These research aims to investigate and examine the effect of dividend policy on the share prices performance of listed companies under FTSE FBM100. This study measures a relationship between dividend policies (independent variables) which include dividend yield, volume traded, dividend payout, and company size, return on invested capital, free cash flow yield, volume traded (control variables) toward share price as dependent variable. The effects of dividend policy on share price movement are one of the most disputed topics in corporate finance. The share price is the most common factor for investors when making decision to buy shares. Various empirical studies can be found examining and analyzing the effect of dividend policy on share prices, however, the results are inconsistent. This study focused on the effect of dividend policy on share prices of companies listed on the FTSE (Financial Time Stock Exchange) FBM100 index from 2011 to 2020.. A total of 56 companies are sampled in this study after filtering, and data were analyzed using the regression model. The results of panel data regression model indicated that dividend payout has an insignificant effect on share prices, however, dividend yield has negative and significant effect on share price. Return on invested capital, volume traded, and company sizes by market capitalization have significant effect on share price while free cash flow yield had no significant effect. As a result, dividend policy has considerable impact on share prices. Thus, the result is important. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for companies in establishing dividend policies that will improve company performance and for investors in considering whether it should retain, increase, or decrease their stake in the company.","PeriodicalId":38526,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.9,"publicationDate":"2023-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83865808","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, sustaining the implementation has been an issue for them to reap the full benefit of LM. With this issue, this study is aimed to investigate the sustaining factors for LM, develop measurement items, provide valid and reliable constructs for LM sustaining factors, and empirically validate the measuring instrument using the SEM approach. Five sustaining factors and 30 assessment items were constructed by adopting, adapting, or self-developing based on the extensive literature review. In total, 151 discrete medium and large manufacturing companies in Malaysia responded to the survey questions. Following that, the constructs were empirically assessed using the SEM model. The findings show that all of the measuring items represent their underlying constructs and contribute significantly to their respective constructs. Some limitations were identified, including the fact that this study was collected from medium and large discrete manufacturing companies in Malaysia, hence resulting in restrictions on generalizability. This research provided valuable information for practitioners to gain more understanding and develop a plan for sustaining LM implementation.","PeriodicalId":38526,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.9,"publicationDate":"2023-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90521489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can be established in accordance with special laws in order to discuss and solve the common problems of the students. The first step to establish an association is to choose the representatives of the students. After discussing the common problems of the students, the solutions and decisions are made by the representatives of the association within group which is in charge according to slate and policy of the association. The representatives members could be ranked within a group less or more than 13 members as the president, vice president, general secretary, etc. One of the association representative’s duties is to find solutions to the problems and guide the students to be more effective in their study life. This study was carried out on the Yemeni Student Association in Karabuk University. The representatives of the association are 13 students, and the total number of Yemeni students in Karabuk University is around 600 students. According to the questionnaire shared with the students, the members who are getting helped by the association are approximately 303 students. In this study, to evaluate the internal consistency and impartiality among the association member answers using the reliability analysis, 18 questions were asked in a survey and the number of students who answered the questions was 109 students. The method used in the reliability analysis was the Cronbach Alpha method. If α (Cronbach Alpha) ≥ 0.70, then the content of the questions is appropriate and the reliability analysis is accepted which means the internal consistency and impartiality among the association member answers are (very or highly) reliable. Otherwise, the reliability analysis should be re-applied by exchanging the order of the scales (answers) or by deleting items (questions). The survey was shared using Google Form containing 18 questions and 5-point Likert scale. The application of the reliability analysis was made by using SPSS program, and the categorical values were exchanged to numerical values before analysis. The categorization of the categorical values was as follows: Demographic information : age, gender (1=male, 2=female), educational status: (1=language preparation, 2= university), and compatibility questions (strongly agree=1, agree=2, disagree=3, strongly disagree=4, undecided=5). The number of questions which reliability analysis was applied on was 15 questions starting from Q4 to Q18. According to SPSS results, Cronbach alpha value was 0.939, so reliability analysis was accepted.","PeriodicalId":38526,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management","volume":"29 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.9,"publicationDate":"2023-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72541561","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, the United Nations (UN) adopted the sustainability 2030 agenda with 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) to pursue economic, environmental, and social objectives. One of the most prominent concepts to achieve sustainability is circular economy supply chain (CESC). The basic idea of CESC is a system that aims to eliminate waste and preserves natural resources by keeping materials in use and a regenerative natural system. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to examine the connection between CESC and SDGs as well as the opportunities for research in the future. A systematic literature review on the CESC for SDGs is carried out. There is a significant increase in studies associated with the implementation of CESC to achieve SDGs. The results show that CESC contributes significantly to SDG 2, SDG 8, and SDG 12. Another finding is that technologies could assist CESC practices. CESC implementation for achieving SDGs is not only for big enterprises but also for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Discussions related to social aspects are less often carried out than from economic and environmental aspects. Future opportunities have been identified for four industrial sectors: manufacturing, agriculture, waste management, and natural resources.","PeriodicalId":38526,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management","volume":"2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.9,"publicationDate":"2023-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85161871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Covid-19 pandemic significantly changed the employees’ views on their careers. During the Covid-19 pandemic, organizations mostly used the flexible work arrangements like work from home (WFH) or remote work (RW) and hybrid work model (HWM) to run their business activities ensuring safety of employees. Work from home option and hybrid work is changing the work dynamics. It has become a significant reason for the employees especially women employees to continue their employment as they can also continue care-giving at home and do remote work. It has been reported that they were quitting their jobs when organizations insisted on them being physically present in the office. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of hybrid work model on happiness at work and employee retention and also to find out does the happiness at work mediate on the relationship between hybrid work and employee retention. Hence, the empirical study was conducted among employees working in IT companies. The sample size was 200 and the collected data was analyzed using SPSS and AMOS. Hybrid work model was found to provide employees the space and flexibility to manage their professional and personal life and also increase their happiness at work. Happiness at work was found to positively impact retention of employees and mediates on the relationship between hybrid work model and employee retention. In the situation of a high shortage of skilled employees, the hybrid work model could be the most effective method to attract and retain skilled employees, since it influences the employee’s intention to stay or quit their job.
