Due to the various patterns of cyber threat against the advanced information systems and technologies, the well-practiced ITRM is expected from an organization's stakeholders. The well-established principle is the starting point of the practice. The methodology employed in this study is the theoretical review of relevant theories such as principle, practice and task-technology fit, and the review of general ITRM principle and framework documents. Additionally, content analysis method is applied to obtain keywords and classified into groups as derived success factors. The derived success factors for the appropriation consist of a suitable general principle and framework, an organization's well-established principle, a well-designed process, team structure, expertise of team, level of task complexity, and level of interdependence. Additionally, strong risk culture, good communication, training, and tools and techniques. The contribution of the proposed framework is to provide the factors for the appropriate assessment in ITRM principle development and practice.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114593706","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

BIM has been identified as a modern delivery technology that is revolutionising construction industry operation globally, with capacity to reduce inefficiencies, improved performance, and enhancing productivities through increasing collaboration and communication among project team throughout the project lifecycle. Despite this benefits, its acceptance have remain low due to lack of knowledge and skills required for it adoption and lack of competent BIM graduate injection to the industry. The paper aim at accessing the academic readiness of Higher Education Institution (HEIs) in Malaysia. To achieve this, the study first seeks industrial experts' opinions using interviews to evaluate their expectations from HEIs in the production of BIM competent workforce to the industry. Secondly the study employed an online questionnaire survey for HEIs' educators seeking to assess academic readiness for the production of employable BIM competent graduate to the industry. However, the paper submits that more is needed by HEIs to be academically ready for BIM to be integrated to HEIs academic programs. Also the study acknowledged that academic readiness will facilitates the realisation of institutional roles of the education sector of the industry and thus, prompting the review of curriculum to adequately take care of industrial needs as regards BIM competent graduate production.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129197303","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, not many of these findings focus on disable user especially the blind. Most of the technological advancement meant for the blind user is in the form of assistive technologies mainly screen reader. Blind user has highlighted the inefficiency of screen reader as well as other unobtainable and expensive assistive technologies. This paper proposes the use of touch sensation as one of the essential design element to exist alongside with other multimedia design elements. A prototype was developed incorporating the multimedia design elements and was tested among blind users to measure the usability score. The result indicates that touch sensation plays an important role in improving the representation of a computer application to blind. Associating touch sensation in improving the accessibility of computer application has produced totally new experience to the blind users in perceiving information thus enhanced the learning process altogether.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114951055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the case of Knowledge Audit Process for Inter-agencies (KAP-I) Framework, both formative and summative evaluation were implemented to ensure all evaluation criteria are met. The summative evaluation for the artifact was carried out through a structured walkthrough, a technique in simulation that provides feedbacks from the real world. An inter-agencies collaboration case study was engaged to simulate the framework. A total of six suggestions of amendments were addressed. The positive comments gathered and highlighted from the summative evaluation exercise proved that the formative evaluation had been well served. Despite the changes made towards the refined KAP-I Framework, the main processes and flows of the KAP-I Framework remain and it also proved that the KAP-I Framework is fit for the inter-agencies setup and KAP-I Framework has achieved its rigor, usefulness, clarity and completeness.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128769905","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, previous researches show that not all researchers willing to participate in e-collaboration and they still prefer to continue using traditional research practices and facilities. The resistances of user to participate in the e-collaboration are dependent on the user's behavior on making decision to take part and also the functions of technology provided. The reasons of why researchers reluctant to use e-collaboration are related to trust issues, lacking of peer support, self-motivation and experience of difficulty. Drawing from that, this study will investigates the factors influencing researcher's participation in e-collaboration from the perspectives of researcher's knowledge sharing behavior and technological. The factors identified can be used to enhance the e-collaboration tools that can help researchers conducting their research in online environment.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"720 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116129631","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Scientists and researchers need to analyze and make use of the data stored in different databases. One limitation is that these databases are stored in diverse formats. However, semantic web methods have introduced the Resource description format (RDF) to unify heterogeneous databases. In this paper we illustrate how to construct a knowledge graph out of biological RDF databases by connecting possibly related data. We also show how the resulting knowledge graph can be made compact. We, then show how free-text search can be implemented to access nodes in the knowledge graph. Finally, we introduce a way to display and navigate the created knowledge graph.","PeriodicalId":384130,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122810957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
