The authors show how the occurrence of mechanical impurities in the produced fluid affects the operation of downhole installations and the number of well maintenance operations. The paper provides information on the results of measures implemented to prevent mechanical impurities from getting into the pump, whereupon the situation with wells complicated by mechanical impurities has significantly improved. To improve the efficiency of operation of curved wells with high oil viscosity values and abnormally low reservoir pressures, various downhole sucker rod pumps and new solutions for sucker-rod screw pump (PCP) installations have been developed. The analysis of existing PCP designs was carried out.\u0000 The today's key strategy of Sheshmaoil Management Company LLC (Republic of Tatarstan, Russia) is to maintain oil production by applying highly effective well interventions (WI), i.e. hydraulic fracturing (HF) [1, 2]. This method of reservoir stimulation has been massively implemented in all seven production companies of Sheshmaoil Management Company LLC since 2014. Mainly transition to such type of WI is connected with abandoning of ineffective methods of production stimulation with various options of acid treatment:\u0000 – acid treatments of bottomhole zones; – large-volume selective acid treatments; – acid hydraulic fracturing; – foam-acid treatment.

As the number of ESP installations increases annually, there is a greater awareness of their environmental impact and a growing responsibility to reduce the associated carbon footprint because frequent workovers to replace failed ESPs are primary sources of carbon dioxide emissions from the oil and gas industry. Because of this, companies are beginning to pursue cost reductions and look for methods to mitigate the consequences of production. Systems for monitoring ESP performance in real time are currently being developed on the basis of data analysis to detect potential problems in advance.\u0000 This paper presents a digital solution for tracking ESP performance that includes an automated data processing pipeline and the use of statistical metrics to analyze the dynamics of failure and run life at the system node level. This comprehensive analysis helps diagnose problematic equipment nodes using developed web applications. The main scope of this Brownfield and Rejuvenation project is as follow;\u0000 Decommissioned two (2) of the existing old remote vent platform BEV-A and BOV-A platform. Monetized the gas produced from the wells by installing Ejector Vapor Recovery Units (EVRU). Performed the conversion and integration of the existing venting system with the new Central Processing Platform (CPP) flare system.\u0000 In Malaysia, it recorded the annual CO2 emissions rate in 2020 is 272.62 million t lower than the previous year in 2019 with 278.88 million t (Hannah Ritchie & Max Roser, 2022). The overall strategy developed during the front-end study of this project, the objective to achieve zero continuous flaring and zero venting, was the main objective for the project apart to sustain the production from this oil and gas field in Sarawak, Malaysia. It was a crucial project to support the international agenda and target for the zero-emission producing platform, yet still, prolong the production of gas and oil from the field. The challenges were also to work the hook-up and commissioning of the new facilities on the existing brownfield platform. This new facility needs to install a knock-out drum, flare system, EVRU, and decommissioning existing facilities such as vent platform and compressor. Through this comprehensive, detailed engineering and study, the construction commenced and translated the actual execution during the offshore works & the team successfully installed all new facilities with the existing platform and integrated the system. The integrated commissioning and start-up were structured detailed in and out to ensure the ultimate sustainability target for the project on zero venting and zero continuous flaring are achieved.\u0000 Offshore execution for this project was held from 2018 until 2021, and the team achieved decommissioning of the existing old remote vent platform. This ensures the zero venting for this field that has been producing for many years, and finally, we reached zero venting for this field and supporting the PETRONAS sustainability target for net-zero emission by 2050. The project also successfully converted the vent to the flare system of the existing brownfield platform with the integration with the new Central Processing Platform (CPP). A successful project that ended the 40 years of venting gas into the atmosphere is a significant milestone for a sustainability project to save our environment from carbon emissions. Conventional hydrate prevention relies on the continuous injection of chemicals to alter the chemical potential of the mixture stream. Such a method has the disadvantages of high cost, high toxicity, and high environmental impact. Effective hydrate prevention methods are urgently needed in offshore petroleum engineering.\u0000 When fluid in nozzles or near turbine blades experiences an abrupt pressure drop, cavitation bubbles form and accumulate in the fluid. Bubbles collapse as they move downstream along the flow. As the bubble collapse, extremely high temperature and high pressure are generated, and the ambient fluid around the bubble is heated. In this paper, the thermal effect of cavitation is introduced into methane hydrate prevention. A numerical simulation of cavitation inside an injector was performed, an experimental setup was established, and the influences of various working parameters such as injection pressure, injection frequency, and fluid temperature on the thermal effect of cavitation were analyzed.\u0000 Computational fluid dynamics studies have revealed the bubble collapse process. The evolution of pressure and temperature inside and outside the bubble has been analyzed and validated by previous experimental observations. Different impact chambers have been tested for their cavitation performance, and the one with a cone shape shows superior performance over the other two. In the experimental observations, an increase in the injection pressure leads to an increase in the fluid temperature. An increase in injection frequency and chamber pressure facilitates the increase in ambient fluid temperature, while a further increase in fluid temperature hinders the cavitation heating process. A tubing configuration with a cavitation method is also proposed in this paper.

Though it performed well in certain field tests in the late twentieth century, the use of LN2 as the fracturing fluid is still largely unexplored. This research work examines the thermo-mechanical properties of coal specimens from the Karaganda basin in Kazakhstan. Coal specimens were subjected to LN2 treatment under varied lab-controlled conditions, such as the freezing time (FT) length and number of freezing-thawing cycles (FTC), both in dried and water-saturated conditions. SEM investigation for FTC and FT experiments for dried coal samples indicated that the LN2 freezing-thawing process can enhance the cryogenic fracture extent and the fracture interconnectivity. Moreover, uniaxial compressive tests indicated that compressive strength decreases beneficially with an increase in both the number of freezing-thawing cycles, while water-saturated experiments indicated substantial change after liquid nitrogen treatment compared to dried ones.
