The initial equation is used after the area of hysteresis cycle is calculated using the LabVIEW VI's. It is important to have enough points considered on the major hysteresis loop to obtain with good accuracy the power losses. For this reason we use some VI's to interpolate the space between measurement data to have more datas. In this paper we made only the frequency dependence of the power losses and in the future we plan to go to the time domain. We try also to made the power losses separation between hysteresis losses and other losses taking for the DC case the frequency f=0,05 corresponding to IEC 60404 which specifies that for one major cycle is enough to be obtained in 20 seconds.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132929462","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The tolerance analysis method is based on the Monte Carlo Analysis (MCA) and on the Fast Monte Carlo Analysis (FMCA) based on the circuit transfer function. The circuit sensitivities are computed by means of the derivatives of the circuit transfer functions. A practical and reliable approach has been developed and implemented in a computation program for linear (nonlinear piecewise-linearized) analog circuits. The circuits can contain any type of passive elements, independent and controlled sources. Powerful modified nodal approaches to build the mathematical model combined with some symbolic computation strategies have been exploited, in order to reduce the computational effort and to minimize the numerical errors. A software tool was conceived as a useful and valuable support for research and design engineers.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132119714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The experimental measurements show that magnetic properties of the fluid are adequate to the actuator working conditions. An electronic module for the control of the actuator ferrite cored coils was designed and produced; it implements the pulse width modulation (PWM) principle. The module produces train pulses of adjustable frequency and fill factor to drive the electrical currents in the actuator coils. The magnetic field produced by the actuator coils generates magnetic body forces in the magnetic fluid that add to gravitational forces to drive the fluid in a forced flow. The motion is perceived as periodic stationary surface waves, localized above the actuator coils. Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation (by the finite element method (FEM)) are used to study and evaluate these processes. The heat transfer part of the problem was also studied, although thermal stability proves to be less of a concern. The device may provide a usable actuation resolution, as the results suggests.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"174 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115989251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, the dimensioning, design and optimization of these devices relies mostly on empirical procedures and determinations. Our proposed analytical approach provides a more accurate relationship for the constriction resistance, method based on the solution of Laplace's equation verified by the electric field inside the pole's conductive domain, in the steady-state regime formulation. Separations of variables method was used, leading to an accurate expression for pole's electric resistance which takes into consideration the electric current constriction phenomenon. This precise relationship becomes particularly useful in various important design and dimensioning computations, e. g., the prospective value of short-circuit current, at a the specific level of the electric net, where these electrical apparatus are placed.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116440493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this contribution, a description of a system capturing and re-directing sunlight into open spaces inside the building without affecting the inside temperature (isotherm) is given. The system mainly consists of three principal components: a mirror capturing the light of the sun and reflecting it inside the building via a prism system, a printed circuit board with two photovoltaic sensors for positioning the mirror, and finally, a motor rotating the printed circuit board and mirror. A closed-loop control system to track the movement of the sun is proposed. A relatively new approach to establishing the authenticity of digital, as well as analog, audio recordings is the method of Electrical Network Frequency (ENF) analysis. The method is based on tracking the variations of the ENF in the mains hum present in the questioned recording, and comparing the track to a database of referent ENF recordings made directly from the power grid in the time period in question. The paper proposes one such system, designed to log the ENF track in high quality directly from the power lines. The signal conditioning modules provide several functions, such as: attenuation, galvanic isolation, filtering, A/D conversion etc. In this paper, directions for proper dimensioning of the signal conditioning modules are presented. Additionally, a prototype realization of a signal conditioning circuit and its characteristics are given. The power line signal recording for the purpose of audio authentication was realized by using a LabVIEW based virtual instrument.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128562987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
