Realising these models by software, the problem arises to create such mathematical description of the system that would be not complicated to understand for a software developer. Our suggested model is simpler and it lets simulate the system using four surjections (or surjective maps). The experience showed that the convolution of Moore and Mealy automata is very suitable for describing the aggregates. The description of telecommunication system using Moore and Mealy automata is presented.","PeriodicalId":392003,"journal":{"name":"27th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2005.","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125088775","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Technologies enabling device-independent presentation and new interaction modalities like voice or gesture are moving from research to commercially available products. As a result, designers are faced with the increasing challenge of providing user interfaces that match the capabilities of the different devices available on the market. Within this paper we present a research project that has investigated multimodal interaction on mobile devices. In particular, we focus on the topic of user involvement. We present a new experimental framework that we used to aid us in the design and evaluation of our multimodal applications.","PeriodicalId":392003,"journal":{"name":"27th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2005.","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130907952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the case of large project databases with data coming from heterogeneous sources, a sin- gle mathematical model cannot properly capture the diverse nature of the projects under consider- ation. In this paper, a clustering algorithm have been used as a tool to produce segmented models. A concrete case study using a modified EM algo- rithm is reported. In cases in which the cluster- ing algorithm produces an statistical characteri- zation of each of the resulting clusters, as happens with the EM algorithm, such representations can be used as similarity metrics to derive analogical estimates. This can be put in contrast with de- riving partial parametric models for each cluster. The paper also provides a comparison of quality of adjustment of both approaches.","PeriodicalId":392003,"journal":{"name":"27th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2005.","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125848457","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a method for automatically identifying a set of underlying factors in a given data set. This rapidly evolving technique is currently finding applications in several fields of interest and it is a tempting alternative to try ICA on financial data. In this article we discuss the application of ICA to multivariate financial time series such as a portfolio of stock prices. The key idea here is to linearly map the observed multivariate time series into a new space of statistically independent components (ICs) that might reveal some driving mechanisms that otherwise remain hidden. A discussion of the method with respect to Principal Component Analysis is also considered.","PeriodicalId":392003,"journal":{"name":"27th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2005.","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128204882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this paper is to present a domain specic language construction with extending the open compilers.
