For this, 39 subjects were recruited, with a primary diagnosis of depression and minimal symptomatology within the light classification. The Baptist Depression Scale (EBADEP-A) was used to verify the symptomatologic level and, afterwards, the Zulliger and Rorschach tests were applied alternately to control the effect of one instrument on the other. For the analyzes, the variables related to depression of both instruments were selected according to previous literature. The results demonstrated initial evidence of validity for some variables related to depression, improving the correlation between them, when compared to previous studies in which the number of responses in Zulliger was not controlled. Further studies on Zulliger using R-optimized application are needed to confirm these findings.","PeriodicalId":37995,"journal":{"name":"Avaliacao Psicologica","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67155347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

(2009). Results of a sample of 1112 adults show that the fiveitem version has excellent internal consistency (α=.926; ω=.891; GLB=.913); high and significant factor loadings (greater than .8; p<.01), and excellent goodness of fit indexes (χ2(5)=23.837, p<.001; CFI=.997; TLI=.995; RMSEA=.082, p=.045; SRMSR=.035; WRMSR=.837). The criterion validity was evaluated applying subscales of the PERMA-Profiler: positive emotions (ρ=.5702, p=.021) and negative emotions (ρ=-.1786, p=.0316). Finally, we find psychometric equivalence between the sex of the participants. In conclusion, the five-item questionnaire is valid and reliable in the Ecuadorian context.","PeriodicalId":37995,"journal":{"name":"Avaliacao Psicologica","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67155189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Besides, sought to assess the optimism level of accessed children and possible differences between sex, type of school and cities. The study was carried out in two steps, computerization of the instrument and study of validity evidence. In the first, two professionals of Computer Science participated, two experts in Psychological Assessment and ten children with sample characteristics. In the second, the sample was composed by 238 children aged four to 10 years (M=7.24, SD=1.6), 133 from Porto Alegre-RS and 105 from Teresina-PI of public and private schools. The TAPOC-i showed satisfactory internal consistency (0.72) and significant correlations with other measures. It was identified a significant difference between sexs. Confirmatory factor analyze indicated that the model remained one dimensional.","PeriodicalId":37995,"journal":{"name":"Avaliacao Psicologica","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49300664","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Participants were 70 older adults aged 80 years or over, with 35 being residents of Long Term Care Institutions (IG) and 35 living in the Community (CG). They were individually assessed through the application of a sociodemographic questionnaire, the CPT, the Positive and Negative Affections Scale, the Geriatric Depression Scale short form, and the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale. There were no statistically significant differences between the groups in the CPT, and they both presented preservation of affect, even with less elaborate cognitive functioning (predominance of carpets). The IG presented signs of worse functional conditions and statistically lower positive affection (PANAS), with a tendency for lower self-esteem (RSS). Both groups showed signs of depressive experiences (GDS-SF). The findings contribute to an understanding of psychodynamics in aging and to the future planning of intervention strategies that encourage SWB in older adults.","PeriodicalId":37995,"journal":{"name":"Avaliacao Psicologica","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.15689/AP.2019.1801.13512.10","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47623277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 270 active smokers from different states participated, the majority being female (51.7%, ƒ=139), ranging in age from 18 to 68 years (M=33.77, SD=12.54) and smoking time ranging from 1 to 53 years (M=15.01, SD=12.50). First, back translation and content validation procedures were performed. Next, the participants responded to the Tobacco Dependence Dimension Scale (TDDS) and a sociodemographic questionnaire. Exploratory factor analysis indicated a structure composed of 26 items divided between four factors. Evidence of criterion validity was also found for all the TDDS factors as a function of intent to join a tobacco dependence program. According to this initial study, the TDDS presents evidence of psychometric adequacy to assess tobacco dependence.","PeriodicalId":37995,"journal":{"name":"Avaliacao Psicologica","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.15689/AP.2019.1801.15195.02","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67155023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
