First, back translation and content validation procedures were performed. Next, the participants responded to the Tobacco Dependence Dimension Scale (TDDS) and a sociodemographic questionnaire. Exploratory factor analysis indicated a structure composed of 26 items divided between four factors. Evidence of criterion validity was also found for all the TDDS factors as a function of intent to join a tobacco dependence program.
