The article studied the geography of health resorts in the Crimea and analyzed the problems of optimizing the functioning of the sanatorium-resort institutions of the Crimea on the example of the sanatorium \"Poltava-Crimea\" in Saki. Based on the analysis, it was possible to come to the conclusion that the activity of the sanatorium is not organized effectively enough. The text of the article reflects the current state, consequences and possible prospects for the development of Russian tourism due to the existing restrictions caused by the current geopolitical crisis. The author studied the situation that has developed in Russian tourism as a result of the conflict at the level of both international and domestic tourism. The dynamics shows statistical tourism indicators that determine the growth and regression of domestic tourism in recent years.
