The proposed method includes two stages; the first is used to detect or estimate the chirp rate of the linear frequency modulation signal, and the second one is used to estimate the pulse width of this signal. In the first part of the paper, the accuracy of the method is studied by simulation a linear frequency modulation signal in the MATLAB environment to determine the lowest value of SNR, at which this technique is still able to detect and estimate the parameters of this signal. Based on the simulation results, a real-time signal is used to verify its functionality in the second part of this paper. The experimental results confirm that the proposed method can detect and estimate the parameters of linear frequency modulation signal under jamming conditions by continuous-wave signals and white Gaussian noise at the value of SNR > −7 dB.","PeriodicalId":388547,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129797163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed LNA uses a squeezed-inverter amplifier (SQI), powered by a 0.2 V supply, to address the main noise source at the input stage to achieve high power efficiency. The proposed LNA is designed in a 180-nm CMOS process. The post-simulation results show that the LNA achieves an input-referred noise of 0.9 μVrms over a bandwidth of 1 kHz. The proposed architecture consumes a power of only 0.47 μW, with a noise efficiency factor (NEF) of 1.47 and a power efficient factor (PEF) of 0.55 over a frequency bandwidth of 10 kHz. The closed-loop gain of the LNA is about 40 dB with a bandwidth of 200 Hz to 10 kHz.","PeriodicalId":388547,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129477458","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different kinds of sensors are used for 3D map reconstruction, such as: LIDAR, radar and cameras. However, 3D obstacle map reconstruction from UAVs has been still a challenging task due to the limitation of on-board computational resources. With the development of wireless streaming technologies, a cloud-based solution for visual map reconstruction would solve the issue. A collaborative aerial-ground system for visual map reconstruction using wireless streaming includes several drones and a fixed or mobile ground station. Images are taken from equipped cameras on the UAV while being streamed to a ground station through a high-speed wireless link, such as: WiFi or the mobile network (4G, 5G). The map is then quickly reconstructed from the images by means of a very strong computer, and the output obstacles map is then sent back to the UAV for navigation tasks. In this paper, we propose and implement a cloud-based visual map reconstruction for UAV navigation with a WiFi link. The system worked well for both indoor and outdoor experiments with achieved transfer times per image of less than 0.29 s and a total 3D reconstruction time of less than 205 s for 87 images with a resolution of 1920x1080 px.","PeriodicalId":388547,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131506279","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An edge network’s state varies over time; nodes might fail, and the system can be altered by parametric or structural changes. These possible events may be quantified using two metrics: survivability and resilience. The T1A1.2 definition is utilized for survival, and the Laprie and Simoncini’s definitions are used for resiliency. The edge network will be modeled using a three-tier hierarchical model, which will make use of continuous-time Markov chains and fault trees. This study can help investigate the impact of configuration alternation on the edge network of practical medical information systems.","PeriodicalId":388547,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122237283","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The reflectarray is designed to be manufactured using a dielectric material characterized by a high relative dielectric constant: this choice drastically decreases the RA thickness, favouring its flexibility and therefore its possibility to be bent to a curved surface. Results on the numerical analysis of medium-size RAs conformal to cylinder with different radius show that the decrease of the antennas performance is kept down over a wide range of variation for the curvature radius, confirming their feasibility and their potentialities.","PeriodicalId":388547,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125676427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The nodes are only floating and drifting with the sea stream. The UAV will be operating as a data mule to gather sensing information from wireless sensor nodes. Unlike prior studies, this paper addressed a realistic ocean model for the nodes movements which will be the references to the Kalman Filter (KF) in estimating for the nodes’ positions. Simulation results are evaluated for an optimal flight-able path for the UAV under several constraints by particle swarm optimization (PSO). Specifically, the deviation between the estimated positions and the referenced positions, total energy consumption by the sensors network, data rates between UAV and the nodes, flight time for the UAV, and frequency of visiting the nodes by the UAV will be considered for optimization. The systems performances will be evaluated based on these scenarios: a) an ideal and unrealistic scenario where the UAV follows the nodes continuously; b) a realistic case where the UAV only flies periodically. Discussions and solutions were also addressed for the situations when the deployed nodes are more significantly separated than the cases simulated in the paper.","PeriodicalId":388547,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126320754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, in order to remove the effect of background, we build a hand detection module based on YOLO network then apply this module in RGB images. Then, depth information of detected hand regions is employed to construct point clouds. Finally, a local structure aware model named SplitPointnet which consists of six PointNet++ models is proposed to simultaneously estimate joints in five fingers and the thumb region. The system consists of an electronic stethoscope device, smartphone, and a server. The smartphone captures lung sound through the electronic stethoscope device and sends data to the server for diagnosis. We propose a three-stage processing algorithm for lung sound classification. The first stage is feature extraction, in which lung sound recordings are processed by using Gammatone-filter bands. Secondly, all the extracted files are divided into training and testing groups; then, data augmentation and mixing up steps are executed. At last, these data are fed in VGG-12 architecture which is attached with an attention mechanism named Convolution Block Attention Module (CBAM). The results show that the integration of the attention mechanism into the VGG-12 network brings a marked improvement in ICBHI score at least 6% compared to VGG-7 and VGG-12. The proposed algorithm is successfully imported to the diagnostic system for respiratory diseases.","PeriodicalId":388547,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127754093","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To extend the lifetime of MMCs, this paper proposes a decentralized loss balancing control strategy for the MMC in combination with the decentralized self-aligned phase-shifted pulse width modulation (PWM) (self-aligned carriers) and capacitor voltage balancing method. This loss balancing approach, which is integrated into the capacitor voltage balancing, is proposed to control the loss distribution of the SMs by adjusting the capacitor voltage reference. The key approach is that each SM local controller regulates its own voltage and loss distribution by utilizing information from itself and adjacent SM controllers. Simulation results demonstrate the viability of the proposed control scheme in association with self-aligned phase-shifted carriers.","PeriodicalId":388547,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127610450","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While modern hybrid recommendation systems require an immense amount of data, several existing online privacy issues make users skeptical about sharing their personal information with service providers. This work introduces various novel methods utilizing the baseline estimate to learn user interests from their interactions. Subsequently, synthetic user feature vectors are implemented to estimate the user-item correlations, providing an additional fine-tuning factor for neighborhood-based collaborative filtering systems. Comprehensive experiments show that utilizing the user-item similarity can boost the accuracy of hybrid neighborhood-based systems by at least 2.11% while minimizing the need for tracking users’ digital footprints.","PeriodicalId":388547,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"2012 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131736023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
