To protect the privacy among drivers, we propose to arrange vehicles into several groups. Vehicles in a group share the same public key, but each member can change his own set of public keys frequently, so the receiving vehicle cannot identify an individual driver in the group. In addition, each member has a private key provided by the Third Trusted Party (TTP) to enable the TTP, who is assumed to be fully trusted, to trace the driver who sends malicious information. Then, the TTP computes a fixed token of all members in the same group, but only participants in IVC networks can convince the receiving vehicle that the token is corresponding to their changed public keys set. So, we can achieve authentication.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116293190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Every application has a different set of requirements and it is highly desirable for all of them to share the available resources in an optimized way. The IEEE 802.15.4 standard for WSN includes guaranteed time slots (GTS) to schedule QoS demanding applications. However, the standard does not provide any type of QoS GTS scheduling mechanism and the authors are unaware of any other work that provides for service differentiation based GTS scheduling. We propose D-SeDGAM, a novel dynamic service based differentiation GTS allocation mechanism to provide QoS and service based differentiation for WSN applications. Our solution takes into account static and transient aspects of QoS provisioning in WSN to construct a dynamic scheduling method. This work demonstrates that D-SeDGAM provides significantly better performance in terms of QoS than the standard allocation method by simultaneously satisfying QoS and service differentiation demands.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126472642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, each product variant now incurs memory footprint and performance overhead due to the feature-richness of the middleware along with the increased cost of its testing and maintenance. To address this tension, this paper presents FORMS (Feature-Oriented Reverse Engineering for Mmiddleware Specialization), which is a framework to automatically specialize general-purpose middleware for product-line variants. FORMS provides a novel model-based approach to map product-line variant-specific feature requirements to middleware specific features, which in turn are used to reverse engineer middleware source code and transform it to specialized forms resulting in vertical decompositions. Empirical results evaluating memory footprint reductions (40%) are presented along with qualitative evaluations of reduced maintenance efforts and an assessment of discrepancies in modularization of contemporary middleware.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126478218","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Situation-awareness technologies can operate similarly to humans. We suggest a middleware system based on an ontology using situation-awareness technologies for logistics. The middleware is aware of the current user state and sends the required data to an application. It can help build new applications by enhancing speed and can support automated service processing by invoking the service required in the next working step. Situation-awareness technologies provide data or service appropriate to the object’s current state and allow human participation to be minimized. Moreover, they can automatically execute working processes without human intervention. Improving process automation of logistics systems with situation-awareness technologies reduces labor requirements for checking and validating objects and thus saves logistics costs.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128057773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Modifications to software do not always involve changes to a single, well-encapsulated module. Software developers are often faced with modification task that involve changes to source code artifacts such as function and comments that are spread across the code base. Developer must ensure that related entities are updated accordingly to be consistent with changes. In this paper, we propose hybrid approach that combines the best of data mining and impact analysis techniques to improve the overall performance (precision and recall) of change propagation heuristics. Our aim is to investigate the Function co-change in large software systems over period of time by utilizing various heuristics such as Function dependencies and History. It is not always every heuristic is good predictor for each entity. Therefore, we augment our effort to provide recommendations to programmers based on the prediction of heuristics that are best for entity needed to be changed. In this paper, we identify the best performing change propagation heuristic based on empirical case study, using a large open source system PostgreSQL database. This database consists of 31,000 functions and 1,493 files over the period of 12 years.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128181348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To present a new method to distinguish between machine-printed words and hand-written words using a novel statistical feature on base legibility and discriminator threshold are objectives of this study. Because of the hand trembling, sudden uncontrollable movement of hand and sudden pen shift on the paper, machine-printed words are more legible than hand-written words. The feature is extracted using the Freeman chain code as they are focused on measurement of words legibility. The obtained quantity, which is introduced in this work for the first time, could be a distinguishing criterion for machine-printed words from hand-written. Practically, our method is applied to a mixed and unrefined Farsi database which includes the two above typologies of words. Removing machine-printed words from database and constructing a pure hand-written Farsi words is the other objective. Determining the threshold level, the accuracy rate of the method employed was calculated to be over 96.02%.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134404451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main objective of an EA approach is to define the layout of organizational components and relationships among them, in order to understand the integration of objects for further improvement. In a healthcare context, EA has the potential to facilitate integrating healthcare units with business architecture. Adapting appropriate tools for management analysis and decisions by healthcare management could have a significant impact on healthcare organizations such as in hospital goal achievement. Process analysis within EA has the potential to improve understanding of healthcare functions leading to better healthcare-IT alignment. The healthcare domain is significant due to its sensitivity of operations and human involvement. Although improvement is welcomed in the healthcare arena, it is problematic and challenging to manage resources and service improvement is difficult due to the complexity of operations. This research is intended to explore a process view and modelling of healthcare using EA. Also, this research is based in a hospital in the United Kingdom. The research aims to design and provide the insight of an EA approach to process architecture for healthcare-IT alignment. In our case study, we analyzed healthcare organizational processes. This paper conceptualizes this analysis and provides an overview of healthcare processes in the context of EA to improve healthcare management.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134101734","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
