Similarly, Thailand's Ministry of Education has emphasized computational skill education at all grade levels. Conclusions about how to improve the educational process in schools and plans for giving students the skills they need for the twenty-first century. Since the beginning of primary school, the introduction of programming has been a crucial stage in this approach. One of the languages taught in schools is Python. Most of them teach only in the form of programming. But it is rare to be used in conjunction with concrete hardware. Therefore, the researcher proposed a novel approach to teaching and learning through robotic learning materials, using the MicroPython language to develop learning through a competitive robot maze game. This pilot study is a quasi-experimental research. The experimental group comprises individuals interested in learning MicroPython and possess basic computer programming knowledge, but they have not previously studied MicroPython. Due to equipment limitations, the experimental group is limited to thirty participants from secondary schools in the north. The students who join this program study for five weeks on holidays as after-school activities. Testing consists of a pre-test and post-test and mission points from the competition in the robotic maze game. The result of learning in this way is that students can perform better academically. As part of a competition, they made an educational game about the robotic maze. The game for the competition was made as part of a MicroPython learning package for high school and college students. The Robotic Maze Approach with competition games has been utilized successfully to enhance learning.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"32 1","pages":"138-142"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87920237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Each sample of parameter states (called particle) is randomly drawn, so their likelihoods can be different from each other and particle degeneracy may happen. Resampling eliminates the particles that have low likelihoods and replicates those having high likelihoods. Particle impoverishment is a side-effect where particle diversity is destroyed and all of these particles are likely to have low likelihoods, especially if the true state abnormally evolves. This paper proposes an adaptive scheme that relocates the particles when they are located far away from the maximum likelihood value to mitigate the particle impoverishment. The proposed scheme provides satisfactory effectiveness in discovering the abruptly changing hidden states and satisfactory estimation accuracy.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"53 1","pages":"302-307"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88203037","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Typically, S-HAR machine learning methods were developed using handcrafted characteristics. Unfortunately, this is a complicated process that involves feature engineering and a high level of domain knowledge. Due to the development of deep neural networks, classification techniques could efficiently handle relevant characteristics from raw sensor data, resulting in enhanced classification outcomes. In this study, we describe a unique method for S-HAR based on ensemble deep learning with sensor nodes connected to the waist, chest, leg, and arm. Implementing and training three deep learning networks is performed using a publically available dataset, including wearable sensors from eight human actions. The findings demonstrate that the proposed Ens-ResNeXt model provides the maximum accuracy and F1-score, which is superior to existing techniques.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"33 1","pages":"488-492"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76560694","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All existing traditional statistical channel models can be derived from this. Atmospheric turbulence degrades the performance of a free space optical communication (FSO) system. Spatial diversity is a promising technique to enhance the performance of the system. In this article, an FSO system is analyzed with spatial diversity with on-off keying modulation over $mathcal{M}$-distributed turbulent channel. A novel closed-form expression for bit error rate is derived for the proposed FSO systems over this channel and analyzed the effects of pointing errors.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"98 1","pages":"268-272"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72732274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some surveys showed that the number of people going abroad for further research and graduate studies has accounted for 40% of the number of graduates. Many of them get into the influx of scientific research institutions in terms of demand for talent, which has also been close to saturation. It means that delayed biology graduates are going to face more severe problems in employment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the bioengineering courses and employment opportunities on job-seeking websites, then extract them into the knowledge about self-competence. The level of self-competence affects the employment possibility of bioengineering college students. The knowledge map was constructed to reference students' study paths. This study is helpful to the bioengineering college students' self-improvement and career guidance development.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"19 1","pages":"114-119"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79341170","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there have been minimal efforts in centralizing such activity for efficient hospital management. This paper presents the development of a full-stack fall monitoring system with edge computing and machine learning technologies. Using a 3-axis accelerometer of a smartphone, motion data is collected and directly sent to an edge computing platform wherein a shallow neural network is directly trained to classify the motion data into positional states: stable, falling sidewards, falling flat, and standing up. A confusion matrix is presented to evaluate the performance of the neural network model, both in training and in real time. A cloud-based approach using ReactJS for front-end integration and Firebase's Cloud Firestore with NodeJS embedded capabilities for real-time data storage and embedded classification is implemented.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"65 Suppl 1 1","pages":"203-208"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84316143","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of using gamification as an instructional method in work-integrated learning (WIL) within an organizational context. We designed a gamification approach tailored to develop competencies and motivations in WIL, and we collected data from fourth-year students of Modern Management and Information Technology who participated in cooperative education for at least six months. The collected data was analyzed using a structural equation model to identify relevant factors and provide insights into the use of gamification in WIL. Our study identified seven categories of motivation for using gamification, including goal setting, self-monitoring, rewards, sharing, social comparison, cooperation, and social learning. The findings demonstrate that gamification can be an effective instructional method in WIL for promoting engagement, collaboration, and drive among learners. The results have important implications for future research and practice in this area.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"25 1","pages":"126-130"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80979041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though this form of performance be seen as an alternative of choir continuity during uncertain times, this practice is problematic when it comes to the absence of social interaction and the reduction of artistic experience because of digital technology. The virtual choir created new paradigm of artistic achievement in choir with the presence of digital audio workstation where all voices are treated as database and audio engineer has a big role in creating the final artistic result. This research tries to explore the phenomena through exploratory sequential approach employed 65 singers, 14 conductors, and 5 audio engineer (N=84) using quick online survey and in-depth interview. The result showed the three main case and the exploration on (1) the role of audio engineer as artistic creator to take over the singers and conductor, (2) the reduction of artistic experience due to digital approach, and (3) the absence of in-person social interaction in providing social experience as well as achieving artistic goals.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"34 1","pages":"419-422"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90237308","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This physical activity can stimulate the heart muscle, causing compression to expel blood. However, suppose the electrical system has a problem; it will cause the heart beats with an irregular or abnormal rhythm, or a short circuit occurs in the heart chambers that we call arrhythmia disease. The results in an irregular heartbeat; too fast or too slow cause the problem of pumping blood to different parts, sometimes very intensely, until causing death. In Thailand, there are a large number of patients suffering from arrhythmias, both knowingly and unconsciously. People know and receive treatment by using heat waves shot into the heart to cure and recover from symptoms, but some are incurable. Moreover, there is a lack of health care services for healing and recovering from the disease. Thus, a considerable number of patients are waiting for treatment. To reduce the gap, these patients should be able to care for themselves and perform continuously to improve every day. The critical factor is that the cardiologist needs more detailed information and disease symptoms to increase the efficiency of diagnosis. In this research, we design and develop a tracking and notification application for arrhythmia disease from the patient's daily checkup and the user's information. The proposed model is to create a mobile application to record data that could connect to a heartbeat detection device. Then, analyze the recorded data to suggest a consultation by the cardiologists about further treatment. Moreover, a notification system will remind the patients to take medicine and warn them of emergency events relatively close to them so that they can provide immediate help in the event of an emergency. As the results, the evaluation of the proposed model by cardiologist shows that this application has a good feature in encouraging patients or those who suspect themselves of arrhythmia disease to self-healthcare checkups for themselves and collect their data in real-time without going to the hospital.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"26 1","pages":"554-559"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87902548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
