The quantitative method with a survey approach was used, and 300 local community respondents and 200 Muslim tourist respondents were randomly selected as the study sample. The data were collected using questionnaires that consist of questions about respondent characteristics, the level of awareness and concern for halal products and services, and satisfaction and recommendations for the halal-conscious community model. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical and factor analysis methods to identify the factors that affect the success of the halal-conscious community model. The validity and reliability of the research instruments were tested using content validity and Cronbach's alpha method, respectively. The results showed that the local community respondents had a high level of awareness and concern for halal products and services, with an average score of 3.8 out of 5, indicating that the halal-conscious community model has successfully increased the awareness of local communities. Furthermore, Muslim tourists showed high levels of satisfaction with the halal-conscious community model, with an average score of 4.1 out of 5, indicating that the model has provided halal products and services that meet their needs. In conclusion, the halal-conscious community model based on the Masjid in Makassar has been successful in increasing the awareness and satisfaction of both the local community and Muslim tourists","PeriodicalId":38526,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.9,"publicationDate":"2023-04-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90883204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bank Sulselbar is a regionally owned business entity engaged in banking services. Companies in the service sector must be able to provide the best service to meet the wishes of customers who require fast service. As the number of customers increases, there are queuing problems in serving customers, this problem results in many customers waiting for quite a long time. For this reason, this study aims to reduce the length of time waiting for customers to avoid queues that are too long . This research uses queuing theory analysis method with queuing model (M/M/S). The results of this study using queuing theory analysis, namely the model calculation (M/M/S) shows that the busy period occurs in the period 08.00-09.00, and 13.00-14.00 by adding 1 service facility from 6 to 7 customer service, there will be a decrease customer waiting time. The waiting time in the system in the time period of 08.00-09.00 from 25.15 minutes to 10.07 minutes, and the time period of 13.00-14.00 from 19.39 to 9.13 minutes","PeriodicalId":38526,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management","volume":"63 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.9,"publicationDate":"2023-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89357347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Behind the advantage, motorcycles also have disadvantages. As we often encounter or even experience ourselves, namely tire leaks. Riding a motorcycle with a punctured tire can exacerbate and endanger the user. Thus, the motorcycle must be pushed manually to the workshop for repairs which will undoubtedly require a lot of time and effort. Moreover, motorcycle users will feel tired and uncomfortable. From these issues, a solution was devised as a motorcycle emergency wheel tool. This tool's function is to support the leaking part of the motorcycle wheel and is inserted into the device that has been made so that the leaking tire is not damaged. The method used is designed for assembly (DFA). This method aims to study the processes and products of competitors in terms of design, quality, selection of materials, components, and production processes and then evaluate the assembly of manufactured products to design superior products. Based on the results of the development of a motorcycle emergency wheel tool that has been carried out, the innovative product is proven to have a lower price with a difference of Rp. 22,000 from the earliest product price. The assembly efficiency, earlier worth 0.9062 or 90.62%, can be reduced to 0.8169 or 81.69% by implementing innovative product designs.","PeriodicalId":38526,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management","volume":"10 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.9,"publicationDate":"2023-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77766987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

X is a company engaged in the toy industry. Located in Surabaya, this company has the vision to become a quality and professional toy manufacturer. Along with the increasingly intense competition in the industrial world, every company must compete to improve its performance evenly. So far, the performance measurement conducted by PT. X only tends to financial measures, so other factors receive less attention. It will impact delays in the process of achieving the vision set by the company. Against the background of these problems, it is necessary to conduct a thorough performance appraisal using the balanced scorecard method integrated with the factual matrix (OMAX). PT.X Performance Evaluation Results using the balanced scorecard method weighted 16 key performance indicators (KPI) with the Objective Matrix (OMAX). 4 KPIs belong to the green category, which means that they have exceeded the target, 7 KPIs belonged to the yellow category, which means that it needs to be improved so the performance can be improved according to the targets expected by the company, and 5 KPIs belonging to the red category which means it needs special attention to get it immediately corrective action.
