Great attention is paid to the problems of location management. Current research on location management focuses on algorithms in which location update procedures can be adjusted dynamically. In this article we mainly focus on discussion of location update model which combines two well-known location update models. On that ground we propose the solution of how this model can be supplemented in order to satisfy three main criteria: the character of location based services, mobility of moving objects and query rate of the service users.","PeriodicalId":392003,"journal":{"name":"27th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2005.","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117264167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Today most of Croatian enterprises are not able to fulfil those obligations. Usually, enterprises have inappropriate planning, scheduling and launching models. The paper shows structure of Croatian Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) that is developed for single and batches production and place of artificial intelligence technologies in development of new generation of EPR system. Through the application of 3-tournament steady-state selection genetic algorithm scheduling process can be improved and plan variants can be achieved according to cost, time or both. At the beginning were only some planning techniques such as line charts, line of balance, organisational appliances. The computer era began the first computer programs so called informational islands. These programs solved only particular problems like problems connected with accounting, bookkeeping or employees.","PeriodicalId":392003,"journal":{"name":"27th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2005.","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130644640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, heterogeneous multiple channels often occur in practice and here the channels have different service times. It is therefore useful to be able to calculate the performance measures of such systems. We shall take an exact analytical model of the asymmetric data network node and assume that the arrival process is Poisson of two priority flows with different rates and two channels with different service times distributed exponentially and in case with determine service time. In symmetric queuing systems, the response time depends only on whether an arrival message finds some free channel. An asymmetric multiple channel system differs since which of the channels processes the message. It is very important to take analysis of different strategies for selecting a free channel. In a system with heavy traffic there is usually all channels are occupied and therefore a channel selection strategy is not so efficient. The transmission order is from high-priority packet to low-priority packet. Two priority packets queues share a limited size single buffer. The each priority packet is dropped if the queue length exceeds a capacity of buffer. Network node performance measures such as packet losses, packet delay, channel utilization are evaluated by means of analytical and simulation models. Some calculated system performance measures results are presented in figures.","PeriodicalId":392003,"journal":{"name":"27th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2005.","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132895784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The methodology of this method, together with use of digital computer, showed its efficiency in practice as very suitable means for solving the problems of management, of behavior, of sensibility, of flexibility of behavior dynamics of very complex systems. All this is made by computer simulating, i.e. “in laboratory”, which mean without any danger for observed realities. The paper deals with dynamic analysis of automatic ship steering gear systems utilizing complex controls that function according to the principle of proportional, integral and derivation regulators. The analysis involves a system dynamic simulation modeling methodology as one of the most suitable and effective means of dynamic modeling of complex non-linear, natural, organizational and technical systems. The paper discusses system dynamics simulation models being used in qualitative (mental-verbal, structural) and quantitative (mathematical and computer) simulation models on ships equipped with trailing steering systems and PID regulator. Authors suggest using the presented models for designing and constructing new steering systems, for diagnosing existing constructions and for education in Universities.","PeriodicalId":392003,"journal":{"name":"27th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2005.","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114231462","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
