The main goal of each design is to find the optimal combination between performance and costs. The performance can be raised with optimized control algorithms implemented on a powerful MCU platform capable of performing even multiple tasks in parallel. A good shaped charging and balancing algorithm could increase overall battery lifetime and performance when backing up critical systems that needs to be up all the time, and doing all these at a relative reduced cost. Fast reaction time of the system is critical so that the devices connected to the UPS output remain always powered. Several reconfigurable electrical and environmental parameters and different communication channels with this smart UPS ensures that it can be embedded in a wide range of electrical systems.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121117437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The machine inductivities are computed in conditions of magnetic saturation and the value of the useful magnetic flux is established for high loads, taking the armature reaction into consideration. By means of the parameters such determined, the dynamic of the motor behaviour is studied when supplying by a voltage varying by an imposed law, for constant or variable resistant torque. There has been settled a program based on the methods of numerical computation, which makes possible to solve the integraldifferential equations with variable coefficients, by the fourth order Runge-Kutta method. This way, the pre-determination of the dynamic regime behaviour of low power direct current motors can be established with high precision. The results obtained by simulation are compared to those determined by experimental tests. The paper brings some completions over the authors' other papers because it simulates more exactly the magnetic field curve in the presence of the slots and of the magnetic saturation and it presents a computation method for the excitation winding inductivity for the shunt motor and for the series one.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122267012","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For example, it was shown that water can suffer some changes in its physico-chemical properties (REDOX potential, pH, etc.) due to the variations of intensity and/or frequency. The idea of certain modifications to the actual structure of the water when exposed to electromagnetic sources was criticized due to the low energy of the electromagnetic fields used (similar to the fields from cellular communication systems), which are weak fields compared to the microwaves radiant fields producing mainly thermal effects. The situation is complicated by the fact that most studied effects depend on the composition of the water and/or the environmental conditions.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125271518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially the electric drive is oftentimes oversized. Optimisation regarding an efficient design of the motor requires in-depth information about the coupled system of the drive itself as well as the conveyer-system comprising the rollers, the drive-belt and the conveyed boxes. By applying the Lagrange formalism on the system's energy equations, a system of differential equations is derived and dynamically adjusted with respect to the current operating state.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"6 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125470408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our research work is fixed on the vast topics of this research area. In this effect we create a software program dedicate to dc inductance calculation and to layout optimization for spiral inductors. We use a wide range of inductors in the application made with our program; we compare our applications results with measurements results existing in the literature and with three-dimensional commercial field solver results in order to validate it. Our program is accurate enough, has a very friendly interface, is very easy to use and its running time is very sort compared with other similar programs. Since spiral inductors tolerance is generally on the order of several percent, a more accurate program is not needed in practice. The program is very useful for the spiral inductor design because it calculates the inductance of spiral inductors with a very good accuracy and also for the spiral inductor optimization, because it optimize the spiral inductor layouts in terms of technological restrictions and/or in terms of the designers' needs.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129091232","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
