodicalId":403191,"journal":{"name":"EUSFLAT Conf.","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125578320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach generalizes the wellknown Lovasz and Owen extensions of fuzzy measures.
