This research examines the differences and relationships between students' analytical thinking skills and science process skills with problem-based learning models in mathematics. The sample of this research consisted of 180 students. This research is a quantitative study with a questionnaire as the instrument. The obtained data were analyzed using the t-test and correlation test. The results showed a significant difference between analytical thinking skills and students' science process skills, especially on the indicators of Observation and Classification at SMPN 35 Batanghari and SMPN 8 Batanghari students who applied the problem-based learning model in mathematics. Furthermore, it was found that there was a relationship between analytical thinking skills and science process skills because students with analytical thinking skills possessed better science process skills in problem-based learning models in mathematics subjects.","PeriodicalId":385020,"journal":{"name":"Al-Jabar : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"122 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115089542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The work aims to prove that is a quasi-associative algebra and to compute its formulas explicitly. To achieve this aim, we apply the literature reviews method corresponding to Frobenius Lie algebras, Frobenius functionals, and the structures of quasi-associative algebras. In the first step, we choose a Frobenius functional determined by direct computations of a bracket matrix of and in the second step, using an induced symplectic structure, we obtain the explicit formulas of quasi-associative algebras for . As the results, we proved that has the quasi-associative algebras property, and we gave their formulas explicitly. This paper has two major objectives, first to explore the importance of the role of mathematics in the practice of Dhikr Jahar in Tariqa Qodiriyyah Naqsyabandiyyah and second to contrast the differences between mathematical phenomena and mathematical concepts in ethnomathematics research. Attempts to contrast the mathematical phenomena and mathematical concepts in ethnomathematics was expected to provide a sharper highlight in the writing of ethnomathematics research. This research used qualitative methods with two approaches, namely ethnography and phenomenology. The locations of the research are at Pondok Pesantren Suryalaya-Sirnarasa and Padepokan Talangraga Tasikmalaya with observations for 9 months in the first stage and then 6 months in the second stage. The number of respondents interviewed in this research were 48 people. Data processing was performed using the Nvivo 12 Plus. The results showed that there are many mathematical phenomena in the practice of Dhikr Jahar Ikhwan TQN. In carrying out the practice of dhikr, the Ikhwan used a mathematical concept with two events, fingers and prayer beads aids. The concept of counting in dhikr was used strictly by the Ikhwan. They believe that numbers have an important role in the quantity of dhikr. Contrasting mathematical phenomena and mathematical concepts can be done with an emic and etic approach and is expected to become an alternative style in ethnomathematics research. This ability could practice by using heuristic strategies in learning. Besides, these are assured to be able to promote metacognitive skills. In the implementation, teachers faced several challenges. This research aims to describe the challenges of teachers in implementing learning with heuristic strategies. This research is a descriptive qualitative. Participants of this research were 12 junior high school mathematics teachers from 12 high schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Central Java. Data collection was taken by questionnaire and added with documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman stage-data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion/verification. The data then validated using triangulation technique. The results revealed that some of teacher has already implement heuristic strategy in the learning process, but unable to define the heuristic strategy correctly. In its implementation, teachers experience several obstacles. These obstacles were found in providing non-routine problems to students, solving problems by students, and in discussions conducted to solve problems. However, according to other studies, STAD in some subject for school students cannot improve critical thinking ability. This study, hence, aims to discover the impact of the application of STAD in improving critical thinking ability, especially in mathematics course for university students. The experiment was carried out in a quasi-experimental design, especially the pretest-posttest non-equivalent group type. The findings of this study indicate that the application of STAD in mathematics learning can improve critical thinking ability. The advantages of using STAD can be seen from the increase in critical thinking ability, both abilities in the low, medium, and high categories. This study also confirms the findings of other studies that the application of cooperative and problem-based learning methods is effective in improving critical thinking ability. However, in contrast to other studies that reveal the benefits of STAD can be obtained after a long time of application (9 weeks - 8 months), this study shows that the benefits of STAD can be obtained in a relatively short time. This occurs because the treatment in the experimental class meets the criteria set by the experts, and uses three important structures proposed by experts, too. This research, therefore, has implications for the need to use problem-based cooperative learning methods. The design of this study was quasi-experimental. Data collection instruments were open-ended test questions of mathematical creative thinking. The normality test and the homogeneity test were used as the analysis techniques. The hypothetical testing was performed using one-way ANOVA and Scheffe's method. The results of the analysis showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. As a result of applying the Bamboo Dance learning model integrated with Course Review Horay, the students' mathematical creative thinking was better than the conventional learning model.
