Enterprises strive to use these technologies to discover the worth of their consumers while understanding their rivals is required to get a decisive advantage in competitive marketplaces. In this situation, existing competitive intelligence practices require more fundamental theories to underpin them and the awareness to apply these strategies. This study will propose theory-based indicators as criteria to evaluate competitors intelligently through machine learning techniques and depict the competitive landscape using the experts' suggestions. The results reveal that the XGBoost model provides the best performance in evaluating competitors and will be used for a competitive landscape depiction with experts' suggestions. The competitive landscape shows that companies with medium R&D and high R&D are mainly located in Eastern China. In all provinces, Beijing is the most competitive. Given the number and proportion of high-R&D logistics companies, the Beijing market is nearly saturated and presents a high market entry barrier for entrants.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"6 1","pages":"131-137"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82123945","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Smart glass is one of the intelligent wearable devices that can be used for various purposes, including healthcare monitoring, fall detection, sleep tracking, and human activity recognition (HAR). Smart-phones and smartwatches are the primary wearables utilized in sensor-based HAR to collect human motions for training recognition models based on physical movement. These wearable tools, nevertheless, are more intrusive than smart glasses. Using IMU sensor data acquired via smart glasses, we investigate deep learning algorithms for detecting people's activities of daily living (ADL). This work proposes a hybrid deep neural network that automatically extracts spatial-temporal information from raw data to enhance identification $mathbf{p}$ erformance. We performed tests to evaluate deep learning models using a publically available benchmark dataset, UCA-EHAR, which included IMU sensor data from multiple ADL from smart eyewear. The recommended CNN-LSTM model achieved the best effectiveness with the highest F1-score of 93.20%, as determined by experimental findings.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"121 1","pages":"474-478"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86850669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aims to increase the efficiency of teaching and learning strategies on a modern management course's system analysis and design topic by providing students with the knowledge and ability to apply theory for solving problems in various contexts. It is a perspective to change the teaching and learning style to a more active learning approach by adjusting the classroom learning style to a collaborative learning approach. This allows students to work in groups instead of listening to the lecture from instructors; it also encourages them to brainstorm by exchanging their ideas with their classmates. It could turn the lecturer into a mentor for observing and advising students during learning activities. Besides, changing the learning style to the flipped classroom approach encourages the students to learn lessons before attending the class, regardless of time and place. Each student can learn lessons in a suitable environment for them, and they can spend more or less time for studying depending on their proficiency level. This approach will allow students to have more confidence to participate in collaborative learning once they have a good understanding of the lesson. This research was conducted with 115 undergraduate students enrolling in the system analysis and design course. In the case of binary datasets, the Imbalance Ratio (IR) can be used to measure the amount of imbalance. However in the case of multi-class datasets, since it only takes into account the frequency of the most frequent majority class and the least frequent minority class, it fails to encapsulate any properties from the intermediate classes. An imbalance Degree (ID) was proposed to overcome the issues of IR by considering information from the intermediate classes as well. Nevertheless, it required us to choose a distance metric that largely influenced the results and could lead to unfavorable results. It is also assumed that the number of minority classes impacted the extent of the imbalance without considering their individual contributions, which is not correct. Thus, ID cannot be chosen as an authentic metric if this assumption is breached. Furthermore, another metric called Likelihood Ratio Imbalance Degree (LRID) was proposed to make the metric independent of the number of minority classes in the data. However, it considered the imbalance to be directional and assumed both positive and negative values for individual contributions from classes. In this study, we obtain a more authentic procedure to measure the extent of imbalance extent using statistical divergence from balanced class distributions.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"2 1","pages":"403-408"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89452086","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At first, the pixel values for different RGB channels of a plane color image were represented by an 8-bit binary number. The bit interspersing operation has been implemented on the bit stream generated by considering a particular block size for each color channel and reshaping it to the original size. The cipher image was then constructed by performing a bit XOR operation on the resultant image and the chaotic sequences generated by a 4D hyperchaotic system. The initial state variables of the said chaotic system have been developed from a 32-character secret key. This operation has been repeated three times, considering different block sizes of the newly generated cipher image after each stage. The main strengths of the proposed algorithm are the bit interspersing and image-dependent chaotic key base pixel substitution by bitwise XOR operation. A set of standard security tests are conducted to test the reliability of the suggested encryption method. Comparing the crypto-parameters to other recent works, we find that the proposed algorithm is better than the other methods.","PeriodicalId":38808,"journal":{"name":"Transactions on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communications","volume":"162 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84967947","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
