Its purpose is to reduce the luminous flux of the luminaries efficiently by reducing their voltage supply, resulting in the improvement of energy efficiency in the installation. The system is basically composed of electromagnetic components which provide robustness and high-performance to the device, as well as minimum maintenance requirements. However, the voltage regulation is based on the application of voltage steps. Aging studies of the luminaries have been carried out to analyze the impact of this discrete voltage regulation. A specific prototype of this voltage and stabilizer regulator have been in operation in a real outdoor lighting installation for more than one year.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130796935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The seeds of three hemp cultivars (Finola, Bialobrzeskie, and Carmagnola) were pre-treated in Plasonic AR-550-M and GlidArc apparatuses for three time expositions (180 s, 300 s, and 600 s). Commercial Plasonic AR-550-M apparatus was not suitable for plasma pre-treatment, because all seeds were obviously under a big stress. GlidArc device was suitable. GlidArc plasma pre-treatment positively affected the seeds of the cultivar Finola in all tested expositions above all. Seedling acceleration on the fifth day of the experiment showed higher values than control sample (153% in length and 127% in weight of seedlings). Although tested cultivars were taxonomically very similar, high differences in response to plasma pre-treatment were found.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131228030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The right sub-symbolic information acquired from sensors have to be combined with the symbolic description that points to the same physical object which is often a time-consuming and error-prone procedure, e.g. due to unsuccessful detection using machine vision. In this paper an extension of this anchoring concept is given using relative anchors which presents an intelligent object representation and allows the reduction of necessary machine vision operations. Also the inaccuracies given by the algorithms used for detection are taken into account and used to enhance the object anchoring. The concept is evaluated on a robotic system in a library scenario and the benefit is presented.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"79 8","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132801211","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When connected to the MG, an enhanced frequency controller, covering the main two frequency control levels, i.e. primary and secondary, governs the BESS active power. If the MG power quality worsens below a certain level, the system is able to switch in island mode and to supply the local loads. The reconnection is accomplished only after the BESS voltage is smoothly resynchronized with the MG voltage. The proposed control solution for a three-phase BESS is assessed by means of computer simulations.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134153695","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The investigation was performed by three independent methods: using a thermocouple for investigating temperature characteristics of the microwave discharge; according to the data of the \"active probe\" which was injected into the volume of discharge chamber; using an electric probe which was placed in the volume of plasma for measuring the electrical conductivity of the space. The experimental results indicate that for the levels of microwave power flux density in the discharge volume ranging within 0.06-0.08 W/cm3 the microwave field is entered into the volume of the discharge zone. This effect must be taken into account when organizing the processes of plasma-chemical treatment (the influence of microwave field on the parameters of the processed structures, explanation of \"loading effect\", when chosen construction of a system for supplying microwave energy to the treatment area, in the analysis forms and character of microwave field distribution in the gas discharge area, etc.) and for analysing the results of processing of materials and semiconductor structures which may be exposed to microwave energy.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134366438","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Plasma treated hemoglobin (Hb) and cobalamine are completely degraded in a non-thermal gliding arc reactor: the iron center of Hb is then positive to analytical tests. The degradation follows an overall 1st-order kinetics (k # 0.2 min-1) after a \"lag time\"(or zero order step) required by pH lowering and formation of peroxynitrite (ONOOH which splits into OH and NO2 and acts as a nitrating and oxidizing agent). The degradation of industrial blood samples requires 180 min treatment for 50% abatement (including a \"lag time\" close to 170 min partly attributed to the degradation of added sodium citrate as a stabilizer. pH and the circulation flow rate of the liquid sample have negligible effects on the overall kinetic rate.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114080588","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
