Zaretsky, I A Nikolaevskaia","doi":"10.17759/CPP.2019270207","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17759/CPP.2019270207","url":null,"abstract":"This paper describes the possibility of using a multi-dimensional model of the zone of proximal development for a qualitative analysis of the cognitive-personal dynamics of a child’s development in the process of overcoming learning difficulties. The model was developed in the framework of the reflective activity approach to the provision of advisory assistance. The use of this model for analyzing the dynamics of the cognitive-personal development of a child makes it possible to establish “developmental steps” recorded as new formations in the cognitive abilities of the child and to determine the personal characteristics associated with the primary cognitive changes. A case of providing counseling psychological and pedagogical assistance by means of a reflective-activity approach was considered, the situation was assessed at the beginning of the counseling process and after 8 sessions, the main changes were reflected. Engagement strategies (e.g., cognitive restructuring, problem solving, and social support) include an active effort to manage stressful situations, and disengagement strategies (e.g., self-criticism, wishful thinking, problem avoidance and emotional concealment) are characterized by behaviors and thoughts that do not intend to modify the situation. Several studies have shown that disengagement coping strategies have the largest effects on psychological symptoms. Goal. To identify which engagement strategies are most effective in reducing the probability of using disengagement strategies, the objective of the present study was to determine the causal relationships between the engagement und disengagement coping strategies and to relate them to psychological symptoms. Method. For the development of a structural equation model (SEM), an online data collection was performed in Germany (N = 295). Results. Self-criticism and emotional concealment stood out with a negative impact on other disengagement strategies and psychological symptoms. As far as engagement strategies were concerned, the role of problem solving and social support was emphasized. Cognitive restructuring had an ambiguous nature since it had negative effects on certain disengagement strategies but also a positive effect on problem avoidance. Russian scientific and psychotherapeutic literature lacks scientific studies that comprehensively consider the effectiveness of animal-assisted therapy (both positively and negatively), its use in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and analyze in detail the researchers’ own experience of using animal therapy with a description of specific cases. Hence we discuss the key characteristics of animal-assisted therapy, describe the procedure of registering an animal for participation in therapy, analyze the results of using animal-assisted therapy for various psychotherapeutic and psychocorrectional problems, and substantiate the efficiency of animal-assisted therapy within CBT and its catalytic role in therapeutic processes. We describe the experience of using animal-assisted therapy as part of CBT. Earlier on, adepts of the psychoanalytic approach considered certain patterns of early interactions with the mother and significant others as a pathogen contributing to the development of schizophrenia in children, which caused stigmatization and significant distress of the patients’ relatives. According to the modern approach, close relatives of the patients are viewed firstly as people suffering in their situation and requiring psychological support, and secondly as one of the main factors defining the patient’s rehabilitation potential. The modern views refer to the fact that adequate family relationships can positively influence the opportunities of social adaptation of the patient, reduce the disease recurrence and contribute to an increased compliance. At the same time, negative relationships produce the opposite effect. An important place in the article is given to the section «Legal regulation of psychiatric care». During the work of the section, the need to update legal aspects of providing psychiatric care was actively discussed, since the Law «On Psychiatric Assistance and Guaranty of the Rights of Citizens to Whom It Is Granted» was adopted in Russia 30 years ago. The section «Legal regulation of psychological aid» also attracted increased attention of the professional community, as it considered the current situation related to the promotion of the legislative proposal «On Psychological Aid» in the Russian Federation, the development and discussion of which has been going on for few years. Also, this section considered the ethical aspects of psychological aid and their relations with the legal aspects of its provision. Buzik","doi":"10.17759/cpp.2022300310","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17759/cpp.2022300310","url":null,"abstract":"The goal of this preliminary study was to carry out adaption of the Future Thinking Task (FTT) in 4 comparison groups: women without addictions and with normative anxiety and depression levels (n = 30); women with high levels of anxiety (n = 20); men without addictions and with normative anxiety and depression levels (n = 32); men with addiction (n = 23). We expected to find a number of specific differences between groups in terms of their FT parameters (thematic content and FT fluency) using the framework of FTT. Methods: FTT; Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale; phonemic verbal fluency task (PVF); AUDIT, the alcohol use screening test; content analysis; mathematical methods. Results and conclusions: We found differences between the control male sample and the clinical group of addicts, as well as between the community female samples with high and normal anxiety levels. Women with high anxiety had a greater number of negative future events. Patients with addictions had a reduced number of positive future events and total events across different time periods, and especially in the short term. The decrease in the number of positive short-term events may be explained by a greater self-destructive potential of addicts. The results reflect recognized specific features of addicted and anxious people’s FT. The findings on the correlations between PVF and FT fluency which were found in the male groups exclusively need additional verification. The first psychometric verification of the Kernis-Goldman Authenticity Inventory, which includes 45 statements and four scales in the initial version, such as Awareness, Unbiased processing, authentic Behavior, and Relational orientation, was carried out in Russia. The questionnaire was developed within the framework of the existential paradigm of personality psychology. Procedure and method. The study involved 704 respondents (144 male, 559 female, aged 17 to 32 years). To check the convergent validity, the Authenticity scale (subscales: Authentic living, Acceptance of external influence, and Self-Alienation) and the single-scale Moscow authenticity scale were used. Confirmatory factor analysis, parametric and nonparametric statistical methods were used. Results and conclusion. During the adaptation, the Authenticity inventory was reduced to 32 points (per 8 in each of the scales), in order to keep the original factor structure. It was found that the Relational orientation score is higher in females, and Awareness is higher in males. It was also found that the indicators of the adapted questionnaire positively correlate with the scores of Authentic living and the Moscow authenticity scale, and negatively — with the scores of Acceptance of external influence and Self-alienation. The study showed the structural and convergent validity of the Russian-language version of the questionnaire.
